CleverFiles Reviews

Disk Drill seemed like it'd be a great option, it was the only software that was able to find and said there was a chance I could recover my files. However, when I went to recover the files it locked recovering behind a paywall despite the fact that it searched for and found them. It also had said that you could recover 100 mb FOR FREE, but that was not the case either and it was STILL locked behind a paywall. Lost a vast majority of the files on my SD card because of it, all of which that weren't even mine but were given to me on the SD card as a gift.

We were guided through the process of recovering our lost files and we managed to get more than 95% of them. We had tried other programmes but they were not successful. Disk Drill is thorough and does a complete job.
We recommend this product and the company to you. They will help you to recover your lost data like no other company can. They are professionals and it is well worth paying for this product.

Too expensive, spent time scanning but couldn't preview whether correct files were recovered without signing up for Premium... which is too expensive. Give me a freememium option or a cheaper option for less data.

Now this program for Mac is top notch. I have had it in various versions for years and have always found it to be the best of a lot of apps that claim to do the same functions. I recently had a catastrophic failure of a portable HDD that I used to save DEVONthink data (particularly emails) while away from home but foolishly deleted the email from my Mail account when done than emptied the bin. Gone forever!. I purchased new recovery software at great expense from other Companies and nothing worked. Eventually, remembering I used to own Disk Drill Pro, I returned to it…got prompt help from CleverFiles to get the latest version then did a bit-for-bit recover. I didn’t get everything but found enough of my four weeks of missing email to take away the pain. CleverFiles responded almost immediately to my question and I was most impressed by their service ethos. I have left this one on my Mac and while hoping I won’t need it to recover files again, it is reassuring to know it works and works well. Well done CleverFiles!

they helped me out and got my pictures back - better than the other softwares I tried

I am very happy since I was able to quickly take the stress of and find my files and be able to find them and see the recovery status.

I have had this program for years and it is awesome. I haven't used my computer in a while so I decided to reset it and use my backup and recovery disks and I chose to open them with disk drill after and I received a pop up from disk drill asking what I was doing when I crashed, I replied to them odd thing is they caught the crash as they messaged me they were on top of it. Then I woke up this morning with an email and was informing me to update with a link provided and also it was an amazing surprise they went above and beyond for me I appreciate you at disk drill and will definitely broadcast your great program and customer service.

I had a few questions about Disk Drill licensing and reached out to support. Greg responded quickly with clear information and several discount options. I appreciated the fast, professional, and transparent customer service. Thanks for the help!

The program works excellently, and tech support is great. I had an issue with the website, so I had to purchase the lifetime version through a friend overseas, although I had a discount as a recurring customer.
After trying to resolve the website issue, they happily offered me a refund, acknowledging my discount for the lifetime version.

Sent to this app by Apple as I had a faulty USB stick with files on it.

Its NOT FREE, its a free scan but then they charge (which I wasn't fussed about) but they entice you in with a promise of £40 one off charge, until you start filling out the form then it jumps to over DOUBLE.

Left it over night and slept on it, came to my computer today and nothing would work, have spent half. day doing a full reinstall of the OS

Thankfully I had all my files backup on another USB stick

After 5 years of non use, needed to activate my program, tech support were amazing!

Fantastic program, solved my lost 360 videos from a Insta 360 X5. Well spent money for a lifetime version on the Pro model.

Disk drill is a great tool that helped me recover information on an old drive that I thought was lost forever.

I also had a coupon that I forgot to apply and they made sure to make it right.

I have tried others to recover lost and deleted files all made promises. But only Cleverfiles actually recovered my files. The fact that i could review and choose my files before restoring is a plus. I tried external hard drives and sd cards both successful with cleverfiles. Files I thought lost forever I got back.

I was completely stressed out after accidentally fomatting my drive where i had my precious and very important files of over 1.5TB. After trying other recovery tools that just scattered my files into a disorganized mess of file extensions, I gave Disk Drill a shot.
The scanning depth is incredible. Not only did it map out virtually my entire 1.5TB data pool sector-by-sector, but it completely reconstructed my original file system layout. Seeing my exact folder structure with their real names completely saved me weeks of manual reorganization. The interface is clean and scanning trajectory is spot on. If you need a recovery tool that actually respects your deep directory paths and oreserves your data exactly how it was, look no further. Disk Drill is truly a lifesaver. !!!!!!

I am very satisfied with Disk Drill Pro. The software is easy to use and works great. What impressed me most was the Support Desk—their response was almost instant, and they were courteous and professional throughout. I can recommend their products and services.

I had a great experience using Disk Drill. The program was able to scan my damaged hard drive quickly and locate files I thought were gone forever. It gave me a clear view of what could be recovered and helped prevent important data from being permanently lost. I really appreciated how simple and effective the process was.

Found a way to recover my 900 gb worth of critical storage

Update- After paying for the subscription and starting the recovery process, it appears that my data was somewhat recovered, however some of the files that I desperately needed were not recovered.

I am not a fan of companies making videos that pop-up first thing on your feed and suggests to use their softwares, only to show you at the very end that you eventually have to pay. Which makes you desperate in a "Oh since I'm here I might as well pay" however if it was disclosed beforehand it would've saved the time and hassle and possibly given me time to find an alternative solution that wouldn't cost as much as this subscription that will be used only once.

Great UI experience. I was quickly able to see preview of my lost files. Great features loaded in the app for data recovery.
