I ordered a celebration cake to celebrate my birthday with family and friends.The customer service they offer is amazing.The cheese was delicious and very different from shop brought options.I have just ordered again today for our Easter celebrations, will definitely continue to use.

Helpful over the phone over choice of cheeses for a special dinner. Good customer service experience. Cheeses really delicious. Docking one star as courier’s idea of delivery was to balance the box on my garden gate and hope it didn’t fall off before I found it.

We used this company for our wedding ‘cheese cake’ . So many amazing compliments and everyone loved the selection of cheeses. We ordered a smaller version for our family Xmas dinner, again, such a great decision . Can’t wait for an other reason to use them. The cheeses are delicious

Fantastic customer service.
I bought some biscuits which were mostly broken. I received a very polite reply, without delay, and replacement with 2 boxes as goodwill. Cannot fault this company. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous Cheese and Great Expertise in one place. The variety of cheeses available is sublime. The young man who served us for our Christmas cheese supplies was so knowledgeable and his advice and guidance was well received. Well, TFCC just lost a previously loyal customer.

This is a tale of mistakes on both sides, but no admission of fault or redress by the Fine Cheese Co.

Basically - somehow the wrong postcode got onto the delivery address, the courier could not deliver and the cheese got returned to depot.

Now, one would expect at that point I would have been contacted and asked to re-check the address. In fact I heard nothing, I emailed about a week after the delivery date. When there was no response to that I rang up, now about a fortnight after the expected date and was told the fate of the delivery. When I asked what could be done to put things right, the answer was 'nothing', and I am down about £50 worth of cheese.

Their position is that they sent me a confirmation email and I should have spotted the incorrect postcode at that point and so they are not obliged to refund or replace.

So, yes, I apparently managed to put in a postcode with two characters different from the correct one and didn't spot it. That's on me. But other mistakes are:

- The Courier (DHL I think) could easily have found the address from the house and street name, even with the wrong postcode. Or used postcode-finding/checking software to determine the right address. They could also have provided tracking information or notification of delivery failure.

- Once they learned of the delivery failure, the Cheese Co should have contacted me to get the right address. They could also have put the correct status on their website - in fact the order was marked as 'Complete', which is why I held off chasing, I thought the package was in transit.

- They could have answered my email.

- They could have accepted some responsibility. Mistakes happen and good customer service involves shouldering your part of the blame.

We usually get our Christmas Cheese from these people, and occasional orders through the rest of the year. This appalling customer service means they have lost many years of future business.

I need to acknowledge that Fine Cheese have just now sent me a gift voucher to the value of my order.

I thank them for that. Case closed.

Very good quality cheese, nice packaging and good delivery. We always buy their cake for parties.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying their cheese (yet) but I have been a fan of their Toast for Cheese for well over a decade, if not closer to two.
Recently I had an issue with a couple of packs which I reported to them incase they were not aware of an issue but possibly seen a drip in sales. Within 15 minutes of sending an email, Murray had responded, apologised, wanted to know more, reported the problem upstream and arranged replacements. He then emailed telling me they were on their way and a time slot for the following day when they would be with me.
All companies have issues from time to time. The differentiator is the customer service they offer and The Fine Cheese Co. offers the good ol' fashioned, make you smile kind of customer support. Thanks Murray for restoring (if only temporarily I suspect) my faith in mankind.
PS. The chocolates were out of this world. I suspect a trip tk Bath might be in our cards.

Order a few times a year. Lovely cheeses, well wrapped and delivered on time. I had one delivery where a different cheese was delivered to the one I ordered, presumably due to the Xmas rush, but a refund was immediately given. So no issues there. Would love to visit in person and plan to next time we are down that way.

This is a amazing company which puts the customer first while offering wonderful Deli products. I had placed an order for sweet biscuits and one box was only just past the Best Before date. As it was meant as a gift, I asked for a refund, but accepted a replacement instead. This came today: not one box, but 2 replacement boxes! I certainly recommend this company for its great customer service, high standard and swift delivery!

Really excellent customer service from Murray at the Fine Cheese Company. Very quick response for a couple of queries and then called to check on my gift message. My mother in law loved her cheese and I thought it was good value. Totally impressed with the product and customer service. Thanks Murray!!

Really wonderful cheese and great service. We had a problem with the delivery with DPD and this was sorted out quickly and efficiently so that my brother in law has his present on time .. thank you!

I bought the raw sheep cheese. Absolutely beautiful, texture, tasty, looks it's got the lot! I haven't had sheep cheese like that since I lived in the Basque country!

We had an issue with one of the cheeses delivered over Christmas. However the excellent Katie mentioned in another review came through with a super replacement and it arrived exactly as promised. In short very good and able to make amends when there is a problem.

I would not recommend this Company. I requested certain cheeses and none of those selected arrived. I accept the fact that not all the cheeses I requested may not have been available but NONE - really!!!. Other than the names of the cheeses I have no idea of the origin. No fact sheets attached. Worse of all. 3 of the cheeses best by dates are the 22nd of November 2023. Which is the day after I received them and I received them at about 21:00 on the 21st of November (2023). NOT impressed.

Wow!!! We were blown away with our cheese wedding cake; it was everything was envisioned and more. The service was very professional, we were contacted to be advised one of the cheeses was not up to quality that the company would be happy providing us with. They offered us an alternative cheese to replace this one which was equally as delicious. The delivery of the cheeses went without hitch and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed all of these cheeses we had picked. We could not recommend the Fine Cheese Company more, 10/10!!! I ordered the Faye Cheese wedding cake for my wedding this Saturday (costing £220) and it arrived today and I'm so disappointed. Firstly it's delivered by DPD which is always a nightmare - they didn't even ring the doorbell, just dumped it on the path in the hot sun even though I was in waiting for it to arrive. Secondly there were aqssembly parts missing and although I was promised they would be posted out tonight, they won't be here intime for the wedding. I was told to use a cookie cutter instead so now I have to go and buy one from somewhere. The cake is tiny and how they think it's going to feed 55-80 I don't know so now my guests are going to be disappointed (and hungry) as well. They very cleverly only give the weights and not the dimensions and the cheese on the top tier is laughable - how we're supposed to get our cake topper on that I don't know. I'm going to Waitrose to see if they have anything more suitable. I'm sure it's very nice cheese but is it a wedding cake suitable for 80? No. I'm not going to let it ruin my wedding as it's too late to do anything about it now but it was a lot of money and it's definitely not worth it. I did telephone customer services but as is normal these days they weren't really interested.
