I have bought and traded many ukes from Matt at World of Ukes and would recommend to anyone. No upselling..he even persuaded me not to buy one time, knowing that it wasn't for me. Pre and post sales is excellent. They have all been given set ups even including free low G string or strap button if requested.
You won't regret buying here and the prices are good too.

Having just started on our journey of ukulele playing, my wife decided to buy a Uma Tenor for me as an early birthday present. We contacted Matt at World of Ukes and arranged to visit and view some models. We were very impressed with the showroom display and Matt's friendly, helpful advice. Having bought our Uke we headed home to Wales, extremely pleased with our purchase.
We have since bought 3 more from him online and every one has been set up for us (included in the price), and dispatched within days of ordering! Always arrived very well packaged. Matt is exceptional in terms of service and knowledge. He advised me in a way that was completely unexpected—in the best way possible. Matt is always friendly and helpful in both recommendations and specific requests. Excellent communication, great range that is well curated, every instrument is given care and attention you just don’t get from places like Am***n. Also the descriptions for every instrument feels personal, not just a repeat of the company copy. Always fast delivery and well packaged. Platonic ideal of ukulele retailers.

I Just bought a concert ukulele from Matt at World of Ukes... and its made me realise WHY its false economy to buy from big box pushers....I cant put this properly set up ukulele down !!! ....its such a pleasure for the fingerboard to feel this way.... especially for a beginner..... more so for a beginner..
( buying the cheapest for the kids or beginners...may end it right there )...He discusses on YouTube setting up all the ukes he sells so that the string/sting height is not too high ).It convinced me to give him a try and Im so glad I did ... This a great company! On March 13, I ordered a KA-T ukulele as a birthday gift for my dad who was turning 90 years old. The ordering process was super easy, delivery was super quick arriving March 15, and communication with the owner received a quick and helpful response. Matt was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure my dad received a treasured gift. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from World of Ukes again.

I recently received a VTAB EL-55D concert ukulele from World of Ukes and couldn't be happier.

I'm a musician and guitar teacher of many years experience but had never owned a ukulele before. I recently tried several in the £70-£120 range at various music shops in Birmingham, but did not particularly like the sound or feel of any of them, likely due to them not being well setup.

I had seen World of Ukes' site come up when searching for online retailers, and then began noticing positive comments about them on reputable ukulele video reviews. I decided to plump for one of their cheaper concert ukuleles, the VTAB EL-55D (£79.99), having seen a positive review by GotAUkulele and listened to the sound samples provided on worldofukes.co.uk.

Delivery was free and fast (I ordered it on Tuesday afternoon and received it on Thursday morning). The ukulele has clearly been well setup, having both good intonation and nice action. It's eminently playable and has a fuller tone and volume than I was expecting. After my middling experiences in the shops this was as good a first time uke buying experience as I could have hoped for.

World of Ukes is THE place to go to if you want good customer service, great communication with the store owner Matt, and fair prices. I've done business with World of Ukes several times. Eventhough I live in Denmark and it's a hassle to have things shipped overseas it's well worth it, if you value the customer experience you get from Matt. He is always ready to give advice and quick to follow up on mails. If something goes wrong he'll make sure to correct it. Allround great store.
