Was interested buying a camera from…
Was interested buying a camera from these guys and thought it was a great deal, however when I messaged these guys they replied hours later to tell me it’s sold even tho the website said opposite.
Luckily I didn’t buy it because it would’ve been a pain to get my money back, fix your website and tell your staff to be honest when people are interested in something, one of the people had said it was available and the other said it’s not? Wtf.

Ordered binoculars on a Saturday afternoon was in no rush for them but they appeared less than 24 hours later on a Sunday despite not paying extra for next day delivery .... I also traded in a pair as well and after agreeing on the price ...the money was in my bank a few days later ... Highly recommend

Great Customer Service
I ordered an Opticron Explorer Monocular for Christmas 2025. But I ordered the wrong one in error! Clifton Cameras couldn't have made the return/reorder process more easy for me. There was no fuss, clear instructions for return and a prompt redelivery of the Monocular I meant to order in the first place. Great customer service and wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

We were very happy with the part exchange deal that was quoted. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. The store is very clean and nicely laid out with lots of display cases. Very easy parking outside store. Would highly recommend.

Ultra fast delivery over a weekend.
I ordered a lens at close to 5pm on a Friday afternoon, and received it on Sunday morning via DPD, despite choosing the 2-3 days free postage option. That's excellent. The online sales process was quick and efficient, and the delivery updates kept me informed. Thank you!

I thought they would be better...
I really was hoping for a good experience with this company in Cheltenham but I left very disappointed. I wanted to trade my gear in for an upgrade and they gave me an in store estimated quote, I told them that my own rating for the kit was excellent. They then inspected it and confirmed that the kit was excellent but then dropped their quote by over a £100, saying they had originally quoted me for mint condition! I then tried Wex and eventually part exchanged with MPB whose quote was significantly higher and closer to the market average. Their staff are generally ok but on my last visit I encountered a rather grumpy 'mature' gentlemen who was quite curt and was more interested in bantering with a friend in the store than working a sale. So I recommend getting quotes from Wex and MPB before you accept a figure from them.

Our initial quotes are always estimates based on the information provided, and once equipment is assessed in person, grading can differ slightly, particularly between categories such as “excellent” and “mint”. That said, we appreciate how a reduction of this size would be disappointing.
We’re also sorry to hear about your experience in store. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and your comments will be shared with the team.

I bought a pair of binoculars from Clifton cameras Swarovski petrol thousand I'm paid 1230 when I receive them they weren’t in my opinion working like a pair of Binoculars should I’ve had Binoculars in the past but these were like glaze not fully focused when I use them I asked to return them and said they were faulty so I returned them with their return label then I had a message saying they are taking £15 off me as they said there was nothing wrong with them . They are going to say that just so they get their money back so be careful when you buy something on your return it they will take money off you so it’s not free. Return bad company. I would recommend using Wex of MPB as they are fair and this companies this company is not. I gave him one star, but they don’t even deserve that. I would stay away from them if I was you. . We understand how frustrating it can be when a product doesn’t perform as expected. In this case, the binoculars were returned to us as faulty, however after thorough testing by our team, we were unable to find any fault with the unit. It’s possible that the issue may have been related to setup, such as dioptre or eye relief adjustment, which can affect how binoculars appear when in use.
As the item was confirmed to be in full working order, the £15 deduction was applied to cover the return collection cost, in line with our returns policy.
That said, we always want our customers to feel confident when purchasing from us, and we’re sorry that this experience didn’t meet your expectations. If you would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly and we’d be happy to help.
Good service, but condition description didn’t match what I received
Website advertised lens as “mint, unboxed”, arrived with very visible signs of usage and third party box. I would say it was “good” condition. The price was great though, so wasn’t too disappointed. Other than that great service.
