Lovely local gym
Plumstead leisure centre is a small local leisure centre located in a restored historic building. It has a few exercise studios, all are clean, light and spacious, a small gym which is ok but has no stretching area. There's also a lovely, well managed library. Some of the instructors are brilliant; Pauline runs excellent dance classes and is very friendly and welcoming, Renata runs very precise Pilates classes and is clearly very knowledgeable and Hugo does a very good circuit. Lawrence provided a good induction to the gym equipment. Overall, a very good gym and very happy to have joined.

It’s a nice Centre but it wasn’t…
It’s a nice Centre but it wasn’t manned, at least the day I went there for the first time. I struggled to access the gym. Someone came to my rescue eventually. The cafeteria was closed, couldn’t buy water. I don’t see the point of having a nice facility like that and no one around to ask questions or to attend to you.

I am very sorry to hear that there was no staff present when you attended the Plumstead leisure centre recently. The centre would have staff available at all times due to Health & Safety, however they may have been in another location when you came in. The Café at the Plumstead leisure centre is currently closed so please ensure you bring your drink with you when attending the centre.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused when you attended the centre. We hope you can continue to enjoy your membership at this centre going forward.

The staff should be checking equipment/cleaning products regularly, but if you see something has run out, please report this to the concierge team at reception so they can replenish anything which may have run out.
