David’s review is very thorough and thoughtful. I may not like what he says at first because it goes against what I’ve written, but after our discussion I know his ideas are better for the book I want... Toon meer

David Lombardino took a rush job from me and did a very thorough developmental edit. I incorporated many of his edits and I think my work is much better for it. Thank you David!

Geschreven door het bedrijf
I’m David Lombardino, founder of DLA Editors & Proofers. Since 2008, I’ve worked one-on-one with authors, applicants, academics, and professionals on writing and communication where judgment, clarity, and outcomes matter. I collaborate with authors on books and screenplays, helping them strengthen structure, narrative focus, and voice. I work with applicants pursuing medical residency, fellowship, and other competitive programs on personal statements, interviews, and application strategy. And I help academics and professionals shape complex ideas into clear, effective writing. My approach is hands-on and collaborative, centered on careful analysis, specific feedback, and thoughtful decision-making.

Great service for applicants
That is the second time I have chosen DLA Editors. First, as a resident applicant, and now for fellowship, I received great feedback from programs about my application. They are reliable, fast, and accurate. In a world with increasing use of AI, including myself, using a service like theirs is important to give a human touch and be able to truly communicate the meaning behind the words you put in your text.

Amateurish
The edit suggestions were amateurish. I would never hire the 'supposed' fiction editor.

A Pleasant and Helpful Experience
I thought I might be defensive when I received my script edits, but I was grateful and pleased with the suggestions. I believe my experience was very good overall and would have given a 5 star review except for a couple of spelling errors. The note from the editor was positive yet honest. I will use this company again for sure.

I have had nothing but positive experiences
I have had nothing but positive experiences. I was feeling extremely lost with how to formulate my personal statement and applications. Truly a stroke of luck I signed up for a free session on a whim and found this resource. My application and PS were exponentially improved with the help of David/DLA and I feel much more confident in my application as a whole. I completely re-vamped my PS and application 2 weeks out from submission. Very reliable with their specified turnaround time. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering using this service.

Waste of money
Just telling “Could you provide explanation in detail about this?”
“Why you think this experience meaningful?”
Editage comments were just criticizing, not constructive.

Exceptional MSPE Letter Editing Service
I express my appreciation for the outstanding service you provided as my MSPE letter editor. Your assistance has been invaluable, and I am extremely satisfied with the final result.
Your attention to detail and expertise in crafting a compelling MSPE letter were evident from the beginning. You carefully considered my unique circumstances as an international medical student and skillfully highlighted my academic achievements and clinical experiences. The revisions and suggestions you provided greatly improved the overall clarity and impact of the letter.
Your dedication to meeting deadlines and delivering the edited MSPE letter on time was truly impressive.
