I love visiting Woods in Berkhamsted. The staff ( particularly John and Darren) are so helpful and are always willing to spend time advising customers, and answering questions. It’s very clear how much they care about the plants and keeping them healthy and looking their best. My reason for 4 not 5 stars are your prices, which are in general significantly higher than other garden centres in the area. Your service however is second to none.

Love this company! I have used them for 4 years now, all the staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the plants are always healthy and thrive. You pay between 5-15% more than buying off the internet but for the help you get is awesome. I also get a nice warm glow supporting real businesses with real people in it rather than the faceless monsters behind Amazon!

Oh yes, and they have a lovely cafe with delicious teas and homemade cakes :-)

Searching for a particular type of eucalyptus tree for a friend, (I had no idea how many there were!), the team at Capital Gardens have been tremendously helpful is helping me to identify and source the particular variety she wanted, known only by her as a 'blue eucalyptus'. I really appreciate your help, in particular in liaising with other nurseries to bring specimens for me to select from.

Spent £80 on a big 'frost-free' terracotta pot which then cracked 2 winters later. Despite being a loyal, regular customer since I moved to Berkhamsted 20 years ago, they refused to replace it as I hadn't raised it on 'legs.' Very disappointing as nowhere was this stated as a requirement on any of the labelling. I rarely shop there now.

Excellent service - staff are prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure you find the product you are looking for and to ensure they provide ‘above and beyond’ customer service.
