Evan was a great tour guide - knowledgeable, pleasant, accommodating and spoke excellent English. Mr He was our driver and he was punctual and his car was clean and efficient. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Chengdu.

Our guide, Lee was fantastic. We were only in Chengdu for a short time and it was our last stop in China. Lee’s passion for city was infectious and it has me wanting to go back to see more.

He had great suggestions for how to spend our free time and great restaurant recommendations.

He’s a great guide and very passionate about what he does.

We recently spent 3 days in Beijing. After being a bit sceptical because I did not know China Highlights we have booked two day trips, one to the Forbidden City and the other to the Great Wall and Temple of haven, and a train ticket on the high speed train from Beijing to Shanghai with. The service during the booking was extremely professional and informative. Vivi always replied instantly and was very open to individual requests.
Our tour guide Jessica met at on time at our hotel. She was extremely friendly, kind, intelligent and knew a lot about Chinese history. We througoughly enjoyed both day trips to the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Thanks to the professional planning of China Highlights and the knowledge and experience of our lovely Guide Jessica we were able to discover so many things within a short amount of time. Everything worked out perfectly and the tours did not feel stressful at all because it was so well organized. We also stopped for lunch twice at local restaurants, and the food Jessica has recommended was absolutely delicious. I can not thank Jessica and driver enough for everything!
We have received the train tickets via E-Mail and everything worked out smoothly at the station. There was no need to get physical tickets, we were able to board the train with the tickets China Highlights have provided.

We had wonderful family trip to Shanghai, Guilin, Chengdu and Beijing for 12 days. Arrangements of Car and guides were excellent. They gave us plenty of time for sightseeing and suggested us proper spots for perfect photos. I asked for 'rickshaw to experience the Hutongs' but it was not included and many times I Vanessa for any additional sights as per her experience but she never replied or made any suggestions on that. She just followed the Itinerary I gave.

Vanessa arranged a trip for our family of 7 to Zhangjiajie, Hunan, and Chengdu, Sichuan. I couldn’t be happier with their service. They arranged comfortable transportation, good hotels, and knowledgeable guides that catered perfectly to our family’s needs, including a 5-month-old baby. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making our trip smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend China Travel for families looking for a hassle-free travel experience!

My experience was great from the get go! I have to say it all started for me when I enlisted in China Travel, particularly being connected with my contact Vanessa Zhang. I was very impressed with her professionalism through and through.

When I was doing my research to visit China, I checked several companies at the same time. Everybody wanted to sell their fixed tour trips in the Triangle Beijing-Xi'an-Shanghai and places in between, but I had particular route of museums and cities that off the normal touristic paths and most companies openly told me that they did not serve those places. Three companies were willing to take to the places that I wanted. In the end I decided to choose China Travel because the person who responded my emails (Sally Guo) was knowledgeable about the historically oriented subject matter that was driving my visit to China. Sally created quickly an itinerary for one full month in China visiting places that were important for me, but not for the bulk of tourists. The price of the tour was also competitive compared with other companies. Overall, I fulfilled the goals of my trip, that included always a car with a driver, a guide, transportation and hotels. I had a good time and whenever something unexpected happened, the local guides, Sally and the company responded quickly and found a quick and satisfactory solution. I will keep using the services of this company if future visits to China.

Annie from China Highlights booked all 7 of our High-Speed train tickets for our trip to Southern China, as well as arranged for a driver and car for us whenever and wherever we needed. We started in Hong Kong, then went on to Guilin, Tongren (actually stayed in Jiangkou), and Kunming. From Kunming we took the High-Speed international train to Luang Prabang. Without Annie's faultless logistical help, we would not have been able to see and do so much in such a short period of time; not only was she always available via WhatsApp to help us out in tricky situations, but she was also always very polite and friendly (and professional!) at all times. We had such an amazing time that we would not hesitate to turn to China Highlights again for our next trip to China!

My wife and I just returned from our trip to China and Tibet, and are reflecting on some of our wonderful memories. In large part, I attribute the success of this trip to China Travel and the special talents of Ms. Sally Guo.

Several years ago, I contacted China Travel about visiting China and Tibet, especially to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp. Sally responded then and has since been extraordinarily helpful with advice on when to go (China was closed because of Covid, and later, Tibet permits were not available), what to see, as well as information on the logistics for various options if we were to bring some of our family. I had additional questions because of the cold and difficult weather at Base Camp in the Himalayas.

I wish to commend Sally for her patience and accuracy in responding to our many, many questions!

Further, as our planning advanced, we felt comfortable with the quality of the guidance and information we were receiving from her, and were surprised to learn later that she had never even been to Tibet! She was obviously thorough in doing her research and homework.

Finally, we were given expert support at the last minute. When a question arose late on one day about our lodging for the next day, we contacted Sally well after normal business hours. She responded that night, and the question was addressed early the next morning! Such responsive, comforting support!

In conclusion, China Travel has been so capable and helpful in organizing a fairly complex trip that, from our perspective, came off so successfully that we were able to not only enjoy the planning, but to also enjoy a unique trip to a beautiful part of the world. In particular, we commend Sally for her knowledge, expertise, professionalism, persistence and responsiveness.

Thank you, Vanessa for organizing a wonderful and stress-free trip. We started in Beijing, Xian, Zhangjiajie, Guilin-Yangshuo and ended in Foshan - 11 days! There was no way we would have done it without your expertise, prompt responses to our queries and necessary changes. We learnt a lot about the Chinese culture, loved the spectacular scenery and tried different local cuisines. Thank you to the local drivers and experienced guides Nancy, Crystal, Lee & Yang, all so friendly, informative and ensuring that we stayed on track.

China Highlights is a reliable company and the co-ordination with each destination from Beijing to Zhanjiajie ( in between Xian, Chengdu, Guiyang) was smooth and guides can speak English. Thanks to Vivi in the email chats who help to connect and plan our trip.
Xian’s guide Jerry is helpful but suggest history telling to limit to just about the place of visit so we can associate with the artifacts and displays and not on the general history like how Buddhism come about. We did not manage to go up Fanjing peak, if we can reach before lunch time or spend less time in lunch or book in advance the queue system, probably will be with no regrets.

Overall we had a good trip, thanks to all the guides and drivers and Vivi.

I had a great experience with Vanessa at China Travel who arranged for my solo tour of selected cities in China last year. So, I relied on her again this year for an even longer solo trip. This time, I visited Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-la in Yunnan, Lhasa in Tibet, Chengdu, Chongqin and Luoyang. She arranged for local guides, air and train tickets and hotels in every city. Guides met and dropped me off at all destinations and hotels were clean and situated in the perfect locations. Everything flowed on schedule and as expected. I am already planning for another trip next year and I'll use her again.

I travelled independently Chongqing- Chengdu - Yangzte cruise - Xian - Suzhou and Shanghai. I booked the cruise and trains through Annie who was absolutely superb. Response time was amazing and her English is so clear. If you need to book anything in China I would recommend this organisation in the strongest terms.

We planned our trip to China with the skilfull assistance of Vanessa Zheng. From the outset Vanessa has been very helpful and understanding with changes and additions and always replied promptly. She really optimised the tour for us to suit our needs to the best. When we actually started the tour we were thoroughly impressed by the quality, professionalism and attitude of all the guides and drivers provided.
