What a joke when it comes to customer…
What a joke when it comes to customer service and price match guarantee. I would like to comment that the following people in customer service did absolutely nothing Harjit,Priyanka,Samdararsh,Om, and Gurwinder. All of them kept telling me that the team will be in touch by email 7-10 days. Nothing after 11 days so once again it is the customer following up. My issue was price matching and the TEAM didn't even follow up or nothing. Customer service only gives me the SORRY because they are thousands of miles away that is easy to do. Why do you have a 30 day return policy if it takes over 2 weeks to receive it once ordered. So you get 2 weeks to decide? If you tell me that you would look at that situation if it came to that, then that was what the price match was just 2 weeks after. That is so nice to a senior who purchased this item.
Broken Vacuum. Zero Support. Money Pit.
I purchased a Dyson Vacuum 5 years ago. 4 years ago a part (dust bin) was not sealing properly. I contacted Dyson and they told me they would not cover the issue under warranty and that the part I would need to purchase was on back order. A year later I contacted Dyson again as the part was still unavailable. But, somehow, the chat agent was happy that she could send me the part at that time and at my cost. I threw out the old part and the new one arrived. WRONG PART! It did not fit my machine and Dyson clearly had my serial number so this mistake should not have happened. So, again, I contacted Dyson. They told me to wait for when the part is back in stock and then re-order (again at my cost). No other solutions. This has happened 3 more times. I contact the company and they deny any sort of help. Except today. They offered me 20% off a new vacuum if I traded mine in. I feel taken advantage of. There is nothing I can do as the part hasn't been available for 4 years. They offer no solution and no help. I have a 1000$ piece of garbage taking up garage space. There is literally nothing I can do to fix this. Dyson refuses to help. I have paid for a new part that they sent me in error. I have chatted with several agents. I have tried every suggestion (other than buying a new machine myself). What am I doing wrong as a consumer? Please, do not buy from this company. The lack of support and sudden missing parts that never come back into stock tells a big story about how they operate. Every interaction I have had with an agent ended in an offer from them to me to spend more money. Disgusting Dyson.
Will not support products with known issues
Will not support products, when simple google search shows that there are very common problems, ie design defects. In my case it’s about the Purifier Humidifier. The pump column and electronics are clearly very know issues yet a solution via FB Messenger is 20% off a new machine if I bring my old one in. Absolutely unreasonable for a 1000$ machine with a design issue. Also, the official Dyson support email that I’m unable to post in this review….in the auto reply I received from that address, it says this address is “not a monitored inbox”. What??? Clearly

I have purchased 5 of the Dyson Hot /cold air purifiers, 4 Dyson vacuums and a Dyson Hair dryer. The products work well until they fail which when the nightmare of Dyson service begins. Dyson expects you to build a box for the product, pay for the shipping to Toronto area and then they will tell you if they will repair it and how much it will cost you. You are effectively cornered to pay whatever they ask or throw away the device or pay to have your defective product shipped back to you. This level of service for a company that charges such premium prices is unacceptable.

Shady Business Practices
I ordered a refurbished airwrap from Dyson Official Outlet via Best Buy Marketplace. I had converted a year's worth of Air Miles into gift cards in order to afford the purchase.
Went to check my order status and found it had been cancelled. Contacted Best Buy and was told Dyson must have done it by accident.
Placed another order. It too was cancelled. Contacted Best Buy again and was told there may be a problem with my credit card information.
Placed a third order with a different credit card and contacted my original credit card company. No problems with my credit card. Also, no problem with the gift cards; I checked the balance. Triple checked all my info. No problems. Dyson then cancelled the third order.
Back to customer service and was told Dyson cancelled my order due to low stock, so I contacted Dyson, because their website said it was in stock. I was told it IS in stock and offered a price match. Then they reneged and said they can't price match to non-official stores. Then they discovered that it really is an official store, but they can only price match new items. Forty Five minutes later, I was told to place the order through Best Buy again and was assured Dyson would not cancel it this time.
I replaced the order and sent a message along with it not to cancel it. The next day...CANCELLED. Contacted Dyson again. They offered to sell it to me for a much higher price.
It shouldn't be this hard to buy something for the price they are asking! It's very shady to list items as on sale if they aren't willing to sell them for that price!
I was a die-hard Dyson fan. We have two vacuums from them and I've been recommending them to anyone who asks. I know they won't care, but I won't be purchasing from Dyson again. When our vacuum breaks, I'll be finding a dupe.
Vacuum stopped working and Dyson doesn’t have parts
My Dyson stick vaccuum head stopped working a year after I bought the machine. The rest of the vacuum works fine.
I contacted Dyson since the machine is under warranty and they said they don’t have the part and have no idea when it will be available so the best option for me with only a year left on my warranty is to opt for a refurbished machine!!! I paid over 1500 dollars for this machine a year ago and it still is on warranty!!! I asked if I got the refurbished machine would my warranty then be void … it’s been crickets ever since. IMO they should replace the machine with a new one since it is still on warranty or the newest model not some refurbished one that might have more problems than my current one.

I’m beyond frustrated with Dyson’s return and refund process, and I feel it’s important to share my experience to warn others.
I purchased a Dyson Airwrap during Black Friday, but my husband also bought me the exact same model as a gift. Naturally, I decided to return the one I purchased. When the courier (Purolator) delivered the item on December 3rd, I refused the package right away. According to the tracking information, Purolator returned the product to Dyson’s warehouse on December 4th.
Since then, I’ve contacted Dyson’s customer service twice via phone and once through online chat to check the refund status. Every time, I was told the same scripted response—that I need to wait 14 business days for a refund. I even asked for a confirmation email about the return, but the representatives repeated that I would receive one on the 14th business day—nothing earlier.
Today, after contacting them again, I was finally informed that no return order had even been created for my case. This means that now they’ve only just created the return order, and I’ll have to wait another 2 to 10 business days for the refund to be processed.
I refused the package immediately without even opening it, and Purolator sent it straight back to Dyson’s warehouse. How does this kind of return take so long to process? Dyson had no hesitation to charge my credit card within minutes, yet I’m still stuck waiting weeks—possibly over a month—for my money to be refunded. And the worst part? No one at Dyson seemed to care.
After searching online, I found that I’m not alone—many customers have complained about Dyson’s slow, unorganized, and unhelpful return process. Their responses are always vague and dismissive, basically telling you to “just wait.” How can a company with such a premium reputation operate with such a terrible return system?
This experience has completely ruined my impression of Dyson, and I will never buy directly from their website again.
To anyone considering purchasing from Dyson’s official site—think twice.
I returned my defective Dyson and never got the promised replacement
I contacted oDyson to return my new Dyson vacuum that was not working properly. I was told to send it back to them by Purolator, and they would send me a new one as the part needed was not in stock. They sent me the self addressed box to use to do so. Nine weeks and 3 very long calls later, and I still haven't received the replacement vacuum. They talk nice, all apologetic, but they don't resolve anything.

Send it back and got a new one , beginning of December exact on our busy time of work stopped working , after being on The phone for long time finally I was able to send it back , but I really need a hair dryer so I purchased another one , but only worked one day . honestly is this a premium brand or garbage ? Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Dyson claims to be premium, but it’s all an illusion. The vacuum costs a fortune and only works for a few months. Dyson is truly a scam, selling overpriced and low-quality products. The customer service team has been telling me for 3 weeks that I’m supposed to receive my replacement product. 3 calls, and I keep getting the same answer from a bunch of incompetent people who barely speak English. Worst brand ever. I will never buy Dyson again. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing the Dyson V10. We have gone through all of this. First vacuum stops working within 6 months. Numerous calls first to troubleshoot then to try and get a shipping label and Dyson sends us a replacement. Amazing, we're so happy until the replacement stopped working after 2 uses! Call again, troubleshoot again, told it needs a new motor $240!
Still trying to get any kind of resolution but after reading these reviews I won't hold my breath.

The most disappointed I've ever been with any product/business in my entire life.
The dyson airwrap complete styler for hair cost a hefty price tag of $920 and I only used it a couple of times after receiving it as a gift. In the middle of use yesterday, it shut down out of nowhere and broke/will no longer turn on. I did all the troubleshooting Dyson requested I do with no luck - was directed to contact Dyson for a repair or replacement. I spent hours talking to customer service reps on Dysoncanada.ca only for them to leave mid conversation and me having to start all over again with someone new, 3 times - this made the whole experience all the more frustrating. Not to mention, the replies I continued to receive were so so robotic and did not at all ever hardly acknowledge the words I was saying / concerns I had. It felt like talking to a wall.
I was made aware my warranty expired 3 days ago and there was nothing they could do, unless I wanted to send the machine in for repair myself which would likely cost me approx 500$ including shipping. That they could not help me out considering my warranty just expired 72 hours ago, even though I know of many friends who they've made exceptions for when their warranty was 3-6 weeks expired.
Aside from typical large purchases like houses, cars, etc - buying a Dyson product is a massive investment and often one of the priciest things a lot of us will purchase in a lifetime. To have spent almost 1000$ on this and barely get a few uses out if it, and receive no support from customer services is appalling and feels fraudulent.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY LIFE WITH DYSON
I SENT MY VACUME FOR REPAIR 70 DAYS BEFORE, THEY ASK ME REPAIR COST HOWEVER IT WAS UNDER WARENTY PERIOD. SURPRISINGLY THEY ASK REPAIR COST WHICH WAS 85% OF NEW MACHINE.
EVERYTIME I CALL THEY SAY WE WILL TAKE CAR OF YOU BUT NO RESULT. I SPENT HOUR AND HOURS WITH THEM ON PHONE TO GET MY MACHINE BACK.
I WILL NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCT

Such a Disappointing Experience
I always thought Dyson was supposed to be the pinnacle of vacuums. Boy was I wrong. Since the layoffs during covid the company has changed for the absolute worst. The customer service is virtually non existent. My 3 year old V10 has completely broken down and their automated excuse that just happens to batteries is completely bogus. Now trying to order a replacement for close to 1000$ you would think delivery shouldn't be an issue, 3 weeks later and i get an email saying my order was cancelled. No service, bad products and total lack of accountability. Real shame as Dyson used to be held in high regards, not anymore. DO NOT RECOMMEND, EVER!!
Customer service lacking knowledge
My first customer service rep was really awful. He kept mis spelling my email even after 5 attempts. His English wasn't thorough. I was so frustrated I hung up and redialed. I'm glad I tried the number again. I got the help I needed to trouble shoot however these operators are basic and can't really figure out a SSID #. My # had 3 extra digits and they just couldn't figure that out. All they had to do was count the digits and drop the last 3 to find my item. But giving it a good rating because the 2nd operator helped me find the proper filter once I explained that the last 3 digits needed to be dropped to fit in their system.

In 2020 bought a Dyson V7 cordless vacuum. At first I was pleased with it but soon found out it was far lower quality than I had expected. While it was still under warranty, the battery failed. It took me several hours on the phone with a tech support person that they finally admitted the battery was faulty. Then they tried to get out of replacing it under warranty because I bought it through Amazon and not directly from Dyson. Eventually, they agreed to provide a new battery under the warranty but said it was out of stock. It took six weeks before they finally sent it and I was without a vacuum all that time.
About a year later, the mini motor head failed. I had to go through the same routine all over again before they finally sent a replacement. The vacuum is now only 4 years old and out of warranty.
Recently it quit working when either the big or mini motor head was installed, but still worked without them. Again, several telephone hours with tech support confirmed that the V7 main body had failed and needed replacement. They quoted me about $200 to replace it but again it was out of stock. I waited 6 more weeks without a vacuum until I phoned customer support to find it was still out of stock. They couldn't provide a compatible replacement. The best they would offer my was a 20% discount on an upgrade replacement.
At this point, either I just got a lemon, or all there products are of shoddy quality. Based on their poor customer service, I suspect the latter. I have since bought an equivalent knockoff product from Amazon at a much lower price and am extremely happy with it.
Not only would i never recommend a Dyson product, I would HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST THEM!
