We're really pleased that we were able to turn things around and that your bath arrived safely on the Tuesday as promised. We're sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, the name on this review does not match any of our current outstanding orders, and as no order number has been provided, we're unable to identify your purchase or investigate the issue.

We take customer service seriously. All emails receive an automatic acknowledgement, and we aim to respond to all emails within 48 hours, only very occasionally taking up to 72 hours during particularly busy periods. Messages submitted through our online contact form are responded to within 24 hours. As a very small team, our phone lines can be busy at times, and we appreciate your patience if we're unable to answer immediately.

Please either contact us directly with your order number or update your review to include it, and we'll investigate your order as a priority and provide you with an update straight away.

We're sorry that you were unhappy with your experience and appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Having reviewed your order, we can confirm that the items ordered were handmade Shaws of Darwen sinks, which unfortunately became subject to a manufacturer back order. During the waiting period, we made attempts on two occasions to contact you and advise you of the revised lead time.

We did not receive any request to cancel the order via email, our online contact form, telephone, or through our formal withdrawal process before the goods were dispatched. The first indication that you no longer wished to proceed was when the courier advised that delivery had been refused.

With regard to the recorded delivery letters, whilst we appreciate the effort made, we are unable to accept letters as an official method of cancelling an order or making amendments. For security reasons, we cannot verify that correspondence received by post has genuinely come from the purchaser, which is why we ask customers to contact us using the email address or telephone number associated with their order.

As these are handmade Shaws of Darwen sinks, we always recommend customers contact us before placing an order if their delivery date is critical. While we do hold stock of many models, if a particular model has recently sold out there can occasionally be a 2–4 week manufacturer lead time while new stock is produced.

Having reviewed the order, I do feel there were some significant crossed wires throughout the process, which ultimately led to frustration on both sides. Whilst we fully accept the disappointment caused by the delay, we believe the matter could have been resolved much sooner had we been able to establish direct contact before the goods were dispatched.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and wish you all the best with your kitchen project.

We're sorry you feel this way.

We completely accept that your order was delayed and, as you acknowledge, this was due to a manufacturer delay rather than anything within our control. We do, however, apologise that our communication did not meet your expectations.

We are a small independent business and respond to enquiries in date order, with our current response target clearly communicated in our automatic email acknowledgement. Whilst we appreciate waiting for updates can be frustrating, we always aim to provide the most accurate information available from our suppliers. Unfortunately, manufacturer ETAs can change without notice, meaning an expected delivery date may subsequently move.

We would also like to correct one point in your review. British Bathroom Company is not a new business or a rebrand created to avoid previous reviews. www.britishbathroomcompany.co.uk has operated alongside our original website for many years. We ran both websites simultaneously until 2024, when we chose to retire the Bradford Bathroom Company website and continue trading through British Bathroom Company. The business, company, premises and team have remained exactly the same throughout.

Thank you for your review and for recognising both the quality of the product and our pricing.

We work hard to offer Rangemaster products at competitive prices, often significantly below the manufacturer's recommended retail price, so we're pleased this represented good value for you.

We are sorry, however, that the delivery and communication did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Unfortunately, your order was delayed before dispatch, and whilst we did our best to relay the latest information available from the warehouse, those updates ultimately proved inaccurate. We appreciate how frustrating this was, particularly as you had to contact us for updates, and we sincerely apologise for that.

Tracking information is only available once an order has physically been collected by the courier, which is why it was only issued shortly before delivery.

We are naturally disappointed to read your comments regarding our telephone manner, as we always strive to be courteous and helpful, even when having to relay disappointing news outside of our control. Whilst we appreciate that perceptions can differ, it was certainly never our intention to appear abrupt or disinterested, and we are sorry if our conversation came across that way.
