Superb instructor. I took the Speed Awareness course and I felt informed rather than punished. Very impressive course.

I learnt how much I had forgotten about driving. I have a brain injury and I was shown a coping mechanism for stress management and safe driving. I'm 69 and appreciated the help I was given, without being lectured as a bad or incompetent driver.

Excellent course. easy to book and attend on line at your own convenience. Sue the instructor was great. It was a group course and everyone was encouraged to participate but without pressure. Everyone in the group learned something new about speed limits. It's a shame this is only for people caught speeding. Useful as a reminder for all drivers exeperienced or otherwise

i was not looking forward to doing this course but i was surprised how much i actually enjoyed it, partly as the trainer Graham was very good at his job, also friendly and knew his stuff and partly because today whilst driving with my wife i was able to win an argument due to my now superior knowledge of the highway code, she went silent after checking Google, this is a first for me and im now thinking of other courses i can do this way, thankyou Graham and Drivetech i enjoyed the course and that win today made it a bit special..if you have to do this course i would say, dont dread it, learn from it and one day you too could get one over your misses..seriously though it was a great learning experience and i took alot from it. many thanks Jake James Scott

This has got to be one of the biggest joke companies around! The call centre staff are nice but clearly the person supposed to be taking the course had other ideas today!

My course was to start at 8am. The instructions were to be on 7:50 to show ID, which I was. It goes through 8am and nothing. It gets to 8:15 and says I’m still in the room waiting. So I called the call centre from my partners phone so I could stay in the room. I was told to hang fire as it can take 20 minutes after the start time. So I did.

I was then kicked out ‘ Sorry, you were denied access to the meeting.’ I attempted 2 more times with the same result.

So I called back again. I was told you only get so much time or they start without you! Absolutely shocking service and behaviour. I have personal matters to attend to and have made arrangements for today. It’s okay though, you can re-book free of charge!! What a disgrace.

I thought the instructor has to get through like 30/50 people which is why it can take 30 minutes. But no, 9 people is all they have to get through to show ID!! How does this take half an hour!!

I’ve had to now make arrangements again to do it tomorrow. I’m currently waiting for a manager call back so will see if that happens. If not, I will be doing everything possible to expose this behaviour.

Lee was fantastic, funny, friendly and very knowledgeable, made the course enjoyable.

If you get stuck with this company take the 3 points and fine, joke of a company, instructor talks to you like a naughty 5 year old, and make sure you have a pen handy or you’ll get kicked off the course and made to re book it. Sent a complain but the complaints team are as useless as the instructor was

This is a great alternative to points and a fine on your licence. Professional advice and support, no judgement or criticism. Really helpful to refresh your driving skills and good knowledge about speeding and consequences.

Worst experience possible!
Couldn't see the information being shared on teams so the instructor suggested i should leave the meeting and re-join. I was then left waiting in the lobby for 40 minutes. having tried to reboot my laptop, still couldn't get entry, tried logging in via my phone as well. I even phoned Drivetech to ask them to contact the instructor and ask him to invite me back in which they said was not possible.
Complete waste of my afternoon.

I attended the Speed Awareness Course on 31 August 2026, delivered by Tom Price, and found it an extremely worthwhile and informative experience.

Tom was an outstanding instructor. His many years of experience as a driving instructor were immediately apparent, and he was personable, knowledgeable, approachable and, above all, extremely professional. His engaging style made the course interesting and ensured that the key messages really resonated.

The most significant learning point for me was understanding the impact that even a very small increase in speed can have on overall stopping distance. The example comparing 30 mph with 31 mph, and the potential additional stopping distance of more than eight metres in the scenario demonstrated, was particularly powerful. It completely changed the way I think about what might otherwise seem like an insignificant 1 mph difference.

I came away from the course having genuinely learned something that will influence my driving in the future. That is testament to the quality of Tom’s instruction and delivery.

Fantastic course. I got pinched for speeding so I did the speed awareness course. It really brought it home how stupid speeding is!!!! Even though I’ve been driving for many years, I learned a LOT! Every driver should take this course… it has slowed me down, I’m more in control of my driving, and I enjoy driving much more now! Every new driver should be made to take this course, and every qualified driver should take it every five years! It’s not a lecture! You don’t get told off! The course leader helps you to see how you can be a better driver… and avoid accidents! Don’t be afraid of this course! Use it to see how you can be a better motorist! I have and now having taken the course, realise that I WAS doing a lot of things wrong! If this course just saves one crash, it’s worth every penny!

As much as I wasn’t looking forward to attending a speed awareness course it seemed the better option than ending up with points on my license, the Drivetech course was a friendly and informative experience, the trainer was professional and everyone attending took part with the discussions and the 3 hours went by quite quickly.

Attended an online course!

The trainer was very good - competent and friendly and ensured everyone contributed. I was very surprised by how much I learnt!!!
