I had a brand new 21 legacy pro roller mower , from day one it always clogged the chute with wet grass and would only cut sort dry grass satisfactory
The roller broke in two and cost about £200 to fix at my expense, front wheel tyre came off turning at the end of lawn and air filter cover popped off when caught in Shrubbs
I did like the three speed but generally it was too heavy and hard to start , the bag was too high to catch the grass and although it was looked at by my local dealer no issues were resolved
I ended up giving it away to a guy who sells old mowers
I have seen some good reviews on these mowers but this one was a non runner from the start

I've loved my mower until today
I've loved my mower until today. As I was cutting the grass it suddenly would not go forward or in reverse. The motor is running blades are turning but it won't move in either direction.

Chris the sales guy from Weibsnd was superb , unfortunately the company supplying the lawnmower weren’t so good , today was my first day using the mower and the air filter screw wasn’t in tight and fell off but the worst is yet to happen , I heard a rumble from underneath the mower and the blade was loose and 2 more turns of the screw and it would have been off !!! I’ll be contacting Weibang direct about this but please if you get a new mower check the blade is bolted on right , this could have been deadly , apart from that once I tightened everything up it’s going well , great mower 👍

Weibang Legacy Pro. Like the gent in Ireland who listed the last review I am a qualified commercial horticulturist and have 4 of these machines who roughly look after around 150 varied sites from large gardens to blocks of flats.
Cut for cut wet and dry when these heavy machines are working they fill the grass box and create a good finish esp compared to the new Hayter 56 which just blocks terrible in the wet. However at a price! All machines have had drive problems within the first few years of using them. My older machines needed new drive cables and gear boxes within 12 months of owning them and the dealer did take some convincing it was not me along with pin issues as already described with the younger 2 this year going into Does and Son of Ulting and having to have the drive upgraded as part of there service and having to wait 2 weeks before getting them back. Good job I have an 2 old Hayters still going strong. The cables on these machines have now got springs on them to reduce the stress on the drive cables as they had a tendency to snap over regular use like sweets. I can agree they do suddenly just take off and have the marks of many obstacles which I have had to fight to avoid or not as the case maybe. To be honest even with the gearbox problems if they still made the old Hayter 56 with the wide box I would still be using them as the 68kg weight can be a job to pull on and off the van when you are getting to the last job of the day without a heavy grass box on. The last 2 things to tell folks to watch out for is to make sure you regularly clean the bag to increase airflow and reduce the weight. A sturdy box like the etesia would be better along with keeping an eye on the thin metal edging around the deck edge which can be bent if you are not careful taking it down a ramp and needs bending in to stop the blade banging against it. In a nutshell they cut well but unless you can do your own repairs watch your pocket as they will cost you repairs once you get through the warranty period let alone the down time. My thoughts now turn to buying an Alko or another model at less money and binning it after a few years.

Mixed feelings about weibang mowers…
Mixed feelings about weibang mowers currently. I bought 1st mower 18mths ago because of 2 Yr commercial warranty. Great mower and little issue til it was about 1yr old. Drive stopped on one side. Meant I was turning in circles all the time. Not wanting to have to wait for repair I investigated and found that 2 of the 3 pins in the drive housing were stuck in and it was causing the left wheel to intermittently not catch when drive was engaged. Bit of wd40 and some time and I had one free but couldn't get 3rd one out for love or money. Still this got me through the season which was very busy and I last week went to dealer to see of it could be repaired under warranty. Because I had fixed it initially. Myself I had null and voided the warranty. Ah well, ordered 2 new pin housing, 6 pins, 6 springs and 2 new seals. So 2 new units. All in this cost £60!!!! Sounds like alot of stuff but honestly the pins are 10mm long and a couple millimeters diameter, you'd get bigger springs on a very small fleas wristwatch and the seals are 1mm thick. Pins were £3 each x6, springs £3 each x6 and seals £3 per pair, the housings were billed at £20 the pair. Can't describe how much of a rip off this is. Only thing I'm. Glad off is that I can replace these items myself because if I had asked dealer to sort that it would have cost the price of a mower I think. Bought a 2nd weibang last year b4 any issues with 1st mower , mulch only with kawasaki engine, oil pump. Approx £800. Good Machine, great cutter and mulcher but when I engage the drive it tends to take off uncontrollably. Have had it back with dealer twice for readjustment but it still does the same thing. Not all the time but often enough to be a pain in the posterior. Twice last year I had to fork out to repair heating oil pipes that were hit because of this issue. Now when I use this machine I have to strim a good 2 ft around any objects or pipes in case it causes damage. It's great on a large lawn but I don't even take it out for the small ones anymore.
I cut 200 gardens per fortnight and tend to buy a new mower every year selling the first mower on at 2yrs of age and using the one from the previous year as my back up mower. I change the oil every month or 2 cut cycles and also swap out the blade. Cleaned weekly, more often if its wet and full service every year. The weibang has been my most expensive repair in 10 yrs of grass cutting. It's a great mower cut wise but other than dealer I can't find the parts anywhere and they are shockingly expensive, Lastly and very importantly, the decks on both are rusting like crazy. Every year I clean, scrape, sand, prime and paint and then apply a clear coat for good measure and it still rusts. They are a good sturdy mower, they cut well but they are not the excellently built machine I was led to believe they were. My mowers do alot of work in fairness and per garden cost they are good for the money but the issues I've had are likely issues that a regular non commercial owner will have with their mower. If the parts were more readily available and weren't disgustingly priced for such tiny items I'd definitely be giving it a 4 or maybe 5 out of 5 but from my recent purchase costs and experience I have to rate it down to a 3 out of 5.
Not blaming the dealer here either, I have checked out the prices of other items he has sold me and they are the same.or less than I could buy them.for online so I don't think he's bogged his arm in with the price of the tiny pins and very tiny springs. Based in Derry northern ireland by the way

Cracked dec…
Was sold 1 of these mowers on the 17th May 2019 , all singing all dancing mower, cuts in wet conditions etc.... great I'll have 1 😀☔.
26th june 2020 and the dec has cracked from the side shoot to the centre of the upper part of the dec! Took it back to the shop I bought it from today to be told that they spoke to their supplier and they would not cover it on warranty as they suggested that was caused by rough use!!!!.... I'm self employed, I look after my equipment, I only use this mower on 1 large flat lawn! It hasn't been knocked around! Cheap Chinese metals seem to be used! I've had mowers from B&Q that have lasted longer. Wont ever by another 1.... if they'd have replaced the dec then maybe I'd be praising them now... poor customer service.... 3 year warranty 🤔🤔🤔.... I dont think so. Avoid these mowers

Cuts nicely for a while!!
Weibang 56 Pro (£1400) Cuts nicely for a while, problems with drive pulley springs 2 have gone on me I now need a third, cables snapped, drive slowed, belts worn, little support and parts difficult to get. Drive chain came off and wore through the casing!! Both front wheels have had to be replaced, the front axle broke off! Buy a Lawnflite Pro instead.

I bought the WB537SCV 3 in 1 shaft drive mower 2 years ago, and honestly, this is a fantastic mower, up to now i could not fault it, the spring on the side shoot has come lose, but that is my fault, constantly scraping a rock or two. I use it only for mulching, without the mulching blade, does a really good job, and much faster than using the bag, i wish the dipstick was not black, very hard to see the correct amount of oil. All in all a good quality, heavy, but not too heavy, well made machine, once you get use to the shaft drive, and how to turn it correctly, it is a joy to use, a hose pipe connection on top of the deck would be a good addition for cleaning at the end of the season. In my view, this seems just as good as a honda HRX for a much better price, i hope i have many more years trouble free mowing, fingers crossed.

Have emailed three times for a Returns Label and have not had the courtesy of a reply!

Weibang 56 pro
I was looking to replace my 18 year old Hayter Harrier which has been a great mower, I rang Arb grounds of Derby and tolled them I have five big lawns to look after and I want the best rotary roller mower, they sell many different makes but guided me to the Weibang 56 pro which is a little wider stronger faster and heavier than my Hayter, what a brilliant mower this is, it literally cuts hoovers and rolls, I couldn't believe the amount of dust and tiny cuttings it picks up, it produces so much draft it fills the big grass bag with ease, I've only had it a month and I do all my mowing in dry conditions so I can't comment on wet cutting, comes with 5year warranty, I am so pleased with this mower I just hope it will be as reliable as my old Hayter

As a professional user I bought one of these as my dealer was raving about the build quality.
The machine is really heavy but cuts grass well wet or damp, that was the good news.
The machine has suffered with drive problems after about 5 months and has been repaired but now sits in my garage as the drive just clicks and won’t move after just over a year of use.
I regret buying one and couldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Shame as we run 5 Hayters, 2 atcos and a etesia and I hoped to change my fleet over to these eventually

I purchased a weibang legacy pro two…
I purchased a weibang legacy pro two years ago it has had three sets of drive belts fitted and this is classed as normal. It has an issue with the chain case wearing through this is caused (according to weibang)by me “moving the mower over hard surfaces on a low height setting” the replacement chain cover has been heavily reinforced but this is still not accepted as a design issue. I should also point out that due to pivot location the ground clearance remains the same irrespective of height setting. But weibang will not accept it is a design issue.
The three year warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on
Weibang UK have respond to this review and I forwarded the information they requested but over a week later Weibang UK have made no further response
Weibang uk Have now replied but are adamant that there is nothing wrong with the design despite them telling me “ the chain cover has been reinforced to make it last longer” what’s that if it’s not a admission something was wrong? Not forgetting the drive belt/pulleys that last only a few months.
I am doing nothing different with this mower than any other brand I have been using for the past thirty years and have never had this kind of problem before.
