We are back from 7 days, two cities tour. It was a Great tour , great experience .
Our travel adviser, Vanessa is wonderful. She is patient and responsive at anytime within moment.
Vanessa has, previously, arranged multiple trips for us. I had recommend her to several of my friends.

We have just returned from a fabulous fun packed 14-day Shanghai-Xi’an-Beijing tour in China. Our group consisted of 7 from the United States. Three visited for the first time other four been to China for more than one time.
Our tour organizer, Vanessa Zheng was very patient and nice. She was able to accommodate every one of requests and fit nicely into our very busy, well-balanced 14-day program.
Our tour guides, Kenny in Shanghai, Crystal in Xi’an and Mark were very caring, very knowledgeable and experienced. Especially Crystal who cared for my wife (recovering from hip replacement surgery) liked a member of her family.
The Legend of Camel Bell Show, Tang Dynasty Show in Xi’an and the Yuxiandu Royal Cuisine Museum Show in Beijing were fabulous!!

Eric led us to visit Dujiangyan Panda Base and Dujiangyan Panda Valley in one day trip. With combine visiting these two panda camps, we can spend time with our own pace to observe the giant panda and red panda without flighting with huge crowd. Again we thank Eric to make our dreams fulfilled.

I had such a great day with Lee! He was my guide for the Panda Base tour in Chengdu and made the whole experience even more special. Super friendly, funny, and full of interesting stories about the pandas and local life. He also helped me take some amazing photos and gave great tips for places to eat afterward.
If you’re visiting Chengdu, definitely ask for Lee — he’s one of those guides who truly loves what he does and makes you feel like you’re exploring with a friend.

We had a great experience using the services of China Highlights during our recent holiday. Annie organised all our train tickets and kept us up to date with all the arrangements. Despite it being Golden Week, a very busy national holiday period, she managed to secure us tickets for all the journeys we wanted to take. She also organised a day trip from Datong for us with a wonderful and knowledgeable guide, Rita. I would definitely recommend China Highlights to others.

We had a wonderful tour in Chengdu with our guide Eric. He did provide us a exellent service. He knew everything about Chengdu, the Panda Breeding Base and every question we had. He speaks perfect english and is a great person with a warm kind. Thank you very much. Mr Ren, the driver was great as well.

Our holiday was well planned and smooth. China Highlights delivered splendidly for us. The guides and drivers were all very polite, helpful and assuring. We enjoyed our holiday with a strong peace of mind, knowing that we were in good hands.

Our family of four adults recently returned from a fantastic 7-day private tour of the Hunan province in China, organized by China Highlights Travel and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.

From the very beginning, our travel consultant Vanessa demonstrated excellent communication skills. She listened carefully to our preferences regarding hotel standards and the specific sights we wanted to include. Vanessa created a thoughtful and seamless itinerary that included breathtaking locations such as Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and the stunning ancient towns of Furong and Fenghuang. Every detail was handled professionally and efficiently, which gave us complete peace of mind.

Our private tour began with an airport pickup and continued flawlessly for the next seven days. We traveled in a spacious, comfortable high-top van with Mr. Wu, our driver, who was not only skilled but also exceptionally safe and reliable.

The true highlight of our trip, however, was our tour guide, David. David was simply outstanding in every way. He was deeply knowledgeable about Chinese history, local culture, and folklore, and he enriched our experience with stories and insights at every destination. His command of English was flawless, and he was incredibly accommodating, always willing to adjust plans to suit our interests or pace.

David consistently went above and beyond what was expected to ensure that our family had a truly unforgettable vacation. His passion for his work and genuine care for our comfort and enjoyment were evident in everything he did. Thanks to him, we not only saw the sights but truly experienced the culture and spirit of Hunan.

We highly recommend David, Mr. Wu and Vanessa at China Highlights to anyone planning a trip to China. This was a beautifully organized and personally meaningful journey that exceeded all our expectations.

Libby is a very professional guide, kind, patient and available. Her knowledge of local history and culture is very wide. Her English is very proficient! Moreover, she is a really pleasant person to speak to. The visit of Leshan Buddha was astonishing. We would recommend Libby to anyone travelling in Chengdu Area

Awesome and Reliable Travel Partner.
I approached China highlights for my 7 day visit to Guilin and Yangshuo, right from Day 1 of enquiry , be it train booking or itinerary modification, the support from them is awesome. They ensure they arranged me a good english speaking guide and Gary was the one who takes care of me and my entire family all the seven days. He received me from the Train Station and he ensured he is there until i board back the train safely. He ensured we are happy each and every minute of this vacation.

We visited Chengdu for a couple of days with a great guide, Eric. He is passionate about his job and very competent, he told us a lot about things visited and about China in general. He speaks perfect English so we have learnt a lot about China during these 2 days. In order to avoid long cues for visiting Pandas, we chose a smaller enclosure even if a bit more far away, we got there by 9am, short cue and in time for us to see them eating (when it’s hotter they sleep). Thanks a lot! We will recommend you to our friends!

Unforgettable Days in Lijiang

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Jack from China Highlights, and I honestly do not know how we would have done it without him! From the moment we met, Jack took care of everything – from hotel check-in assistance, arranging oxygen tanks for the altitude, securing show tickets, to guiding us seamlessly through all our adventures.

He took us through the charming lanes of Lijiang and several ancient towns just outside the city, sharing stories, culture, and little-known facts that made the history come alive. His knowledge, warmth, and patience were next-level.

The highlight (quite literally!) was our trip up Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Jack made sure we were well-prepared and safe every step of the way. He guided us to Spruce Meadow, through the Blue Moon Valley, and helped us take in every bit without feeling rushed. We felt so well looked after the whole time.

Jack was not just a guide – he was like a trusted travel buddy who genuinely cared about making our day special. If you are booking a trip in the Lijiang area, ask for Jack. You will be in the best hands!

Two-week trip through China
We have planned a two-week trip through China, visiting the cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Chongqing and took a three-day river cruise on the Yangtze to the Three Gorges Dam. Vanessa Zheng was my contact and was great at accommodating our wishes, both during the preparation and while we were on the trip, should we want to make any adjustments. Everything went perfectly during the trip. The booked hotels met our expectations, the transfers, high-speed tickets and excursion tickets were organised. The German-speaking guides, Walter in Beijing, Lusia in Xi'an, Axel in Chengdu and Chili in Chongqing were excellent. They knew a lot about the respective sights and provided us with many other useful pieces of information for our stay and personal explorations. Moreover, they gave us an insight into everyday life in this impressive country full of contrasts. I can highly recommend China Travel and I sincerely thank Vanessa and all the guides for making our stay in China so pleasant, interesting and unforgettable.

China highlights arranged the weekend trip to Hangzhuo for us. Our tour guide, Eleven picked us up from the train station and guided us throughout the day, making it seem like travelling with a friend. Eleven was friendly and thoughtful and the driver knows his way around the place, making the trip enjoyable and relaxing.
