Been coming there for the last 3 months and when I came in there a little bit early this morning a long line of trucks are there I waited in line and then that guy told me I'll come back in 15 minutes we're not open to the public but there's a bunch of trucks coming in aren't they the public horrible horrible customer service straight dicks there

Their online system lets you select a collection date, and while the confirmation email mentions someone will call to confirm, it shouldn't mean pushing your pickup back 10 days later.

If you don't have the actual availability, don't let customers select those dates on your calendar in the first place. I rearranged my schedule for nothing. Very frustrating and unreliable service.

I gotta say the staff is mostly treat to deal with, never make u feel stupid or like u are in the way . Have only ever had one bad experience. Felix , Lou , and Chris are the most pleasant and efficient while informative at the same time. Even tho light iron is paying $3bucks less than it was 3-4 months ago, it's the staff that keeps us goin back and we are there at least 3/4 times a day about 5/6 days a week!

Took my old scrap car from start to finish the service was fantastic from the initial enquiry through to the lads I dealt with in the yard to the lady in the payments office speedy service very easy to deal with and they even completed the paperwork for the DVLA
This was at the Bradford depot well done to all they deserve a pat on the back

George and Rocco are very dis respectful. Constantly criticizing metal i bring in. When i went to George about Rocco, he said if I did not like the treatment to go elsewhere. Outside in emrs parking lot, people are breaking down scrap and I have seen freon being released both.inside the yard and the parking lot. They also let certain people break down scrap inside the yard and tell others they can't.

Agreed a price which they changed to a lower figure, after a call they agreed to correct error which they never did and messed my daughter about by continually changing pick up day of her car, so please believe the bad reviews

Posted times are 4:00 for last weight and 4:15 closing time. I arrived at 3:56 with a small load. All doors were closed. Garage door was down. Employees were still inside. They didn’t seem too concerned about customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this business.

being a man of a certain age, it is most pleasurable to be able to leave genuine 5 star feedback to a company I will definitely use again.
A difficult day for me in the heat driving an hour to Derriford with the other half and then a stressful detour, time pressing, across Plymouth to the wrong EMR at Faraday Road for non ferrous metals. A pleasant and helpful lady there sent us to the correct EMR, EX Sims, on Sutton Road, a short distance away; take note anyone like me who hasn't sold scrap for 7 years.
The yard there is clean, organised and not strewn with the expected puncture inducing chaff. I had prepared well but no account which took moments to set up, Driving license and associated bank account details required. I brought copper pipe and had spent several hours separating the soldered joints to ensure, grade1, not required apparently; hopefully that will help someone. The clean copper water cylinder, so de-expanded foamed and brass attachments removed was also treated as grade 1. That aside I had chromed brass taps and fittings and a few dead motor windings. Dealt with quickly with trust and the money received was 20% more than I expected.
I dealt with three efficient and personable guys at EMR Sutton Road in the 15 minutes total, I was there; keep up the good work guys, a pleasure to deal with you.

They are very honest and keep to their word on prices no matter any drop in scrap value,customer service on point helped me make a account nice and easy,shout out to the kind women at emr Brentford and shout out to david from customer service,really helpful aswell,prices seem good too,will be visiting again

EMR Coventry took my metal Friday the 15th and today is the 27th almost two weeks - have not been paid yet they keep saying system is down etc etc . Its been a nightmare

Been taking them red brass for a while and was treated better then the other local scrap yards but now they have became the same as the others. I am not a dumpster diver I run a machine shop. I turn a lot of red brass and take the time to make sure its clean . I have probably took them 3 to4k lb.of it in last year. Now they have some rude help that dumped my material in a dirty bin with motor oil and then payed me for mixed brass. Big difference in price. Its not just scrap when you buy the material new yourself and take time to keep it clean its expensive. When they shaft you for over a dollar a pound that adds up taking hundreds of pounds. Dont like the help now and people inside said thats what we pay for red brass. No its wasnt you changed it and are playing me for a dumpster diver.
Won't give them anymore business and will post on ever platform available. Tired of these thieves always stealing from everyone.

Same day payments have been late the last 3 times, people were rude when I asked about it, time to find a different place to take my stuff.

Fantastic customer service, nice clean yard and really helpful

I went with this score only because the gent that collected my car was polite, helpful and careful getting the car off my drive.
This is where the good experience ended.

Had to basically beg for my money, constant excuses, spoke to 5 different people in the end and waited 48 hours to get paid.

Asked for a certificate of destruction which 2 months on and still not received it.
Rang and emailed. Usual promises undelivered.

Normally do not have any issues with the Northern depots but the depot at Chard is nothing short of a shambles. Disgusting attitude from woman on the desk towards my driver. Nobody comes to work to be spoken to in such a manner, especially when you are the customer. Also, yard is littered in metal shards to which they want you to drive your vehicle over. Won't be attending this dive again.

I have been to many scrap yards in Europe and the British Isles in my long career of driving lorries,both EMR and their competitors .....
I find that EMR Boreham " stands out " a little due to the friendly atmosphere from the minute that you park on the weighbridge, the staff treat you with respect and are very helpful too.
Newmarket, East Tilbury & Gt Yarmouth, in my opinion are close behind .

I use the Boreham one, very competitive with prices, really organised and always so helpful and friendly, that I have started using this site on a regularly basis. A special shout out to Donna as well, a credit to the company.

Good phone service and swift payment, unfortunate the same can’t be said for the practical element. In total I waited 5 weeks for my car to be collected, after multiple book ins failed to turn up. The first two scheduled collections the driver cancelled due to a fault with his truck. It was then rebooked in for two weeks later, where the driver turned up but was unable to start my car due to a faulty jump pack. My car was eventually picked up the following week but after several phone calls to rebook it did get rather frustrating. They gave me the best price though and I didn’t need the car gone urgently. The driver who collected my car was friendly and had good communication, I think it was just bad luck his jump pack failed initially, he just wasn’t the most punctual, but I get things happen. Friendly phone service and payment received an hour after collection.

Emr brentford, terrible service, so slow, and the guy in the mask has an attitude, rude, compared to emr wandsworth, soo much better serv ice, polite and helpful

Emr brentford, management needs to speak to the guy with face mask, he is not polite, also the area is untidy, and the way he throws the meyal missing my van, what the hell

What an absolute pleasure to receive such marvellous service from EVERYONE in this company.
In this day and age it is rarely experienced !
The service was quick, professional, friendly and on a level unsurpassed to any I have received lately.
AND very good price was paid immediately car had been picked up !
