I have been bringing my children here…
I have been bringing my children here for a few years now, starting with the eldest and then gradually adding their siblings. They have excelled so much and love coming to their swimming lessons every week. Friends have even moved their children from more expensive classes after hearing how quickly my children have progressed and are equally as pleased with the progress.
Wendy is brilliant and always helps and finds a way to accommodate any changes I have requested and the instructors are great with all the kids.
We've also tried the crash courses in the holidays before and they are fantastic. Really helped with my daughter when she started as she was a little afraid of the water.
Would highly recommend!

I highly recommend the swimming lessons…
I highly recommend the swimming lessons here as the staff are so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and caring. My child has been coming for a few years and has always enjoyed lessons and liked his instructors. I had tried other swimming venues but for value for money and staff professionalism I believe this can’t be beaten. Whenever I’ve had a question it has been answered quickly and thoroughly. The staff really do care about each child’s progression. The lessons are fun and engaging. My child needed extra support due to SEN needs and I couldn’t of asked for more compassion and understanding, we have even arranged 1:1 lessons with the wonderful Jo and it has really helped him turn a corner and be able to continue in the group classes. The fact the lessons happen throughout the year and not just term time is fantastic. We’ve tried the extra sessions during school hols and these are also well worth the money.
A huge thank you to the whole swim team for making my child feel confident in the water and love his lessons, you all deserve recognition for the work you do.

Such a great team
We have been using the swim school for a number of years and cannot praise the staff enough. They are kind and encouraging and have been fundamental in teaching my two children first of all to gain confidence in the water and thereafter to teach them to swim. The children love their coaches and develop good relationships and understanding with them. When either of my two have been close to going up a level, they have been given a little extra one on one coaching time to work on the skills they need or had taster sessions in the higher group to really help push them on. But above all, the lessons are engaging and fun whilst also being educational, with the instructors trying to introduce new games and activities to keep lessons fresh rather than mundane. If I have ever had a query about how I can help either of my two to improve, I have had a brief chat with one of the instructors at the end of the lesson which had helped us to focus on what we can do as a family when we do swimming outside of lessons to improve their skills. The swim school is a fantastic part of Hillingdon Leisure Centre and the staff should all be praised for the wonderful job they do and with a smile. Special mentions to the wonderful Wendy, Matthew and Emily who have been fundamental in my two achieving tbeir milestones.

I’m very disappointed with the kids’…
I’m very disappointed with the kids’ swimming lessons at Hillingdon Leisure Centre. The teachers don’t seem to have enough experience or enthusiasm for what they’re doing, which shows in how they interact with the kids. My child, along with others, has made very little progress despite attending for some time.
The lessons lack proper guidance and energy, which is frustrating as a parent who wants their child to enjoy and learn. I hope the management takes steps to improve the quality of teaching, as this experience has been far below expectations.

Improvements needed in Swimming classes
I have noticed that though the kids [including my kid] are progressing well, the focus seems to shift primarily to new joiners, leaving little room for continued improvement for those already doing well. The teaching approach could be more balanced to cater to all levels. I hope the center can adjust to ensure better progression for everyone.

Pleasant guy did my health application
Pleasant guy did my health application, I was a bit nervous, asked if someone could show me around gym and if someone could do induction in use of equipment as I am new to gyms and elderly, he did show me where gym was but not how to use the equipment I was left to fathom it out myself, other than that all staff encountered so far have been very helpful.

Good and bad
I am trying to book 10 swimming lessons (121)from 2-5pm,no answer.PLEASE DO IT I don’t like dressing code in sauna,people coming in train suits and shouting. In general,leisure centre is very good,gym,swimming pool,sauna and steam room,staff is very polite.

Bit confusing as first time visiting
Bit confusing as first time visiting. Wasn’t sure where some things were. Did speak to someone but didn’t speak a lot of English. But managed to find the hair dryers with her help. Also not sure where the sauna and steam rooms were.

I have send my 2 children for swimming…
I have send my 2 children for swimming lessons, the swimming pool is got very limited space, at the beginning there were 7 children assigned to lessons. Looks very challenging for them to swim as already crowded unfortunately after few weeks there is more children assigned now 9. Hardly any learning constant warm ups as not space for them to swim. Not really happy

Gym is good, staff knowledge is not!
The gym itself is great but we’re being charged full non-resident prices to use the gym rather than getting 30% off on junior flex membership . It would’ve cost less without any membership!
Staff in the reception had very little knowledge and gave us incorrect information about the pricing!
