Avoid DFS — terrible customer service and aftercare

One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. I received new sofas, but the back cushions barely had any filling in them, leaving me having to pay extra money out of my own pocket to put the issue right. What makes it worse is that the finance company did nothing to help, and the Ombudsman also declined to assist. In the end, I’ve been left to fork out more money to resolve an issue that shouldn’t have existed in the first place. For the sake of £20, you would think DFS would have simply done the right thing and honoured the cost, but instead they seem determined to squeeze every last penny out of their customers. The technician who dealt with the matter was also rude, vindictive and arrogant, which only added to an already stressful experience. I’ve had nothing but stress dealing with this company, and now I’m paying £20 to correct their mistake because the sofa was not as described from day one. I’ve dealt with companies such as Furniture Village and Sofology, and my experience with their customer service and aftercare has been far better.
Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. There are plenty of furniture companies that offer much better customer service and aftercare.

Let us have a look around without any pressure then offered us a nice hot drink as the salesman could see we had maybe settled with the one we were sitting on and he asked if we needed assistance. You either want to buy one or not and he then continued to explain all the sizes.

We were served by Imran, lovely young man, very polite and friendly, gave us loads of options to choose which helped me to make my mind up with ease, he even stayed back because we were feeding our baby, didn’t rush us or made us uncomfortable. Fantastic service. Thank you Imran

Excellent from start to finish, jimmy was really good

The sales assistant was very patient, professional, informative with us, offered lovely coffee and gave my husband a coffee I time to discuss our decision. No complaints on the purchase made today. Informed approx 2 weeks gor delivery

The sales man was very helpfull and understaning. Nothing was to much trouble.

Good experience was created at the door. Asked if we had been there before allowed to browse and help was there when needed.

Walked in greeted by nice man jimmy i told him what i was after and that i wanted to look by myself he said call me when you need me he then aproached me few minutes later i told him i like that but it needs to be manual not electric jimmy said we can arrange that which i was shocked at we sat and chatted i chose colour and thickness of leather he came across as honest even told me sides and back of chair is not leather jimmy told me about lots of extras which i declind jimmy was very helpful and keyed up i will return to store in the future we have a 3 piece from DFS over 10 years still going good
