Fantastic service from EnviroVent!

We recently had David from EnviroVent visit our home for a ventilation survey, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He was incredibly friendly and helpful from the first time we contacted him and from the moment he arrived he made what could have been a complex topic feel simple and easy to understand.

David took the time to explain exactly what he was looking for, talked us through his findings, and clearly outlined the benefits of the products he recommended - without ever feeling pushy. His knowledge and the way he communicated everything gave us real confidence in the solutions suggested.

The team that then came to do the installation were equally friendly and professional, explaining the different pieces of work they were going to do and then walking us through how to use our new ventilation products.

Brilliant service, great expertise, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Highly recommend!

Unacceptable service

Really disappointed with the after service. We rang for an engineer in September to visit. They put us off stating the unit ‘was asleep in summer mode’!!! We’ve rang again and have to wait until January for an engineer to call. We have refused to change fuses in the ceiling/loft unit as they requested. Total shambles

Envirovent advice and installation

We have just had Envirovent help us improve the airflow and ventilation in our cottage. The whole process was super easy. George from Envirovent South_southwest coordinated everything immaculately from initial survey to delivery. He was constantly in touch to keep us advised of progress and arranging dates for the work to be done. The fans are now up and running and all is working well.

A very inefficient response

We have had difficulty obtaining a response from your office regarding a fault. When eventually you replied, a basic question about the Boost switch could have solved this issue without needing an engineer to call on site or us attending. It all seemed very long-winded and could have been sorted out quickly over the phone.

Internet issues.

Internet issues had caused problems with the installation. Reviewed, assessed and offered a solution. Implemented without delay. Excellent service. Very helpful.

MVHR system broken and no spare parts

MVHR system broke after a few years and was told I need a completely new system, costing thousands. One of the fans is broken but EnviroVent refuse to sell spare parts, meaning you have to fork out the price for a whole new system.

I live in a large development in London and a lot of people are having exactly the same issue with their Envirovent systems - there’s a separate WhatsApp group for all those impacted, which shows you the scale of the issue

The 2 senior engineers who came from…

The 2 senior engineers who came from envirovent were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They explained how the system worked and the benefits of how to operate the machine. They also cleaned up after themselves.

Good so far

Fan seems to work fine although it will be some time before we know whether it has really solved the damp problem in our shower room.

MVHR unit broken after 4yrs

Energisava MVHR unit, installed new in new build flat, broken after only 4 years, despite service 1yr ago and regular filter changes, and only a four room flat. Both motors inoperative. Not possible to replace the motors, and with only a 2yr warranty, replacement not covered. An MVHR unit should last 10-15years. For both motors to break speaks to cheap componentry. Very nice and efficient authorised engineer who quoted 1300 to replace with another envirovent unit that also has a two year warranty - no surprise they reduced the warranty from 5 to 2yrs, they were probably replacing all of them.

Great communication and installation

The staff who answer the phone in the head office call centre were very helpful…The men who did the installation were very polite and worked well together… they talked me through how the ventilation system works… the fans do make a sound but I find it quite relaxing and I slept through the night without being disturbed at all

Greg who did the survey was incredibly…

Greg who did the survey was incredibly helpful and informative. The people on the phone and the ones who came out to put in the system were all incredibly nice and courteous. They tidied up after themselves, they were polite and did the work well. System is in place and working well too, would definitely recommend this company.

appalling after sales service

I had an envirovent piv installed in a rental property several years ago.
Tenant said it was expensive to run, so in summer months when not required, turned it off.
Piv would not start up again, so rang envirovent for advice, said they would send someone to look at it (£90 paid in advance)
Repair man looked at piv for 2 or 3 seconds, removed and refitted fuse in electric supply, looked at piv again for another 2 or 3 seconds and said condensation in circuit board, unit has been switched off so guarantee is void. Whole unit needs replacing, £1800 for 10year guarantee, £1200 for 5 year guarantee, or he would post one out to fit myself (80 years old) with 5year guarantee for £849 minus (10%discount +£90 callout fee already paid) he also stated that these units need to run 24/7/365 and if not run continuously guarantee is void. Repair man was on site 10 mins 15 max and could not leave quickly enough.
My grievances are why no spares or replacement parts and why not repairable, appalling level of after sales service and attitude of repair man, these units should have warnings everywhere and scream out that they need to be run continuously or guarantee is void.

Our PIV units are designed to run continuously. When the unit is switched off for prolonged periods, the difference in temperature between the property and the loft can cause condensation to form inside the unit. This may lead to water damage on internal components such as the circuit board, and unfortunately this can void the guarantee, as set out in the warranty terms.

We are unable to repair internal electronic components that have been affected by water damage, as this type of damage is not covered under the warranty. Replacement units are only offered where there is a manufacturing defect within the warranty period. Where damage has occurred due to the unit being switched off or used outside of the installation and operating guidance, the warranty is unfortunately void.

Just to reassure you, in warmer months there is no need to turn the unit off. Our loft-mounted PIV units have a built-in summer mode, where the unit automatically reduces operation when the loft is above 25°C and will resume ventilation when temperatures drop, helping to maintain good indoor air quality.
