Buying a new house in a new area and from a number of RICS Surveyors Walker Dunn stood out.

Our level 3 survey response was excellent, informative, referenced throughout with photographs and scientific detail, thorough, in depth, well worded and continaned enough information for us to make informed decisions; which when you are making the largest purchase of your life is a very important one.

We would use Walker Dunn again without hesitation for their local knowledge, area knowledge and also overall knowledge and style of presentation when feeding back on the property purchase we intend to proceed with.

What you do is very important for people - thank you for making it a stressless process and thank you to Guy Roberts for all his work on this. 10/10

Received a good quick service with excellent updates and feedback. The report was well detailed and quite easy to understand, although some pictures would have helped. The surveyer was very happy to answer any questions I had and explain any parts of the report that I didn't understand. Very happy.

They were efficient and booking was easy. Where a potential issue was identified they were not specific to the actual location which I had to ask for. If a surveyor had seen something given the cost associated with the level of survey I had would have liked them to be more specific as to actually where they had seen the evidence to warrant the statement. That said they were more specific on other stuff. The report in general was very comprehensive and overall I am generally satisfied, just waiting a response to more detailed questions

We've had a £2045 level3 survey that, based on drone imaging and a pin damp meter, told us what we could have found ourselves with Amazon bought gear. The 70 odd pages were full of legal disclaimers (we take no responsibility for anything basically) and little concrete information. The surveyor was a nice woman (phone conversation) but she had little experience with period properties. She found isolated patches of damp but she made no attempt to map the possible cause (no damp meter readings of skirting boards mentioned to try and rule out electrical conductivity in an old wall versus real damp, etc.). No thermal cameras used. She picked on the usual culprits like chimney stacks and pointing etc The surveyors constantly hide behind the non-invasive nature of the survey but £2000 is terribly invasive for 70 pages of wasted paper. Every step of the way she recommended further investigations passing the baton to somebody prepared to do some real work. Well, it turns out there are very few out there. As soon as you request specific tests (BORESCOPE, Thermal Imaging) these recommended specialists are all fully booked for eternity. Because real work or a fact finding mission is hard work, time consuming and comes with responsibility. Why would anybody choose that over a copy and paste legal tent that delivers nothing but swallows up 2k? Save yourself some money, dear reader. Gerard M.

My structural survey was carried out by Daisy Jones. Her report was clear and thorough - and we had a very useful discussion once I had had an opportunity to read it and digest it.
Daisy was very helpful and followed up very quickly with further information requested by me to guide further investigations that she had recommended.

I got a level 3 survey done on an old property. Received prompt responses throughout the service. The cancellation policy was flexible also. Happy with the report and detail on it.

I had excellent 10/10 experience with Walker Dunn, i particularly want to recognise Dan Brew for the service and support provided.

As a nervous first-time buyer, I found Dan just so easy to talk to. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my (even silly) questions and made what could have been an overwhelming part of the buying process feel much more manageable and understandable.

What really stood out was that Dan made it clear he remained available to me as a customer should I need any further advice or have additional questions. I genuinely felt that he went above and beyond…which is something that can feel rare nowadays!

All in all found the whole experience to be reassuring and extremely personable.
