Topsoil supplied for our garden project contained numerous shards of glass of different sizes and appears to have been contaminated. The soil was used in sleeper beds and spread across our lawn before grass seeding, resulting in established plants and trees dying and further costs to repair the damage.
I initially contacted AVS multiple times by email and received no response. After eventually managing to speak to someone by phone, I was then told they would not discuss the matter with me because I was not the original account holder and did not have authority.
The contractor who placed the order has now formally authorised AVS to deal with me directly, and I have since submitted a formal complaint requesting reimbursement for the losses caused by the contaminated soil.
Very poor customer service and extremely concerning quality control given that glass was present throughout soil supplied for a family garden.

I just wanted to write and say a huge thank you to the Henfield AVS team for your help and assistance with my recent orders.
Aside from the excellent customer service - always with a “smile” at the desk, to the on time deliveries, and great prices, everything went very smoothly.
Unfortunately today there are not many companies like yours now, that take the trouble to help their customers or appreciate their custom.

Ordered tongue & groove fence panels online which you could only order by height. When I fitted panels into 6ft posts they were too short. When I phoned to ask why I was told they buy in from Europe who’s panels are 1.8m not 1.83m If this was in the description online I would not have purchased them.
A one day job turned into a 2 day.
