I passed my UK practical driving test, and I can’t thank MUFADDAL KATHAWALA enough! He is an exceptional instructor— incredibly patient, professional, and calm throughout every lesson. His explanations of road rules, roundabouts, and manoeuvres were clear and easy to follow. He really helped build my confidence behind the wheel and prepared me thoroughly for test day. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-quality driving instructor! 10/10 recommended!

I cancelled my lesson because I was very ill and didn’t think it would be safe for me to drive nor did I want to pass my illness onto the instructor. However he decided to charge me £78 for a two hour lesson even though he cancelled on our first lesson about an hour before. I have a very busy and tight schedule so this caused a lot of complications for me but I was still understanding. I have emailed customer service twice about this and they were super unhelpful and condescending, they did not compensate me at all for the double standard and instead said that I won’t be refunded my £78 because the instructor ‘wishes to charge me’. I find this very greedy and selfish, not to mention the amount of time he wasted in my lessons just chatting about random things while we were parked. On my last lesson, we were parked outside my house for 15 minutes before we finally drove off and he was just chatting about random topics. I felt like my experience was a complete waste of time and money, especially because I am a university student who also works part-time so my budget and schedule is tight. Now I’m going to have to switch to a different company because of how unfair and inconsiderate DriveJohnsons and my instructor was. I an still very upset about the fact that my instructor claimed the £78 with no consideration of his double standard at all. Selfish instructor and greedy unhelpful company.

It was great having lessons with Raf. He was very calm, supportive, and patient throughout my learning journey. He was my third instructor, and thankfully my last, as he helped me finally pass my driving test.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor, including my friends and family.

I’m so happy to say that I passed my practical driving test first attempt! 🎉🚗

A massive thank you to DREW WHELAN for all his patience, support and guidance throughout my lessons. He was always calm, encouraging and explained everything so clearly, which really helped me build my confidence.

I genuinely couldn’t have done it without his help. If you’re looking for a great driving instructor, I would 100% recommend him! ⭐️

Thank you so much for helping me achieve this! 🙌🏼

I took lessons in York and my instructor was Joseph Dokotum. He is a great instructor - has the skills and knowledge while also being very patient. It took me a lot of lessons to be test ready (I’m just generally anxious) but Joseph remained patient and got me there. Would strongly recommend Joseph!

I did driving lessons with Chris Elvin from February 2026 and have just passed in October 2026.
Great instructor, would highly recommend

Really great instructor. Had a brush up lesson and passed the next day! Really made an effort to find space for a last minute lesson, friendly and patient. Thanks again !

Abdul was an amazing instructor who helped me clean up mistakes in my driving and made me feel so much more comfortable and confident on the road and helping me to pass my manual driving test 1st time in a little amount of time.

Learning to drive with Ange has been such a positive experience. She’s genuinely sweet, patient, and makes every lesson enjoyable. When she needs to be firm, she is, but never in a way that stresses you out or knocks your confidence. She explains things clearly, supports you through mistakes, and really helps you feel comfortable behind the wheel. I’m genuinely grateful for her guidance and would recommend her to anyone.

I am really happy and appreciate the efforts of Muhammad Tahir Mahboob to assist me to pass my driving test. I will suggest everyone to learn from him because he is a fantabulous instructor with great skills and techniques.
Many Many thanks from Ankit

I’ve just passed my driving test with ZERO faults and it’s all thanks to my amazing driving instructor, Mya! 🎉🚗

I had been trying to learn how to drive for a long time and had lessons with other instructors in the past, but Mya was the only person who genuinely managed to build my confidence as a driver.

From the very beginning, she has been incredibly patient, supportive and encouraging. Every lesson was tailored to my individual needs and she always had a clear approach to teaching. She explained things thoroughly and had such a great way of breaking things down so that they were easy to understand. Her instructions were always clear, which made such a difference to my learning.

Mya took me through the test routes countless times and we went over and over everything I needed to know until I felt confident and prepared. Even when I made mistakes (and there were plenty! 😅), she was always kind, patient and encouraging. She never made me feel embarrassed or upset, and instead helped me understand what went wrong and how to improve.

What makes me especially grateful is that Mya completely changed the way I feel about driving. In the past, I was nervous and fearful behind the wheel and driving felt more like a chore than something I could enjoy. Now, I genuinely enjoy driving and feel confident and excited about it.

Learning to drive was a huge investment for me, both financially and personally, and I can honestly say that choosing Mya was worth every penny.

Mya, thank you so much for your patience, encouragement, support and for believing in me. I’m incredibly grateful for everything you have taught me, and I’ll always remember you as the person who helped me finally achieve something I had been trying to do for so long!

Asim was an amazing instructor, he was patient, and always keen to explain. Never ever did I feel like I was uncomfortable or that I couldn’t ask any questions. Asim was also able to accommodate my sporadic work scheduled and again was super helpful around this area. Thank you for everything! Will 100% recommend.

My instructor Drew was really encouraging when teaching me and supportive with my anxiety on driving and with his help I passed first time!

Thank you so much to Yaser Haseeb! I passed first time brilliant instructor!

I cannot recommend Numan Hussen enough for anybody looking for a driving instructor. He’s been great over the past 6 months that I’ve had the pleasure to be taught by him. Not only is he really friendly and a great person to talk to, he is a great person to learn to drive from. He is patient and very full of information, answering every question I had. He is a major reason for my success in achieving my license first try. If you need an instructor pick drive Johnson’s and ask for Numan Hussen.

Past first time with Chris in Hull. Very patient and informative. Thank you.

Shaz has been such an amazing instructor when teaching me how to drive! She is calm and understanding, but also pushes you to be the best. I appreciate her so much in this journey and i couldn’t of asked for a better instructor!

Qasim is the best driving instructor I've ever had, and I have had many. He is very calm, kind, knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. I'm very grateful to him for getting me over the line and getting my licence. Thanks Qasim!!

Haque was my driving instructor from Drive Johnson’s. He is a very experienced instructor, he provided customised tips to improve my driving during my lessons, comprehensive feedback on where I was going wrong, and ultimately guided me to pass my driving test at the first chance. Strongly recommend Haque, as he is very professional and punctual.

Indunil ADI from Reading is a fantastic driving instructor in Reading! He’s patient, calm, and genuinely invested in helping you become a confident and safe driver.

He keeps track of the things I need to improve, explains how to work on them, and even sends helpful YouTube videos between lessons. You can tell he really cares about his students becoming great drivers, not just passing the test.

Thanks to Indunil, I passed first time!

I’d highly recommend him.
