Titilayo from phone customer service…

Titilayo from phone customer service was incompetent and lacked integrity. She kept on dismissing my concerns while refusing to put the steps taken to ensure quality assurance in an email. She wasted my time, caused me immense inconvenience and caused some of the refrigerated items to go bad because of her lack of customer service and more importantly integrity.

Expect better from the Co Op to lokk after their loyal customers

Your policy of everyone irrespective of age or abilities must now pay by card, Cash you don't want to know about and keep your most loyal customers/members waiting whilst staff who used to serve at the tills now stack shelves, who are themselves not proud of keeping us customers waiting, who want to pay by cash. I get shrugged shoulders from your wonderful staff who want to help but can't while people with single purchases say excuse me I just want to tap and go and push in to use your obnoxious card machine's covering the cash till area, these infringement devices and expect us to fully operate and understand them at 78 years old pensioner you are forcing us to put up with it. I have been a local society member for over 30 years not that counts for anything at all,
Every day when I go out I have a certain amount of money on me and know at the end of the day where I have been and how much I have spent. (not anymore)
I Don't need a good memory for that but when I tap and go i have to log on and that's when the fun begins I can't remember transactions I done three days ago let alone what I purchased so please for once consider your main society benefactors, The co op is not so cheap priced goods which I don't mind paying for as you are local, just want to received the service expect from a society which relies on very much on OAP trade.
Its a management call and not your helpful staff who take the brunt of your ill thought out decisions.

Fake Titles and Imagery on Products

I bought two of your stone baked double pepperoni pizzas from the Baker Street brand. Oh my goodness what a disappointment! I’d hate to see the single pepperoni ones as there was basically hardly any pepperoni on them.
It’s another example of fake listing and packaging images from this company.

Customer Service Failure – No Reply Since March

I am extremely disappointed with Co-op’s handling of my complaint, which I initially raised on 10th March. Despite sending multiple follow-up emails, I have received absolutely no response — not even a basic acknowledgement.

This level of disregard is completely unacceptable. It gives the impression that customer concerns are simply ignored rather than taken seriously. For a company that claims to value its customers and community, this lack of communication is both frustrating and unprofessional.

Being ignored for this long is not just poor service — it reflects a complete failure in customer care. No customer should have to chase repeatedly just to be heard.

I have now lost confidence in Co-op’s ability to handle complaints responsibly. Immediate action is needed to address this issue and improve what is clearly a broken process.

Coop Farnworth

Coop Farnworth, Highfield Road, self checkout introduced, cannot pay by cash without a full scale operation explaing why I want to pay cash,store not fully stocked, limited product range, delivery drivers obstruct the service road by parking on double yellow lines.same delivery people ignorant and push their way to the front of the queue.

Quick home delivery from Katherine Drive, Dunstable is pathetic! Twice now we have ordered, given an hourly window for delivery, you get a notification that the order is packed and ready, money taken from account, then minutes before the delivery window ends, you get a notification that the order has been cancelled, no reason given. Presume no drivers etc to accept the order! If you can't guarantee the service stated, then don't offer it!

Items came to £12.65, cashier unable to give a receipty for some reason, when I got home and checked my card, I was charged £19.65. Unhelpful customer services took five days to tell me, without a receipt, there was nothing they could do. Obviously the cashier was aware of this.

This is not the first time

This is not the first time. The Co-op are very slow learners. It is Easter Sunday and I am looking to see where I can buy newspapers on Easter Sunday. Online it says the Co-op is open and closes at 4pm.
Guess what, it's not. I, and several others are disappointed. Surely it is not beyond the capabilities of someone at the Co-op to get their opening times correct over a bank holiday. Apart from this, the general attitude of the staff needs some further training. I choose not to use the store if at all possible. Do any staff ever look at the star ratings?? Rant over!

checkout unmanned

Is it too much to expect a person at the checkout.

Visited the Co op at Broadstairs
this morning. The lady behind me in the queue went to find a staff member. When she gets there in a fluster. Not a good morning, not an apology like
"sorry to keep you waiting".

Through the counter at 100 miles and hour and then she disappears before serving the lady behind me.
Unbelievable. What sort of people are you hiring.

Pitlochry Co-op carries out ILLEGAL bag searches...Physical and verbal assault from staff member who accused me of shoplifting,despite the fact that the receipt was in the bag and he was having NONE of it...This was all caused by the toxic,poisonous,crabby,loudmouth wee woman who was working on the kiosk that day...I am still waiting for answers from Co-op head office..
I have been shopping in that store for over 20 years and NEVER EVER have I experienced such shockingly aggressive staff.

Didn't deliver full order

Placed an order for co-op through Amazon.
Ordered items that I wanted which were on offer, needed to add few more items for delivery. The main items I wanted didn't turn up and then had to go through Amazon customer service to get a refund.

Constant disability discrimination need lawyer

I live in a gossipy village in Clackmannanshire. I cannot speak (deaf) and don't work. I am subject to horrible gossip aa the poor dude in a rich toon. Coop staff have a vendetta against me since I've raised complaint re discrimination 6 years ago. Today till lady was happy cheery talking to customer in the Q. Then my turn. She scowled. Threw my bag of veg on the counter after scanning. Thumped my beers too. Almost launched a bag of sweets at me. Told me the damage. I paid said bye and I was ignored.

Worst supermarket ever

Could not put -5 otherwise could have.
Poor quality food/goods at high prices & to follow it up, should something go wrong, good luck trying get your money back. They don't care about the customers. Or if they do, they interrogate you as if you're in the Home Office wth
Customer service is freaky & weird, seems the staff are straight out of mental hospital (or maybe are still in mental hospital as it's not a call centre !) 😅
There's no complaints department if you're unhappy with the service received.
I'm so glad so much theft happens there, they are daylight thieves & it's karma 😊 what they deserve.

Hostile, Obnoxious, Unprofessional

Tang Hall Branch in York.

I am absolutely furious and utterly fed up with the increasing number of staff working at the Co-op convenience stores (York Branches) displaying nothing but obnoxiousness, rudeness, and outright hostility. It is disgraceful. Their professionalism is entirely absent; it’s as if decent customer service is a foreign concept to them.

While I acknowledge there are some genuine gems among these employees, they are so few and far between that they barely count. The overwhelming majority behave as if they couldn’t care less about the customers they’re meant to serve.

When I politely asked the duty manager to take down the tracking number — just to get some peace of mind, especially since she stubbornly insisted the parcel wasn’t delivered — I expected at least a smidge of courtesy. Instead, I was met with a dismissive attitude, and what I felt was an underlying indifference that clearly isn’t directed at me but at the very essence of decent, respectful service. As a customer, I deserved genuine reassurance, not to be dismissed or treated like an irritation.

Being neurodivergent, this unnecessary distress, suspicion, and frustration is an intolerable burden. It’s utterly exhausting to be met with such attitude and disregard. I had to tighten my jaw and hold my tongue just to stop myself from snapping. This is unacceptable.

To make matters even worse, I could not get through by phone at all. When I pointed this out to her, she finally realised the phone had been left connected to the last call for a staggering four hours! How on earth is that acceptable?

I am utterly disgusted with most of Co-op's staff. It’s clear they need to be seriously retrained in basic courtesy and how to treat customers with a shred of respect. Show some genuine empathy instead of shameless indifference, and for heaven’s sake, demonstrate a minimum level of professionalism!

Above all, they must be made aware of the Equality Act 2010. Frankly, I believe many of the staff continually flout this vital legal requirement in plain sight. It’s only a matter of time before someone takes civil action against Co-op, which is vicariously liable for any gross negligence and discriminatory conduct of its employees.

I will be reporting this incompetent duty manager to Royal Mail. Additionally, I will be contacting Trading Standards to see if this falls within their jurisdiction, as I am convinced there are serious potential breaches of the Equality Act 2010 happening right under their noses!

Coop is crap rubbish don't have no stock in when ordering stuff don't do a good job in keeping the place stacked up with products never nothing in the store don't know why that it is could a co-op for the love of god can someone change that store to be something decent and different like an Aldi and that ain't just at mile end that is everywhere

THE GARGRAVE YORKSHIRE HERO!

I am a senior, and took my shopping trolley to shop for the first time at my local Coop in Gargrave Yorkshire, having recently moved there.
When I got to the checkout, I stacked the trolley, but could not balance it. The lady behind the counter came around the counter to help me.
She is my hero! We were battling to get the trolley to stand up, whilst a queue was forming. She repeatedly told me it would be ok, and not to worry. Bits broke off the trolley as we struggled!
I eventually managed to balance the trolley, and get home.

..... and it was all my fault! Make sure you open the base so it stands up; BEFORE you fill it. I didn't do that (hadn't used it for ages). It is battle scarred, but still works.

Above all else, it was that lady's calm demeanour that helped me so much.
I don't know about other branches, but a loud shout out for that lady and the Gargrave Yorkshire branch!

Ordered for delivery. It was meant to take just over an hour. After 3 hours I cancelled. Now to see how long I'll need to wait for a refund. Shambles.
