CleverFiles Reviews

I had a really stressful experience when my SSD suddenly failed and I thought I had lost all my files. Disk Drill was honestly the only reason I was able to recover most of my data, which still feels almost unbelievable.

After that, I contacted support to ask about an educational discount using my university email address. It wasn’t even an email officially listed on my school website, but they still took my request seriously and reviewed it kindly.

Because I was in a hurry, I had already purchased the software at the regular price before seeing the approval email. When I later explained the situation and asked whether a student discount could still be applied, they approved a 20% refund for me anyway.

I was genuinely surprised by how understanding and kind the support team was. Their responses were fast, thoughtful, and felt human — not like a typical scripted customer service experience.

Disk Drill helped me recover my files, but CleverFiles’ support left an even stronger impression. I’m truly grateful.

I experienced an issue with a discount code during my Disk Drill purchase, and I was genuinely surprised by how the team handled the situation.

The support team showed great good faith by listening to my concerns and processing a partial refund to honor the discount. For me, it wasn’t just about the money, but about the integrity of the process and the value shown to the customer.

Disk Drill is already a very powerful tool for data recovery, but seeing this level of professional support gives me great confidence in recommending them. I also had a very professional service experience with their payment provider, Paddle, and their team. I recovered all my data even files I didn’t know were there! Thank you again. Cuneyt E.

I store loads of data on external hard drives connected to my Mac computer. Three weeks ago I open one of the hard drives and it appeared totally blanc and hundreds of files were missing, many were photographs, Videos of bands I've played in and a whole host of important documents. I found Diskdrill on line and did some research. I was a little bit sceptical but tried their free version which pulled up hundreds of files so I decided to buy the program. At first I struggled but after contacting the company they guided me through the process. Diskdrill recovered hundreds of files including many that I'd forgotten about. Hat's off to Diskdrill and the team behind it. Excellent product and unbelievable customer service. Lesson now learned and I have two backups for everything.

Found via google search when I had a corrupted video on BeastCam which would not even open. I uploaded it. They sent a fixed file in 10 mins which was better but jumpy. I asked them if they could improve it and they did overnight for the same fee. They were a lifesaver. Happy to recommend.

Disk Drill by CleverFiles did for me what other software couldn't; restore deleted precious drone footages. And the bonus, filenames were also restored in the process. This software does what it is supposed to and does it well. Honestly, one of the best software purchases I have ever made.

CleverFiles AKA Disk Drill is bs. What a ripoff

Highly recommend Disk Drill. Saved 150GB of corrupted files including the priceless Christmas card address excel file.

There are some negative reviews online that almost put me off buying this. I tried Windows File recovery and just could not get the syntax to work. So I purchased DiskDrill from Cleverfiles and it worked just fine. I had been using VVPro to backup files and when the disk letters changed unnoticed I accidentally overwrote good files with old one, and lost a week's unrecoverable work. Diskdrill got it all back, albeit after quite a few hours. I'm a little puzzled about one thing. Without being asked it also recovered deleted files from my system disk, and actually that gave me a pleasant surprise too - a file I thought was gone forever. In this one day's exercise it has paid for itself twice over.

Hi,

Just wanted to say that Disk Drill v6 did a great job recovering data from a Sony A7 IV memory card using the Advanced Camera Scan mode about two weeks ago. Filtering the results by date was also much faster than with UFS Explorer.

had one of those questions on a product i bought about ten years ago and had David respond and answer/resolve my question within seven minuten. I usually don't write reviews, but when I do, it is for excellent service, thank you!!

Thank you so much Svitlana for your help.
Have a beautiful day. Nathalie

I bought a lifetime license for Disk Drill Pro in 2019 via a reseller (StackCommerce).

As life happens, I periodically replace my computer(s) (old machine being upgraded, or machine needs to be sent to Apple for repairs under warranty, where Apple normally ends up wiping the hard drive, etc.). I get the device back, try to activate Disk Drill Pro - but after a few activations, Disk Drill Pro started refusing to activate.

Given I did not buy the license directly from Cleverfiles, I could not use their self-service "Reset Activations" function, because the reseller (StackCommerce) needed to give me information I needed for the self-service website, but they failed to provide this information.

Fortunately, reaching out to Cleverfiles support, and after explaining the situation, one of their representatives (Svitlana S) was very helpful, friendly, and professional, and explained that I can contact their support email in these cases and they can manually reset the activations for me.

Problem solved! Next time I need licenses from them, I will go to them directly. Awesome customer service!

Basit kullanımı kolay ve gerçekten işini yapan bi program ücretini hakediyor...

Fast, efficient, friendly!

I'll keep this brief and just write what I sent to CleverFiles:
I wanted to respond to your survey by letting you know that your product worked for me and the support and help files were excellent.

Thank you so much David for the outstanding detailed technical support you provided me this Sunday (11.16.2025). DiskDrill it's an easy great tool to use and it indeed recovers everything that's recoverable. Congratulations!

My experience with CleverFiles was 1000% great! They recovered a file from my drone, collapsed after a fight with a bird (unbelievable!) ...so, they restored a corrupted mp4 video, thank you so much! My video is safe and.... funny after all aaahha

Пришлось восстанавливать 10 файлов с видео mp4, все файлы восстановил. Один оказался 8,5 Гб. Система не взяла больше 5Гб. Написал письмо, мне дали ссылку на dropbox. Его тоже восстановили. Круто! Cool!

Me ayudaron bastante a la restablecimiento de mis claves de activación ya que no sabía cómo restablecer dichas claves, pero ellos en un par de días lo pudieron resolver, ahora estoy de nuevo utilizando esta herramienta para recuperar archivos.
