The Voice Realm Reviews 

Unsurprisingly, clients love the Voice Realm. After all, the rates paid to voice talent are absurdly low, so it's nice and cheap for them. And Voice Realm staff badger talent (without a lot of social niceties) for a response to direct job requests, even if such requests come in the middle of the night for the talent's timezone. There is no "decline" button for such direct requests by the way, the assumption seems to be that you will accept any job, as if you are their employee! I signed up a few years ago, when I didn't know much about the market rates for different types of work, but ceased my paid membership as it dawned on me how heavily the pay is skewed in the favour of clients. And of course, as well as their annual subscription, Voice Realm take a percentage of every single project fee, although they are not even transparent about that percentage as a review of other voiceovers recently revealed that they have been using different percentages with different people. On top of all that, their behaviour on social media has been absolutely abominable (their main Twitter accounts are currently locked and have been for a while as they can't take the heat of being called out on their awful behaviour). Stay away.

This site is a life saver for me! The talent is amazing, the prices are extremely affordable, the process is streamlined and intuitive. I have tripled my productivity since I started working with Voice Realm. Also, the turnaround time is incredible. Posted audition on a Friday, and recorded 4000 words with a total professional on Saturday. Thank you Voice Realm!

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Exploitative platform that offers zero protection for artists. Jobs at short notice which pay peanuts and that the client can cancel at any point. Not worth it. Unethical.

Truly an unethical and offensive ‘company’ who consistently belittles talent and operates under extremely poor judgment. Just look at @thetwistedworldofvoicerealm on Twitter to read about talents experiences of them. Non of those who supposedly work for them can be traced to a real person. Their reviews of themselves are made up. Really disturbing and destructive behaviour of so called ‘professionals’.

This company is without doubt the worst site that a voiceover artist can join. Not only are their rates way lower than what is deemed to be acceptable, it is run by petulant, rude staff that swear and insult voiceovers on social media.

I have witnessed them calling one voice talent a b**ch and a c**t on Twitter. These tweets were screen-shotted by numerous voiceovers, before TVR deleted them.

They have fabricated glowing reviews and customers on their own site and have been found to have used stock photos of people, claiming that they are satisfied customers. After being called out about this, they then changed the photos and names multiple times in a poor attempt to cover up their devious and shoddy work.

When people complain about their rude, unprofessional and bullying conduct on social media, they have a stock response that "these posts were made by a new intern and they have been reprimanded." This excuse has been used by them for YEARS and no longer washes. It's nonsense.

Finally, even their employers are fabricated! Try and find information about any of them, you can't! Look on LinkedIn, try and Google them! This is such a p!ss poor company, that I'm surprised that they are still in business. The whole outfit is a massive cover up and they exist to insult the very people they serve. They are rude, childish, completely unprofessional, and obnoxious. AVOID!

Low rates for VOs; undermining the industry. Aggressive customer support system that threatens profile removal if ridiculously low paid jobs aren't recorded and sent within a couple of days. Worst of all, are the shocking, playground, bully-boy insults and defamation directed at former VOs on their site that have called them out. Not to mention retaliation for poor reviews on Trustpilot. A shameful company. Beware.

Shocked and appalled by this company's behaviour. Publicly bullying voice talents with swearing and misogynistic language and behaving wildly unprofessionally - they currently have locked down their 3 Twitter accounts which the abuse was sent from. Equity UK (yes, the professional board) is investigating. That should tell you enough.

Their website features fakes testimonials using stock images with made up names (and logos stolen from a generator website) and they even changed the name of a Microsoft head of department, who when tracked down, shot down any association with The Voice Realm.

They then replaced his face with a made up "Joanne Culley", the image of which was of a girl from Pakistan who's father had been kidnapped. Yep, instead of stock, they stole a picture of a girl interviewed about her father being kidnapped. (View the website through Archive.org and you'll see all the changes that they made very rapidly).

None of their staff actually exist, their address is a PO box and they seem to be a front for one or two people. This company is a joke and a bad one at that. Avoid.

Unprofessional bullies who I shall never use again. Professional voiceovers should not be supporting this shameless company. Just take a look at the real reviews on Twitter to see what this company is really about. It will make your eyes water. Not the new fake glowing reviews that have sprouted up on TrustPilot to cover up the truth. Shame on you Voice Realm.

I have worked as a voice artist for voice realm for many years. The first couple years I would say their pricing to pay e-learning jobs was unfair and you got paid the same amount for doing a job even if you had to separate the recording into hundreds of files. I asked about this once and got a ridiculous response from a staff member claiming to have my same name. But soon after that their policies changed in that regard and I have been paid very fairly for several years now. All contact with customer service since then has been prompt and very respectful and helpful. I love how the price is the same for whomever you choose to use as your voice artist, which means the voice artist doesn't have to guess what price you are willing to pay. You simply choose the best voice artist for the job. So much better than voices.com when it comes to fairness and getting jobs for the voice artist.

Awful company ethics. Worked for this company previously and removed my profile because I didn't want my name associated with such heinous behaviour. It is NOT okay to bully and harass voiceovers and agents. This company uses sexism, bullying, lies, sensationalism and more to gain exposure. They also create fake testimonials using fake images, and fake people. If I was a voice seeker I would be looking for my voiceover with a TRUSTWORTHY Agent, or direct with the voice talent. Avoid!
(and before TVR complain that I didn't have a profile with them. I DID. I simply refuse to expose my acting name for fear of repercussions from this awful company. This review is based on my GENUINE experience.)

The Support Team at The Voice Realm is amazing! The kind of support that when you send an email to them ... you don't need to follow up on it. They are on it! Emails are responded to sooo quickly, that I sometimes feel bad for not getting back with THEM in a timely manner :-). They are very clear and answer every single question I have in my emails to them. Again, I never have to follow up on anything I send them, I can just send a question and forget about it because I know they're going to get back with me. Fast too! They are thorough and very courteous with their responses too.

The choice and range of talent is unbelievable. I can honestly say I don’t think we’ve ever heard a bad audition. Sometimes it’s hard to choose who to hire.

Extremely abusive on social media, entirely invented testimonials on the website. Avoid at all costs. The least professional company I know of.
