The sofas were delivered in good time, however the cables to connect the sofas were not delivered, hence installation and connection could not be done on delivery.
I have contacted customer services and awaiting delivery.

The staff were very welcoming and informative, they listened to all my requirements and were very patient and accommodating.

Sandra at the Highgate, Birmingham branch was very thorough and courteous. She was patient while we made our decisions and explained the purchase procedure clearly. She did not pressurise us at any stage. She was personable and friendly.

Unfortunately we forgot the name of the gentleman who helped us today. However he was very helpful with looking for the right sofa with our preference of colour, fabric feel and style of sofa. We walked away happy with the price and choice that we made. Our previous sofa from DFS is approaching 10 years old and still in very good condition. It just doesn’t suit our colour change any longer. Thank you DFS.

⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing experience with DFS

The furniture I received had significant defects which DFS described as “scars from the cow”. Rather than accepting responsibility for the condition of the furniture, I had to pursue a Section 75 claim through the finance company before the issues were properly taken seriously.

Even after that, DFS has used what feels like delay tactics in dealing with the refund, leaving me having to repeatedly chase the matter.

For an expensive purchase, I expected much better quality, customer service and accountability. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not buy from DFS again.

Avoid DFS — terrible customer service and aftercare

One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. I received new sofas, but the back cushions barely had any filling in them, leaving me having to pay extra money out of my own pocket to put the issue right. What makes it worse is that the finance company did nothing to help, and the Ombudsman also declined to assist. In the end, I’ve been left to fork out more money to resolve an issue that shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
For the sake of £20, you would think DFS would have simply done the right thing and honoured the cost, but instead they seem determined to squeeze every last penny out of their customers. The technician who dealt with the matter was also rude, vindictive and arrogant, which only added to an already stressful experience. I’ve had nothing but stress dealing with this company, and now I’m paying £20 to correct their mistake because the sofa was not as described from day one. I’ve dealt with companies such as Furniture Village and Sofology, and my experience with their customer service and aftercare has been far better.

Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. There are plenty of furniture companies that offer much better customer service and aftercare.
