I ordered an 18-inch 24-karat gold box chain necklace, but the necklace I received measures shorter than advertised. The invoice clearly states 18 inches, so this was disappointing, especially since it was purchased as a gift.

I also had to pay $237.88 in duty/tax charges upon delivery, which added to the frustration given the item was incorrect.

That said, after I left my review, the company did reach out and has been communicating with me to investigate the issue. They requested measurement photos and have indicated they will assist once the length is confirmed, which I appreciate.

While I’m still waiting for a final resolution, I do want to acknowledge that their customer service has been responsive and appears willing to address the problem. I’ll update this review again once the matter is fully resolved.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to provide feedback. The anchor pendant is well made with attention to detail and quality. I shop with confidence and trust at 7879.

Beautifully made piece and good level of service and communications, though I would prefer someone at the end of the phone.

This is the only brand I trust to buy elite quality jewellery from, as well as it being an investment each piece is carefully crafted and looks beautiful, complimenting anything I wear. The information you receive on the history of the brand and their knowledge is clearly and concisely explained. You’re not just buying jewellery, you’re being educated on the complexity of the pieces you acquire. It’s truly an all round experience being a part of the 7879 family.

I would like to thank Anne for understanding my frustration. I was able to recover my refund. Although their jewelry was I thought would be a great investment, it didn’t work for me. The wait of just receiving a simple pair of bullion square earring was not worth waiting that long. I am only giving a 4 star because I received my money back after I decided and talk to Anne waiting that long of not receiving the order I made last November 2nd was not okay. Lesson learned. If it says pre-order, expect a very long wait, not 1-2 weeks it could be 2 months or even more. The update information you will receive will just disappoint you. Good luck to those who want to take the risk. Me, done deal, not coming back.

Arrived really quickly is excellent value for the weight and price.

Great service, was expected to recieve the order weeks after Christmas, but the item was expedited and arrived christmas eve without even asking. Looks great and the quality is apperant. Very happy with the purchase and the service. Much appreciated!

Stunning earrings! The craftsmanship on these star studs is flawless. Because they are 24 carat, the shine is incredible, and they don't irritate the skin. The packaging was also lovely. A perfect little luxury for everyday wear

The photos were misleading. I was disappointed in the actual look of the ring. Due to the highly polished mirrored surface scratches show very visibly.

The photos of what I ordered were confirmed to be of a different metal ( ordered silver and noticed the hallmarks showed platinum on the photos on the listing) it doesn't look overly polished on the listing and showed a matte like finish.

The response I received came across a little patronising.(Their response has now been amended but they mentioned how scratches add personality to the ring) I would rather have what was pictured then what I received that showed a matte like finish. I double checked the listing. It doesn't say that it's high polished anywhere. I don't respect liers.

I was offered a call from the CEO (which I declined as that wasn't for me) a refund (with return of ring) and discount on my next purchase. I wasn't told anything about a return fee when a return was offered. I was offered this fee waived (and the discount on my next purchase) if I removed or edited my review more favourably when they had received the ring. It seemed disingenuous to change the terms of the refund after they had the ring.
Highly polished was noted in one of the sub menus of the listing (under size and fit). Its like they were trying to hide this detail under a different category but claim it's "clearly stated". I'm still against this as the photo of the ring in the listing should match what you receive. I'm not able to verify that highly polished was noted on the listing at the time of order via the waybackmachine due to it being noted in a sub menu which doesn't load. I want to take their word for it but they've been somewhat flexible with the truth

Dealt with 2 representatives who were messaging me separately.

Initially I was refunded minus a £15 fee as I declined their new terms.
After thanking the second representative for their time and saying the £15 was charged and it was fine, this was refunded separately.

Ordered a platinum bracelet and the company failed to list on the order page properly that the bracelet is made to order so instead of being delivered within 1-2 weeks it would actually take 3-5 weeks. Which isn't ideal considering christmas is around the corner. Cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Won't be returning

Great company. Communication second to none. Even had the CEO reply to questions regarding the earrings I got. Would definitely recommend

Just placed another order of this absolutely amazing website. I have bought previously and the quality was just unbelievable. So much choice of beautiful jewellery, just spoilt, it’s hard to decide! I must just say, a shout out to Sach, the owner, he’s there to answer any questions you may have and advise, which he did for me, which made everything so much easier. Beautiful quality and great customer service. If only the US government stops with the tariff drama. It was a surprise to get an invoice from DHL for additional tariff shipping charges - and understandable to pass it along- but something to keep in mind for budgeting.

I have now 7 pieces of 24 carat gold from 7879 and I enjoy wearing them as much as I can. I have a bracelet being made to order which will match the necklace I have already purchased. The quality of the gold is 99% and I trust them completely. Their customer service is excellent. I recently had an issue because the bracelet was to be dispatched whilst I am away but contacting customer services the matter was swiftly resolved by Anne she helped resolve it to my satisfaction. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because of the wait for certain bespoke pieces to be created etc. I'm probably being mean on that issue because I'm impatient by nature. I certainly recommend 7879 for buying your gold jewellery thank you.

I purchased a platinum bracelet on 28 November giving over a month for delivery for my husband's Christmas present. On 29th November I followed up requesting confirmation of the delivery time since I didn't wish to take any chances. Got a response confirming they have allocated a pre-ordered bracelet to me and it will arrive in time for Christmas. Since I had heard nothing or received no shipping update I chased again on 10 December to request an update. I was then told my delivery will be be next month. I completely understand that things happen but had I not emailed to chase up when were they planning to contact me to tell me that the date of my delivery has changed! And why would they say they have a piece when they didn't! I had saved for this and now I have to wait for my own money to be returned before I can go out and buy my husband's Christmas present! It is really disappointing and I had plans to buy more from them but given this experience I am never ordering from them. I don't think they take into account that not everyone has a £1-£2k sat in their account surplus and they could have ruined my Christmas had I not been proactive about chasing things up!

Pricing is deceptive if you are not in the UK. I was charged an additional 28% upon delivery which was not disclosed at time of purchase. Their shipper was calling and texting me for days with what looked like scam messages until I finally spoke to them and the shipper and item was identified (details were not in any of the texts or emails asking for the additional tax). Yes I should have known from the news about tariffs, but it made the cost far more than the chain is worth, and should have been pointed out on the website for US buyers. I chose something small to try a platinum chain out with a beautiful platinum/diamond pendant I inherited, but the chain is so thin as to be barely visible on my neck and does not support the pendant properly. I also ordered 18” and it measures 17.5”. I will try again with a US supplier and go with a heavier chain style for the platinum chain I need. Glad I didn’t “invest” more with 7879 and made a small initial purchase.
