This is a message to everyone worrying that this company is a scam. The owner explained to me that there are many changes happening in the company, as well as a high increase in orders that they are working very hard to manage. He has been very transparent with me during this process, and I would like everyone who is concerned to know that you WILL receive your rug and this is not a scam!!! He may not be able to respond to everyone right now, so I hope you see this message so you know what's going on. Please give the owner the benefit of the doubt and have trust in him. They are not ignoring you, they just have a lot to manage right now. These rugs do take a long time to produce, so we have to be aware of that. This quality of rug for the price will not be found anywhere else, so I don't mind waiting a bit longer!

An update. After posting the review, I received an email with the tracking number. Now I’m waiting for the rug to arrive. I hope it will be as I ordered, and if everything goes well, I will update my review with a higher rating.
I ordered the rug almost a month ago. When I placed the order, the staff responded within minutes. However, after waiting for nearly a month with no update, I reached out to ask about the shipping. Just like many others have mentioned in their Trustpilot reviews, there has been no response — not via chat, Facebook, or email. At this point, it feels like a scam. I recommend avoiding this company.

They will not respond to emails
I ordered 3 1/2 weeks ago, so I am still inside their stated delivery window. But it’s said “Preparing for Shipment” for two weeks. To me that indicates it’s supposedly being shipped. But they will not provide tracking information. They don’t respond to emails *at all*. It’s starting to feel like a scam. I don’t mind waiting, but the lack of response has me very suspicious. I ordered another Berber rug from a different site at the same time, and it arrived 10 days ago.

I understand your concern. Our rugs are handmade to order, and production typically takes 3–5 weeks before shipping. “Preparing for Shipment” means your rug has been in the final stages of being made and packaged, but not yet handed to the courier. You’ll receive tracking details very soon.
We’re a small artisan team and sometimes slower to reply than we’d like, but we’re here and committed to delivering your rug as promised.
Just as a note — the time to make a rug can vary depending on its size and the knot density. For example, an 8x8 ft rug can sometimes be completed in 2 weeks, while another of the same size might take 5 weeks if it has a higher number of knots per square foot. This higher knot density directly impacts the craftsmanship and quality of the final piece.

Update to my previous comment: After I reported this comment on trustpilot they eventually sent my item. Not good quality at all and I am pretty sure I only received it because I commented here. Anyway, the website was not working for checking delivery status and no one ever replied to email inquiries. They have a website chat function that also didn't work properly.
My earlier comment (after waiting maybe 2 months for my delivery and having 0 responses to any emails or other means of contact): Seems to be a scam site, item not delivered and no responses to emails following up on the item.

Unethical customer service
This company sent my order with a missing item. After 10 or so unanswered emails, trying to communicate via FB and also via the online enquiry form - the company have blocked me from contacting them. All I ever wanted was my missing item, that's all. I am in disbelief a company would treat a customer this way.

I ordered £243 rug that they said was made handmade, I need to pay extra £27 to Fedex for tax & duties (they never inform me this duties & tax that I need to pay from my end).
And when the rug is arrived, it is very thin & small. It is more than 15cm shorter than what I ordered. I bought my old rug £160 from rugseller and it is way more beautiful and thicker than the one this merchant sent me!

We clearly state at checkout and in our shipping policy that international customers may be responsible for local duties and taxes. This is standard for all imports, not unique to our shop.
• Rug Thickness & Size:
Our rugs are handmade, which means small variations in size and thickness can happen. However, a difference of more than 15cm is not normal. If your rug is truly that much shorter, please send us a photo with measurements to contact@berberhandicraft.com . We’ll investigate and make it right.
• Comparisons:
We can’t speak for other sellers, but our pricing reflects the use of premium wool and ethical artisan work—never mass-produced or machine-made.
