It would appear that Whistl did not…
It would appear that Whistl did not undertake sufficient assessment of the potential impacts on neighbouring properties prior to relocating its hub to Astley, with those impacts now being experienced by local residents. This raises questions not only as to how this aligns with Whistl’s stated ESG and corporate social responsibility commitments, but also as to how the risks and impacts associated with the relocation were identified, assessed and managed through its ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System.

To clarify, Whistl is not the final delivery company. We facilitate the collection and processing of items to be handed over into the delivery network selected by the retailer. Once dispatch from our network has been completed, parcels are no longer held by Whistl and are with the delivery provider responsible for the final delivery.
If you can provide your tracking number, we'll be happy to check this and provide any further clarity available.

Adds needless delays, incomplete tracking.
Why on earth do companies use this extra part of the process? It adds pointless delays to receiving packages only to eventually by delivered by an easily accessible provider that perhaps should have been used in the first place with out the middle company. The tracking is pretty much useless as it only shows the infuriatingly slow progress through Whistl until it tracking stops when the package gets to the actual delivery company that it should have gone to directly in the first place. Despite eventually receiving several orders this way according to the company I ordered them from they still show as "on its way".
It's disappointing when a company uses Whistl as it seems to mean the package with take significantly longer to arrive.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate that the delivery process can feel frustrating when tracking updates are limited or when a parcel is not moving as quickly as expected.
Retailers choose to use carrier management companies such as Whistl for a variety of reasons, including access to different delivery networks, service options and cost-effective delivery solutions. The handover between Whistl and the final delivery provider is an established part of the delivery process and is built into the expected service timeframe, rather than being an additional delay.
It's also worth noting that many retailers select untracked or partially tracked delivery services. In these cases, the level of tracking available after a parcel leaves our network is dependent on the specific service and final delivery company chosen by the retailer. This can sometimes result in tracking appearing to stop updating, or online tracking not reflecting the final delivery status, even after the item has been delivered.
While we are limited in directly influencing delivery times once a parcel has been passed to the delivery provider, we'd be happy to look into your specific shipment and provide any clarity available. If you can share your tracking number, we'll review the journey and provide further information where possible.
