Delighted!
We bought a used car from Ash Cars in St Ives, which came with a 6 months warranty with Bluechip. This gave us some reassurance but were a little skeptical about whether it would deliver if needed. In fact we’ve submitted 3 claims, all of which were dealt with straight away. Only one wasn’t met because the component wasn’t covered by the warranty … but a new clutch and four new tyre sensors have been replaced! We’ve been surprised and delighted and would happily recommend Bluechip - and feel reassured if we had another of their warranties in the future.

Whats the point of this warranty if you continuously find a clause for everything on the the policy i have submitted claims and been knocked back most recent is a battery claim you got back to me saying it is covered but unfortunately I have gone over the 3 months period from when I took cover out if you say its covered you should honor it the policy is still running i would not buy this policy again it should have been called the warranty of clauses absolute joke of a company stay away and save you money

We sincerely apologise for your dissatisfaction with our service.
After reviewing your claims, I can confirm that, based on the information provided by your chosen repairer, and the policy duration, the outcome of your two claims have been correct.
The first claim you submitted was for the replacement of various gaskets and seals.
These, unfortunately are not covered components under the Vehicle Repair Agreement therefore do not fall within our liability.
The most recent contact we have had from you today, you advised you required a replacement battery.
As advised, and stated within the Vehicle Repair Agreement booklet, the battery cover is limited to the first three months of the policy duration. This information was provided to you at the time of your policy going live within your policy documents.
We are now nearly 11 months into your policy, therefore unfortunately this time period has expired.
We are unable to honour / cover claims for components which do not fall within the parameters of this agreement.
As a company, we do not guarantee coverage for all types of failures or vehicle components. This agreement covers a sudden and unforeseen mechanical or electrical failure to a covered component as detailed in the Vehicle Repair Agreement Booklet and as specified in the level of cover indicated on the owner’s certificate.
We recommend that you read the terms of this agreement thoroughly to familiarise yourself with its features, benefits, definitions, exclusions, and customer requirements.
We apologise, but we are unable to assist you on this occasion.

Bluechip warranty came with a used car…
Bluechip warranty came with a used car purchase. The warranty was only for six months and during this period I made 2 claims which were dealt with promptly and professionally. I can not fault their service.

Dont hold alot of hope with warranty’s, but bluechip completely different, i had an electrical problem with car i bought, booked it in with my usual garage, sent diagnostics to bluechip, repair approved within a couple of hours then payment approved and credited to my bank account the next day!
Just ensure you read all the requirements for approval

Bought this “warranty” thinking it…
Bought this “warranty” thinking it would cover me. Kept up with all the regular services and maintenance etc. I was surprised when I found out the one part that failed somehow isn’t covered. Can’t get a refund for the warranty funnily enough. Would have been more cost effective to have not spent the 1k on the warranty in the first place.
Let my experience be a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of making the same mistake as I did.
Edit, the fan belt was replaced along with the timing belt, water pump and any other components related to a timing belt change this time last year. Fan belt tensioner and clutch looked in good condition otherwise they would have been changed at the time. So yes it has been maintained. So when exactly should these components undergo maintenance? Weekly, monthly, yearly?
Funny how your reply to this review was more in-depth than the email you sent informing me that my works were declined.
Edit, it was the aux belt tensioner that caused the aux belt to fail. It’s becoming abundantly clear you do not understand what you are replying to as your only response is that the belt isn’t covered but nothing regarding the tensioner.

The auxiliary/fan belt is not listed as a covered component under the terms of the agreement.
This repair agreement does not cover serviceable items or components that require periodic replacement or maintenance. Additionally, general maintenance procedures and adjustments are also excluded from this repair agreement. i.e., those items that would normally be maintained, replaced or adjusted during the routine scheduled servicing of the vehicle. The following is an example list, but not a definitive list: brake pads and shoes, brake discs and drums, drive belts, all types of filters, oils, brake fluid, antifreeze, screen wash, wiper blades, and bulbs.
The auxiliary (or serpentine) belt is part of the general maintenance of the vehicle. Regular inspections of the vehicle and drive belts, as well as replacements, are advised to prevent potential problems and ensure optimal vehicle performance, as indicated within the manufacturer’s recommendations and procedures.
As a company, we do not guarantee coverage for all types of failures or vehicle components. I have always been a bit sceptical of…
I have always been a bit sceptical of these types of warranties, and whether they will pay out. I need not of been concerned with Bluechip.
I purchased an extended warranty off the dealer I purchased a secondhand Mercedes from last year. At this year's MOT it passed but with a requirement to replace an anti roll bar link. From the initial contact, through to payment the level of customer service and speed that the claim was handled was exceptional. Would definitely use Bluechip again.
