WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN

When I collected the car they charged me extra which was not applicable to my contract, I questioned it but I had to pay it, when I got home I asked the credit card company to question it and upon reviewing the facts the credit card company ( Not Auto Prudent) gave me my money back, I assume they did not pay Auto Prudent.
Also, the car had a chip on the window when I got it, one morning a few days later there was a crack in the window that was not there the last time I drove the car the morning before.
The integral structure of the window was already compromised and in conjunction with the 40 degree heat and the air condition a crack appered.
They charged me €799.00 to replace an already damaged window of a Fiat Panda.
I checked, and from what I could find the average price to replace a Fiat Panda window by a main dealer in the Algarve was €350.00, €250.00 at non main dealer.
You can draw your own conclusions from the above as to what kind of company they are.
I would never deal with them again.

Didn't need to worry!

After reading the reviews on here I was left 2nd guessing my decision to hire a car with this company after paying online. I didnt need to, everything was explained, all my questions answered and returning the car was very easy and simple. I received my deposit for the car back with no worries! Glad I went with this company rather than one of the bigger national companies.

A fuir

Grosse déception. Engagements non tenus. Prélèvement sur mon compte alors que la voiture a été rendue dans le même état que lors de la réception du véhicule. État validé par Auto Prudente puis décision contraire prise qqs jours après, sans aucune explication. Aucune discussion possible. Malgré toutes les photos prises. C'est juste du racket. A fuir...

Péssimo e não recomendo a ninguém

Péssimo e não recomendo a ninguém. Aquando do aluguer do veículo eles entregam o veiculo com o tanque a meio o que dificulta na entrega do mesmo nas mesmas condições. Além disso minha falta de informação e envio de documentação. Não recomendo.

I have used Auto Prudente Rent a Car…

I have used Auto Prudente Rent a Car three times now and they are excellent.
The cars are competitively priced and the reps are friendly and helpful.
I will use them again.
You pick the car up from the airport and drop it back there again -easy.

Je réitère mes dires de l’an dernier

Je réitère mes dires de l’an dernier. Ce sont simplement des voleurs. Lorsque tu te retrouves à sortir de l’avion avec enfants et bagages, tu te retrouves un couteau sous la gorge et donc tu n’as pas d’autres choix qu’exécuter la surfacturation qu’on t’impose. aller voir la concurrence, ce n’est pas ce qui manque sur place.

Good service, recommend

Have been travelling to Algarve for the last 6 years and have rented twice with Auto Prudente. Service was always good, friendly and helpful staff, cars were clean. I recommend this company, will book with them again.

A fuir ils ne sont pas honnêtes

a fuir nous avions pris par recommandation Carjet mais finalement nous avons du donner en plus du prix de départ 30€ pour remise du véhicule a l aeroport (ce n etait pas prévu) puis au retour nous avons fait un complément de carburant pour la mettre au presque plein comme indiqué lors de la remise et nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de découvrir une facturation de 43.14 a notre retour en France , motif complément de carburant + taxes suite a ma réclamation je reçu la photo du compteur carbu a la date de notre remise mais quand j ai demandé la même photo a la date ou nous l avions prise je n ai plus eu de réponse ils ont fait les morts
Et Carjet pas de suivi donc je ne les recommande pas non plus

Nous souhaitons toutefois préciser que l’ensemble des conditions de location, y compris les éventuels frais de livraison du véhicule à l’aéroport ainsi que la politique de carburant, sont clairement indiqués sur le site de notre partenaire CarJet au moment de la réservation, ainsi que dans le bon (voucher) envoyé par email après confirmation.

Ces informations font partie des conditions acceptées lors de la réservation.

Concernant le carburant, une inspection est systématiquement réalisée à la remise et au retour du véhicule afin de vérifier le niveau de carburant conformément aux conditions du contrat.

Nous restons disponibles pour analyser votre dossier si vous nous communiquez votre numéro de réservation.

Moyen

Avant de commencer, il s'agit d'une société sous-traitante et non pas celle avec qui j'ai réservé via Ryanair. C'était censé être AbbyCar, mais bref. La réservation était faite sur l'aéroport de Faro. La personne qui n'a pas de bureau physique a amené le véhicule un peu en retard à l'aéroport. Ensuite, lors de la signature du contrat, la personne nous annonce qu'il y a une taxe de roulage de quelques euros par jour EN PLUS DES FRAIS DE PEAGE. Ok pour les frais de péage vu que cela dépend de notre trajet, par contre la taxe de roulage aurait dû être incluse dans le prix de la location. Les dégâts de la voiture ne sont pas suffisamment actés sur le contrat initial.
Pour finir, cela fait plus de 3 semaines que je suis rentré de vacances et la caution (de 1800 euros tout de même) est toujours bloquée. Embêtant pour des achats à effectuer avec sa carte de crédit.
Point positif, le collaborateur parlait français.

Tout d’abord, nous souhaitons préciser qu’Auto Prudente est un partenaire local opérant les services de livraison et de prise en charge des véhicules à l’aéroport de Faro dans le cadre de réservations effectuées via différentes plateformes de réservation.

Concernant les frais mentionnés, tous les coûts applicables, y compris les éventuels frais de service locaux et les frais liés aux péages, sont clairement indiqués dans les conditions générales disponibles sur le site de réservation et acceptés au moment de la réservation. La taxe Via Verde est un service standard lié à l’utilisation des routes à péage électroniques au Portugal.

En ce qui concerne l’état du véhicule, celui-ci fait l’objet d’une inspection photographique complète lors du check-in et du check-out afin de garantir un enregistrement précis et transparent de son état.

Enfin, la caution correspond à une pré-autorisation bancaire. Le délai de libération dépend exclusivement de l’établissement bancaire du titulaire de la carte et non d’Auto Prudente. Une fois la clôture du contrat effectuée dans notre système, la demande de libération est automatiquement transmise.

Just to add to the growing list of unhappy clients of this company. DO NOT USE THEM. I've hired thousands of vehicles all over the world and, in my opinion, Auto Prudente are one of the worst.

SOCIÉTÉ A FUIR. Le retour du véhicule était prévue sur un parking de l’aéroport de Faro au Portugal à 9h30 sans presence d’un employé. Nous avons laissé le véhicule à l’heure avec la clé dans la boîte comme convenu. Un constat de retour sans problème nous a été adressé par mail à 11H38. A 14H nous avons reçu un mail nous indiquant un choc au niveau du pare brise avec une vidéo. Entre temps le vehicule avait été déplacé. Puis nous avons reçu un constat de retour modifié. Faute de photo lors du dépôt de retour au niveau du pare brise qui était intact, la société nous a facturé 136,58 € sans apporter la preuve de la réparation ni d’une facture externe à l’entreprise. Vu l’état du véhicule comportant de nombreux chocs et problèmes (voyant allumé constamment, réglage du siège conducteur bloqué) on peut penser qu’ils facturent sans réaliser de réparations. Mais modifier un état de retour 2h30 après le premier est scandaleux.

Dans votre cas spécifique, comme la réservation ne comprenait pas de couverture d’assurance avec Auto Prudente, tout dommage constaté pendant la période de location relève de la responsabilité du client, conformément aux conditions générales acceptées lors de la réservation.

You are charged extra for insurance when you pick up the card, they are rude and they never release the money blocked on the car

We would like to clarify that comprehensive insurance coverage is always optional and is not mandatory to rent a vehicle. The basic insurance included in all bookings follows the terms and conditions agreed with the booking partner through which the reservation was made.

Any additional coverage, such as full protection or excess reduction, is optional and can be chosen at the time of pick-up.

Regarding the security deposit, this is a standard procedure in the car rental industry and is only a temporary pre-authorisation on the credit card. The release of the blocked amount is handled by the bank of the cardholder and not directly by Auto Prudente, which means the timing may vary depending on the banking institution.

Faro aiport auto prudente - do not book

Travelling with our 18 month old we booked car hire at Faro airport through VIP cars. The on site meet & greet was (unbeknownst to us) with auto prudente. On arrival & after making enquiries they told us our booking was cancelled. We showed them all the emails from VIP cars up until the day prior to departure including a confirmation code & online check in. Despite this they rudely stated over & over we had cancelled, and it certainly wasn't their fault. We weren't saying it was their fault - with more than one company involved it's hard to place blame. But we had shown them clear evidence we hadn't cancelled, and were simply asking for their support in finding a solution. They are clearly paid to meet clients at the airport, and we were directed to the female manager working on the 7th September at midday & I was astounded by how rude & confrontational she was. Do not book with this company

However, please note that Auto Prudente operates strictly as a local partner providing meet & greet services for confirmed reservations. In this case, the booking status is managed directly through the booking platform you used, and any cancellation or confirmation issues must be verified through that provider.

Our team at the airport can only proceed with active and valid reservations in our system. When the booking is not visible or marked as cancelled by the system, we are unable to release a vehicle.

We always aim to assist customers in finding a solution where possible, but we are dependent on the booking information provided to us by the intermediary platform.
