The return policy is meaningless. The shoes didn’t fit me — too wide in the heels. I followed the instructions to make an inquiry about a return and was offered an 80% discount on my next purchase if I kept the shoes. I declined. Return instructions were to send to an address in Leicester, UK, with a tracking number. The absolute lowest shipping price from Chicago, USA, was $49.25. I paid $70 for the shoes. I envisioned a huge hassle for a maximum refund of $20. I donated the shoes to charity.

This company advertises “Easy Returns,”“Risk Free” and “100%” customer satisfaction on Facebook, with a NY, NY address and phone number. Absolutely false. Shoes offer little support, returns must be sent to the UK. One cannot speak to a real person, and returns must be make within 30 days of purchase, even when it took over two weeks to receive after purchasing. DO NOT BUY!!

If you are OK with purchasing with one product and receiving another, WideStep may be a good fit for you. After providing photos, order#, photos of incorrectly shipped items (TWICE!), request for ordered item (TWICE), I have neither my product nor a refund for not having received it.
If you prefer customer service that does what it says, and actually follows through on their proclaimed service to "make it right", then this is NOT the place for you.
Bait. Switch. Collect.

Do not buy anything from this company - it's one big scam. Did not send the right shoe size - when I wrote to them they offered a 30% credit or they could send me another pair for free - I went with the free pair and they again sent the wrong size shoe. Wrote again and aid I had to return the shoes to England if I wanted a reimbursement..being in Canada I'd be looking at 45 $ shipping cost - I should have read the critics in Trust Pilot before ordering from them - Don't believe their hassle free return policy !

Was taken in by their website describing their shoe’s comfort, also citing that you could try them for 30 days risk free for a full refund. They shoes definitely weren’t the quality advertised and were definitely not designed for a wide foot.

The Widestep Customer Service team actually did respond in a timely fashion; however, they offered me a 80% discount on another pair of shoes if I kept the 2 pair I ordered that didn’t fit. I responded back that I didn’t want to order another pair that wouldn’t fit, which is when they offered me the option of a full refund if I returned the shoes to an address in England. What a joke!! This company should be prosecuted for false advertising for both the quality of their product and their full refund policy!

I did not receive the right size and they want me to return them to another country at my expense.
There is no size label in the shoes but they are much smaller than the measurements stated on the sizing chart so they must have sent the wrong size.
They claim less than 1% of customers use their free return policy. Thats because of the cost to return the shoes.
This is a scam. They tell you they will send one size then send something smaller.

The return policy for WideStep is a fraud. I purchased two pairs of shoes and received another pair for “free.” Though I purchased my size, they were all too big. The sneakers were actually very large. I normally wear a 7.5 (US). Requested to return. They said I was responsible for shipping fees and that I had to return them to an address in the UK. That means I have to pay almost as much as I payed for the shoes in shipping fees. Not good! Don’t buy anything from them.

I purchased shoes from them and 2 pairs came as the wrong size an 8 wide and i need an 8.5 wide which is what I ordered. so, they do not process returns or refunds unless you want to pay the shipping and custom fees. instead, they said I could get a code to have 80percent off my next purchase, so I purchased the same pair again. and once again they came to me as a size 8 not 8.5. So, they took $185 of my hard-earned money. Wehn i wrote them again they tried to do the 80 percent code I said no what you should do is send me the correct size shoe free of charge. so, they are not a good company and just want to keep your money.

I am so disappointed in my purchase of shoes. They look nothing like the picture. For them claiming to help wide feet these shoes pinch your toes together worse than regular shoes. It would cost me more to send these back (purchased 2 pair) than then to not. I am giving these to a thrift store hoping someone has feet like these shoes. Never again with this company. Also took 2 months to get here.

THIS IS A SCAM, I would leave zero stars if that was an option. The shoes when they arrived were narrower than any pair of flats I currently own. Hardly a wide toe box. Refund process is contingent on client shipping product to UK, more costly than the refund.

This company is unethical. Do yourself a favor—DON’T BUY FROM THEM. The toe box is narrow, not wide as advertised. Trying to return the shoes is a nightmare and costly. Also, I ordered the shoes the first week of March. They didn’t arrive until April 13th.

I wear a size 11 double A with a quadruple A heel and have hammer toes. To my surprise these shoes, Mary Janes, which have a wide toe, fit me perfectly without my having to create extra holes in the strap. They even gave me an extra padded insole to use if I want. Given that they fit me I can understand how people with wide feet would be disappointed, particularly given the name.

My mother ordered these as a slip-on shoe. they were soft in the back, very flimsy material and they had a tongue which goes down all the way to your toes when you did get them on. she cannot reach down to her feet. that's why she wanted slip-ons. False advertisement. She spent $90. $68 for returns to the UK. I don't trust that they'll send me the $90 back so we're just out $90. Very disappointed.

The shoes definitely did not have a "wide" toe box. They should NOT be advertised as "wide"; they simply are not. I attempted a refund & was offered a third pair at 20% cost, while keeping the two pair that didn't fit. I refused this offer but the shipping for the refund (from Canada to UK) was almost $50 & could take up to 90 days so I had no confidence they would make the refund window. Emails from service desk were polite but unhelpful. The "satisfaction guaranteed" and "easy returns" claims on their website are false. The website also lists a US address so I was unaware that returns would have to be sent to UK, a very pricey endeavour. I mistakenly thought ordering from the main website (versus a third-party seller) was the safe way to go but apparently not. I would rate this a very negative experience. I would recommend NOT buying from this website.

The shoes are not as advertised very poor quality and fit and i ordered white as pictured but are terrible they have a cream discoloured trim on them ! I tried to return as dud not suit my feet as them saying 30 day return they tried to talk me out of returning offered 20 % instead I said i want to return and then tell me need to be returned to the UK i checked price was going to cost me over $70 to post back I do not understand they are advertising as Australian and were delivered from NSW but return UK so have now lost my money of over $100 so very disappointed and angry worst experience ever 🤬

The shoes I received did not fit and were definitely not wide width shoes. The pictures also make them look like the toe is rounded, the shoes I received were more squared off at the toe. I requested a refund within the 30 days and was first offered 80% off another order. I refused and was then offered a 20% refund and I wouldn’t have to return them. Again I refused. Then I was told that in order to get my refund I had to ship the shoes to the United Kingdom at my own cost. Not sure why they have an address in the US if you cannot return items to that address.

The shoes were NOT wide in the toe box. Returning them is becoming a nightmare.

I ordered these shoes buy one get one with an extra orthotic for $90. They were not as advertised. On their own website size chart they claim the width inUS sizes is 3.7 inches. The ones sent to me are 2 5/8 inches wide. I don’t think even a child would fit in these. Furthermore it would cost me $257 to ship them back because the warehouse is in the UK. First they offered me a 40% discount if I wanted to buy a different size then they offered me a 20% refund. They claim they are a reputable company, I think not.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. DO NOT buy from WideStep. First, their shoes are not, as advertised, wide in the toe area. Quite the opposite. But more importantly, they advertise free, no hassle returns. NOT TRUE! When I initiated a return because they did not fit, they said I had to pay the cost of shipping to an address in the United Kingdom. When I emailed them a screenshot of their website promise that returns were free, they did not acknowledge that and simply maintained that they would not pay for return shipping. Left with no other recourse, I disputed the charge through my credit card company and they credited the charge back to me. Wide step then asked me to cancel the credit card charge back and promised to refund the money. Of course, I did not do that. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. Stay away from WideStep! They are disingenuous and dishonest!
