I regularly buy their products from my local cheese shop and they are excellent and well worth the expense. I haven't however, used the company directly. I can highly recommend their crackers especially the chilli and walnut flavours. And the fruits are wonderful - favourite is the damson.

Amazing company and customer service. I ordered a cheese and wine hamper for my parents as my dad had just finished radiotherapy. They rather kindly read my message and included a really lovely chocolate treat isn’t that hamper - such a nice touch. Surprised at the other reviews I called as had made a spelling mistake on my gift card and they edited and sent me a new confirmation email straight away.
Beautiful packaging too!

Ordered a hamper costing £90 for my son’s birthday. When it was unpacked, one of the cheeses had disintegrated and was all over the hamper and the other contents. I have contacted the company twice but received no response. Such a shame as we love cheese and I would’ve ordered from them again if I’d received a satisfactory response. Just a simple apology would’ve gone a long way.

I would not recommend this company. They sent perishable goods to the billing address rather than the delivery address and have refused to communicate afterwards. They now have the goods and my money. No refund given in 30 days, no response provided. I have had to raise a claim through Paypal to try and recover the £57.00 spent.

the cheese is very good but like so many have already said the customer service is shocking. I will find someone more deserving to buy from.

Fantastic! I am so chuffed, I have just received my order that was delivered by DPD. I knew when the parcel was going to arrive so felt reassured as it was for my friends birthday on BH Monday. The parcel was beautifully wrapped well packaged, really carefully done with a cool pad in it to keep them chilled. A little extra present was put in which was a lovely surprise. All the cheeses I asked for were there and all looked exactly like they did in the photo. All individually and carefully wrapped. Cannot wait to try them although they are incredibly hard to resist as they smell soooo good.

Since posting the below review the owner of the company has personally reviewed my concerns and contacted me to provide an explanation and apology. His explanation seemed genuine and the subsequent cheeses we received were delicious. Would purchase again.

Unapologetically sent me different cheeses of lower value than what I had ordered without contacting me first (and I was still charged the full price of the higher value cheeses). When I raised this as an issue, I was simply offered the difference in the value of the cheeses (an 80p refund!) and quoted their terms and conditions.

No acknowledgement was given to the fact that what was received was far from the standard expected from a “fine” cheese company, nor did they address my concerns about them dishonestly profiting from customers’ trust.

Products are mis-advertised on the website, in particularly the farmhouse cheddar – clearly mass produced, supermarket essentials quality and comes as a vacuum packaged block not the wax coated artisanal cheese it is advertised as on the website.

I have spent a lot of money with this company. On the last order but one they sent the order minus two bottles of wine. They said they had been let down by their supplier. I was happy to wait. To cut a very long story short part of the order still remains outstanding. So far they have repeatedly ignored my emails, ignored my requests via Paypal and are now ignoring Paypal itself. The service has been astonishingly bad. It takes a special kind of arrogance in the present climate to treat your customers so badly. Once this is sorted out [I'm relying on Paypal and not this company] I will not buy from them again.

My order arrived however they didn't send everything I ordered.

Numerous calls and emails to fix this have gone unanswered so assuming they don't care.

I have been making our bread for a number of years now and just before Covid 19 arrived on the scene l had stocked up on my usual Marriages organic bread flour, from my usual well known online supermarket. Nearing the end of my supply l had been desperately trying to get my hands on more bread flour. (Online, as we aren’t going to the shops) I was so relieved to find this cheese shop also sold bread flour, it’s not the organic one but it is Marriages bread flour and a lovely 16kg sack. As bread flour is now as scarce as hens teeth, l was delighted when the delivery arrived today, as l was told it would be when l placed my order.

Unbelievably good!

I don't tend leave a lot of reviews but had to on this occasion. Every aspect of the order was perfect.

- Firstly and most importantly the cheese in unbelievable. Handcut, carefully wrapped and extremely high quality. Expected them to be much smaller than they were considering the price. But they were huge blocks! I didn't weigh them - but I am 100% certain they were a fair bit heavier than the 250g I paid for.
- Friendly customer service. I was being a pain in the neck because I had left a gift purchase too late during COVID. So ended up calling twice to see if we could get the order any earlier. They managed to push my order to earlier than the expected delivery date and both people I spoke with were very friendly and polite.
- Presentation was lovely and came in a nice box and well wrapped so if you are planning on gifting it, the wrapping is basically done for you!

The cheese itself was unreal. King Richard III was one I've never tried and a lovely mild cheese. Gruyere was the nicest Gruyere I've tasted. Morbier was as nice as any I tried in France. Shropshire Blue was one of the nicest Blue Cheese I have ever tried. The only one I wasn't so keen on was the Renegade Monk. It was a bit too pungent for my liking but clearly that is a matter of personal taste. It is a highly reviewed cheese so it's evident it just wasn't suited to my palate.

Anyone who has said it's expensive must tell me where they can find these kinds of goods for cheaper! You can't compare it to the supermarket because it is a completely different level of produce. Our order included 5 massive blocks of cheese, 4 packs of artisan crackers/toasts, chutneys, and even a free cereal bar. All that delivered to your door free of charge for £50 in a pandemic is great value if you ask me.

I ordered an expensive selection of cheese and biscuits as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary during the pandemic lockdown.
The cheese arrived on the correct day but very disappointing to find 3 of the items ordered and paid for were missing from the order with no explanation, apology or substitution. Although this only accounted for a small part of the order, it marred the whole surprise and was upsetting.
I complained by email to the Customer Services email address which was the address from which my original order confirmation had come from. There was no response. I emailed twice more over the next week. Still no response.
I then sent a message via there Facebook page and at last got a reply with some excuse about my emails going to an unmonitored sales email address. Even though I sent all emails to their customer service address which they give out on all their advertising.
I was told I would get a refund, but no explanation why 3 items had been missing from the order. A very blasé attitude was taken.
Then someone else emailed me to ask what items were missing so they could send them. I gave the details again even though I had given them multiple times already. Then a few days later a refund appeared in my account.
A seriously shambolic service, appalling customer service response and spoilt what should have been a lovely delivery. I was made to feel that they did not care.

Before the crisis we would only buy 'nice' cheese in person so we could check the quality, but the website is really easy to use and the cheese was so good, we have already ordered a second time. Great selection/range of British cheese, as well as from other countries, and they also offer a nice selection of accompaniments. We will be ordering again.

Ran out of cheese during the lockdown (panic) and as I didn't want to go near a supermarket. I googled cheese delivery and found the website for this company. I ordered Cheddar, Parmesan and Red Leicester, all of which arrived today. Really easy to order, good pictures and description of the cheeses and they were delivered on the date stated, following social distancing rules.. The cheeses were well packaged and even had a cooler pack in the box. I've just had a little taste of each and they are all gorgeous, especially the Red Leicester, my favourite. A little expensive maybe, but you get what you pay for and these were definitely worth the money. I'll be ordering again, probably sooner rather than later if I dont stop picking at them ! Seriously though if you know a cheese lover, this is a good site to order some stonking good cheese.

I normally buy their products in various shops around London, and have been loyal customer for many years. I have placed a large website order well before Christmas. Huge box arrived, with many products smashed, even one metal tin was dented that is how much impact the products had. I have taken photos, of the damaged goods, and same date of delivery 11 December 2019, written to The Fine Cheese Company with all the order details, photos. I responded to the same email address from which the order confirmation came. I expressed my disappointment that I could no longer gift the products bought, or include them in hampers I was taking abroad. I got zero response. I have googled various email addresses for this company and added them to the chain, and forwarded my original 11 December 2019 email to them also. I followed up at least twice since then, including in the new year. I had absolutely zero response for the last 3.5 weeks. I find it so so disappointing that customers are treated by this company with so little regard and with so much disdain. I would NEVER recommend that anyone buys anything from this company online. PS an update to my 1 star review. I have upgraded it to 3 star, because finally not only the customer service, but also the owner got in touch with me after the above review. Fixed the issue, and reposted my order all anew without me asking for it. The customer service since then was fantastic. Good on them, and this time only, I am going to give them benefit of a doubt that it was glitch in their IT system so none of my emails over Christmas found their intended recepient and were stuck in some IT bermuda triangle.
