Visited Edinburgh Hanover Restaurant twice last weekend. Was especially impressed by the friendly service and the helpful attitude of the staff, especially Fin (Finlay?). He went out of his way to make sure everything weas just right for us.
Food was good too.

I visited this restaurant with my child in Bluewater, having travelled quite far and being already tired after a long day. I am normally a very calm, polite and patient person, and I have never in my life been treated with such shocking rudeness, disrespect and cruelty as I was here today. We waited a very long time for our food, and when I simply asked for clarity or help, I was met with sharp, snappy, aggressive and unprofessional behaviour from the staff right from the start. I only raised my voice because I was spoken to like dirt and treated as if I was nothing, all while trying to care for my hungry young child.

I told the staff clearly not to speak to me in that way, but instead of apologising or listening, they spoke back rudely and actually told me to leave while my child still had not eaten. When I asked for the manager, I expected fairness or help, but she was even worse. She did not listen to my side, she completely backed her staff no matter how wrong they were, and she had the utter nerve and cruelty to take our food away from us and force us out. For a woman in a management role to act this way is beyond disappointing, and to treat a tired mother and a hungry child this way is heartless, shameful and completely inhumane.

What makes the truth undeniable is that two lovely women and a young girl were sitting right next to us and saw and heard every single thing that happened. They witnessed that I was calm, polite and reasonable until I was pushed too far, and that the staff were rude, sharp and aggressive from the very first word. They spoke directly to the staff and the female manager to condemn their behaviour, confirming I did nothing wrong and that the whole way I was treated was cruel and completely unjust. They were so appalled that they told them they would never return and would tell everyone exactly what they saw.

This place has absolutely no care for customers, no understanding of basic service, no kindness and no honour. If you are a family, a mother, or just a decent human being, please stay far away. You will not be treated with respect, you will not be heard, and you will be made to feel like you are the problem simply for being tired or asking questions. I will tell everyone I know exactly how we were treated, and I will never set foot here again. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.

The worst option I could choose is this restaurant, Bella Italia. To begin with, the two dishes we ordered arrived after 5 minutes; it was reheated food, even though it was supposed to be noodles. The most disgusting thing was finding a hair in my plate, and the manager just apologized and offered me a complimentary carton of apple juice. Did the manager even think he could have waived the charge for his terrible service? He charged us for everything. Furthermore, the place is not hygienic. It's truly a disappointment. I don't recommend this place; it's one of the worst in the UK.

Me and my boyfriend went here today for a meal and the food made both of us sick and they had order wrong multiple times for the price of the food it shouldn’t be making people throw up as it made us sick straight after eating it

Visited Bella Italia in centre Parcs Longleat & had a brilliant meal with fantastic service from Kayleigh . She was very attentive & helped us choose the best options - for such a young girl she is a credit to your company . Would definitely recommend to anyone - especially those with small children

I think each restaurant depends upon the staff - people are very important and if you want a great dining experience with tasty food, beautiful atmosphere and great old fashioned customer service go to Exeter Bella Italia. Been going for the last 3 years since my daughter has been at Uni and we love it. I love eating out in an environment which makes you happy. This is truly a happy, tasty and fun place to eat and it’s all attributable to the staff. Go & Enjoy

A great meal I had with my family topped with a brilliant desert. It is suitable for all ages especially kids. The only thing is the food took a while to come but that might be because we had a semi-large order. Bella Italia is a must go to restaurant.

Was informed 'it might take a minute' to get to you, fair enough however, prob half an hour later for taking the order, 20 mins for starter and another half hour for mains. I'd guess at not enough staff however, easily could have said, thanks for waiting/mega busy etc when passing or indeed a free soft drink perhaps ? No interaction at all. Food was just ok tbh. Basildon.

Abysmally slow service, poor quality food - mains and desserts - they couldn't even get the drinks order right.
Go elsewhere! And, this is being kind as they were not busy with plenty of staff on duty.

Went to Bella last Saturday (the one on Wellington Street) and was pleased with the service. Food for all tastes which is probably my favourite part about the restaurant. Food was nice quality and made for a lovely evening.

Went for a meal with the family and found that the food was average however staff were lovely. Range of food on menu was ok but could do with more variety of sweet for after main meals

Visited Bella Italia with my family. I ordered a vegetarian meal and the restaurant served meat. I was aware after the first bite and notified staff. When I asked ‘I ordered the vegetarian option’ the response was ‘well that’s beef’

I wasn’t offered what I originally ordered , I didn’t even receive an apology but I also didn’t eat the meal (or anything for that matter) and had to pay for it. Naturally I wanted to contact them regarding this issue and I tried emailing - never got a response only to go back into the restaurant and speak with them. I also contacted their social media pages to have the same response

Mk1 stadium and 12th street Milton Keynes it’s about time they shut down as you can not run a restaurant on the level of rubbish food. Both these places are back especially MK1 stadium we both sent food back and both didn’t feel well after. The food was that poor we both left the restaurant hungry and eaten in the cinema. They call themselves Bella Italia but have they been to Italy? Let alone try to cook Italian food, it’s a real shame because then people believe this is what Italian food is like when it’s nothing like the rubbish they sell

Excellent in every well. Siggy our server was so helpful and accommodating , it is fantastic that Inverness has an Italian restaurant with this level of great service and lovely food .We will definately be coming back

The restaurant is consistently good, the staff, especially Richard, are warm and friendly. They are very clued up on their menu and will 'Tweak' the dishes to your preference. The food is good and hot, never lukewarm like some. I really do love this place and it is my go to when we are in town.

Went to Burton-on-Trent branch today.
My partner had a cheese burger and chips,
he was happy with his meal. However I ordered mushroom risotto, not pleased at all, scimped on the mushrooms and the risotto was awful stodgy with no taste. Including salad and 2 drinks cost us nearly £50.

Some other reviewers have referenced unhappy staff at various Bella Italias but we found the manager at the one in South Kensington London just about the friendliest and happiest person you could wish to have serve you your food etc. I think his name was Alessandro (he definitely came from Napoli). The food was really good (4 stars) but the service was 6 stars (out of five) !

4 of us had a meal on a Monday evening. I ordered an Ultimate Calzone. It look unlike any Calzone I'd ever seen before. It was badly cooked and tasted terrible. The 3 pasta dishes were OK, although no effort was made with presentation. The Lasagne was a trivet of lasagne with no accompaniments, and the Spaghetti was just that - a pile of spaghetti dumped on top of the some meatballs. At least the pasta was edible. Foolishly, I did eat the Calzone which was virtually inedible, but it did take me 2 or 3 days to recover.
