I had an outstanding flight on my first time flying Breeze Airways. While the flight was delayed, it wasn't their fault, since this was occurring with many airlines today. What I loved was the clean,... Toon meer

Good luck if you lose your luggage flying Breeze
I flew from Norfolk Virginia to Pittsburgh, when I arrived to Pittsburgh I went to my designated carousel waiting for my suitcase, everyone that was on my flight got their suitcase and left, I waited and asked representatives from another airline that were making sure that the passengers from another flight that was getting their luggage in the same carousel if they knew where my lost luggage could be, I was informed that Breeze doesn't have a lost luggage area at the airport like all the other airlines do, there was another Breeze flight coming in in a few minutes minutes so they suggested to wait for it at the other carousel where it was announced and that a breeze representative should show up to make sure everyone gets their luggage, well everyone got their luggage but no one from Breeze ever showed up. I went to the Departures desk upstairs just to find out that everyone had left, I spent over an hour around the carousel where my suitcase was supposed to arrive and trying to find any kind of information where it could be while my girlfriend waited for me in her car. I finally decided that my suitcase was lost and got on line through their messages system to report my lost suitcase assuming it will be found and brought to my girlfriend's place over an hour away drive just like most decent airlines do. But no! I get a message back saying that my suitcase was left at the carousel which was the biggest lie because I waited there over an hour until luggage from another airline was delivered at the same carousel, I walked all around that carousel several times and my suitcase was never left there! To make it worse I am told that I can go and pick it up at the Breeze counter and I am given a list of specific days and time frames when I can do so since that is the only times someone from Breeze will be there. After having to wait for another day because they were not there the day I got the text and driving back to the airport for over an hour when I get there they were booking a flight and there is a long line so I cut in and told the employees that I was there to get my suitcase and showed her the text message, you would think that someone immediately would be running to get my suitcase, but no! And I am asked to wait until they finish booking that flight before they can go and get it. After they finished booking the flight passengers for their next flight start arriving and they start booking them, at this point I have been there for about an hour so I got on line behind 6 passengers and before the line got bigger and when it was my turn, I showed the text on my phone again and demanded my suitcase and stated that I had waited for the previous flight to be booked and had been waiting for at least an hour. At this point an employee finally went across to wherever they had stored my suitcase and brought it to me. No apologies nothing ¿like if it was my fault and I had just left my suitcase there. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN and I use to fly with them all the time, now I look for another options even if it is going to cost more or take longer, at least I will be treated properly and will be able to call a number and talk to someone or go to their lost luggage area at the airport instead of dealing with what I did and not even getting at least an apology and an explanation of why my suitcase was not there instead of saying that it was left at the carousel which if it was then it came out at another carousel not anywhere close to the one where it was supposed to be.

The agent was as Liz and she was extremely helpful and helped me resolve my issue. She has amazing customer service
Mixed experiences
After having a seamless experience on a Breeze round trip between Norfolk and New Haven, I decided to book an early January trip to Charleston SC. Flight was to depart at 9:30 pm, which I wasn’t crazy about but Breeze has only one option for each route. Return was to be 4 days later because that is when they offer the return. On the day of departure I had multiple messages about delays, first mechanical (12:30 am departure) then within a half hour an updated departure base in general delays of 10:30 pm. They were super great about keeping me posted with many changed departure timesj. Finally by late afternoon the 11:34 departure was set, with boarding at 11:04. Since we live 90 minutes from the airport I planned to leave home around 8:15. Incredibly when I looked at my phone at 8 pm Breeze informed me FOR THE FIRST TIME that I must be at the airport no later than 9:15 after which TSA Norfolk closes (it was a Sunday night). How they could have failed to communicate this CRITICAL information with one of the MANY update emails is beyond me. Having never flied out of an airport where TSA isn’t 24/7 I couldn’t anticipate this. Needless to say we couldn’t make it to the airport in that amount of time. We had to cancel the flight - because the next Norfolk run was at the end of the planned trip - and our Airbnb. We are hoping the insurance we purchased for our accommodations will compensates
us. Adding insult to injury, they only provided flight credit, not money, for the cancellation, one half of which must be used by October of this year. SO here is my advice. Understand Breeze is spotty on service. Avoid routes that require a night flight. Research TSA hours in your chosen airport (since they fly to regional airports TSA hours may not be24/7). And, insure any accommodations you book and understand the circumstances that will trigger payment. And buy some good luck charms to give you some extra help!
How Breeze creates a problem for every solution.
I booked a two week vacation for my husband's upcoming birthday in February. We are going on a cruise from New Orleans, then upon our return, we were flying to Jacksonville to visit family in Florida, but really I planned a surprise party for him that begins at 6:00 p.m. We are arriving at the airport that morning at 9:00 a.m. from the cruiseport. We booked their 11:07 a.m. - 1:41 p.m. flight, which worked perfectly into our plans. In fact, I hadn't even began planning his party until after I booked the flight to know that we had plenty of time that day. Breeze notifies me via email that they changed our flight to one that departs over six hours later, and zero other alternatives. Or we could take a flight three days later, which is their next available flight. They do not have an actual person to talk to. ALL of their customer service agents are only available via text, using chatbots. They don't care about anything but profit!! Like an idiot, I booked with my Breeze Rewards, so that's all they are offering for the inconvenience. At least I purchased our Nicest Bundles via card, so we'll be getting $227 back. We are looking at flights on other airlines now, and of course, with very little time left, we may be able to find another flight within the time frame booked through Breeze, but of course, we're gonna pay - $820 one way from New Orleans to Jacksonville. It's obvious why the entire company hides behind text messages.
Flight was supposed to be to…
Flight was supposed to be to Greensboro. Flight was to Raleigh Durham instead, 8 hours late. They said it was bad weather but no other flights to the destination airport were affected. They did at least cover up to $150 in travel expenses, but just taking me to the right airport would have been much better.
Breeze airways Customer Service Non-Existent
Breeze airways Customer Service Effectively Non-Existent. They use emails and texts to say they can't help.
Avoid Breeze Airways at all costs...
Breeze Airways is hands down the worst airline I've ever had the misfortune of flying with—avoid Breeze Airways at all costs if you value your time, money, or sanity. From the moment I booked my ticket on Breeze Airways, it was a nightmare of hidden fees, deceptive pricing, and outright Breeze Airways scams that left me feeling ripped off. Their so-called "affordable" fares are nothing but bait-and-switch tactics; once you add in the Breeze Airways baggage fees and seat selection charges, it's more expensive than major carriers, and the service is abysmal.
The Breeze Airways customer service is nonexistent—rude representatives who couldn't care less about your issues, long hold times that lead nowhere, and no resolutions for Breeze Airways flight delays that ruined my entire trip. Their only customer service is a website page peoudly stating they have no one you can call, but only a # to text. Zero communication, no apologies, and Breeze Airways refused to compensate us despite promises on their website. The planes are cramped, outdated, and Breeze Airways maintenance seems questionable—seats that don't recline properly, dirty cabins, and a general sense of Breeze Airways unreliability that makes you wonder if they'll even get you to your destination safely.
Don't fall for the Breeze Airways hype; it's all marketing smoke and mirrors hiding a Breeze Airways disaster waiting to happen. I've flown budget airlines before, but Breeze Airways takes the cake for being the most incompetent, unprofessional, and Breeze Airways fraudulent operation out there. Save yourself the headache and never book with Breeze Airways—choose literally any other airline instead. Breeze Airways complaints are everywhere for a reason; this company deserves to go out of busines. s. Zero stars, and I mean it.I hope this business is non-existent with in the year.
Credit Card Fraud
I reported someone used my credit card to purchase a ticket on breeze. They verified my card and the person flying who purchased the ticket. They then informed me that I needed to contact the person who is on the ticket to get my money back. Are you freaking kidding me and this was all communicated via text to breeze. I have never flown breeze and I strongly suggest you run far as you can from this airline. I contacted my CC company also and CC took immediate action. Breeze took no action and let person fly.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. I was never able to speak to a human and policies are unethical
Abysmal!
Round trip flight severely delayed both coming and going. The worst was the sheer lack of communications. On the return flight, radio silence when waiting for 2 hours at the gate, then all passengers boarded and sat on the plane with the jet bridge up (15 minutes), pushed away from the gate and sat on the tarmac (45 minutes), got to the first stop and sat on the tarmac again for 40 minutes as no gate was available. Then at 1 a.m. Breeze pushed out the worst email, poorly formatted, ungrammatical, and barely coherent. I talked to other passengers who said they've flown this airline before and there are ALWAYS delays. I only purchased a round-trip ticket because it was direct.
Yes, all airlines have delays some time or another, but Breeze's total absence of professionalism makes me doubt their competency to operate a plane. If they are incapable or unwilling to make announcements in the event of delays, would they be able to figure out how to notify passengers in the event of an emergency??? Next time, I'll fly a real airline, even if I do have to make a layover. The time expended would still be shorter than attempting to fly on Breeze, which is so NOT a Breeze.
Horrible Customer Service Experience — Never Flying Breeze Again
If I could give zero stars, I would. Breeze Airways completely failed us this morning. My stepmother showed up to the Charleston airport 30 minutes before her domestic flight, only to find no one at the Breeze counter to assist her with check-in or baggage drop. We were stunned. Every other airline has a human being available at their counter — but not Breeze.
Even worse, there’s no way to speak with a live person—everything is done through an impersonal texting system. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told I was already speaking to one — via text. Completely unacceptable.
They claimed she missed the 45-minute check-in window, but she was there 30 minutes before departure and no one was available to help her. So basically, if you don’t arrive exactly when they want (or earlier), you’re out of luck — even if you’re standing there with no staff in sight.
This wasn’t just any flight — it was my stepmother’s birthday, and she had driven over an hour to the airport. She hadn’t seen us in over two years, and this was supposed to be a joyful reunion. We had booked her flight last minute because she originally planned to drive the full distance herself, but it was too much for her to do alone. So we bought her a ticket — only to have her stranded at the airport with no help, no options, and no accountability from Breeze.
They refused to rebook, refund, or take any responsibility — instead, they blamed us for not arriving two hours early (on a domestic flight!) even though their counter wasn’t staffed and they provided no warning or flexibility.
This was a devastating experience for our family. Breeze doesn’t deserve your business. Never flying with them again, and I’ll be sharing this story everywhere I can so others don’t go through the same nightmare
ALWAYS late on Arrival gate. Assigned Gate is NEVER Ready!
Breeze has some VG prices and some OK upgrades, but EVERY time (6 different times and 4 different airports), the ARRIVAL has always been delayed. Breeze is pretty good at departing a gate, but every time we have tried to land in JAX or LAX or Norfolk, VA or Portland, ME the assigned gate has NOT been ready to receive us! Every damn time!! Tonight we landed in JAX coming from LAX and we actually touched down about 8 minutes early.......but our gate already had a plane at it, so we were told to wait on the taxi-way. Then the plane that was at OUR gate had a mechanical issue, so we were told we would be "routed" to another gate. That never happened, as 50 minutes later, we were able to pull up to the original gate assigned to us. 50 minutes of just waiting on the damn tarmac. It also happened BOTH times we flew Breeze into LAX. It happened when we flew from JAX to Portland, ME.......and then damn if it didn't happen again when we returned to JAX. Really Breeze???? You keep passengers waiting 50 minutes (on this latest flight), and EVERY other time we have flown on Breeze? We like the pricing and the upgrades, but you have GOT TO correct this arrival gate crap!!!!
Just Gross: They Despise Their Customers
I can’t begin to delineate the negative experiences I’ve had with Breeze. Their app is deceptively designed—unless you can solve their secret puzzle on each page, you won’t be able to continue without an upcharge. If you need customer service for a left item, forget it. They won’t respond. They’ll delay your flight for hours then cancel it because they double-booked the plane. They’ll charge you more than Delta for rock-hard seats, inferior service and far far more problems. But profits? Through the roof. I hope they can sleep at night…but of course they can because their mansion is so big.
Reserved a flight on line and received…
Reserved a flight on line and received confirmation number. Showed up to check in a.. nd they failed tohonor it forcing me to buy another ticket at three times the price. Contested it and they denied relief
Scam-like practices with no option to…
Scam-like practices with no option to speak to an agent over the phone. Phishy text message responses. The owner and CEO uses the scammy method of operating at small airports where locals have no better option and takes advantage of them. Made a mistake to book once and will be last (large family, so loss for them). Advise to think twice before booking to make sure it is what you expect.
DO NOT FLY WORH THIS AIRLINE
DO NOT FLY WORH THIS AIRLINE. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Both my luggage were completely ruined on our return flight. There was no kiosk or representatives at the airport, we got in at 11pm. I FINALLY got a representative the next day who proceeded to tell me I had to inform them within 1 hour of receiving my damaged luggage. That wasn't possible as I mentioned there was no representative or kiosk at the airport we arrived in. The representative was also extremely rude and they stopped texting back with me as I was explaining my issue. This airline is a joke.
Breeze Airways = Bozo Airways
Breeze Airways = Bozo Airways.
I now know why David Neeleman got fired from JetBlue.
Traveling from Florida to NYC area for medical appointment. Flight is delayed multiple times. Note to management: stop lying to your customers. They are your life blood. I am unable to contact customer support or even book a second flight.
I would give a negative star for this…
I would give a negative star for this review if I could. There is only a text or email way to get answers and all you get are A.I. generic responses. No help at all. When you go online to check in, there are added fees and increased bag fees from what was posted while booking. I will never fly this airline again. It is corrupt more than I can describe.
Breeze Airways could be a game-changer, but...
Breeze Airways could be a game-changer. They’ve got modern, clean, efficient planes with comfortable seats and better-than-average snacks and drinks. But instead of setting themselves apart, they’ve chosen to torpedo their own reputation with abysmal customer service that makes even Spirit and Frontier look generous.
When you book a flight on Breeze, you’re rolling the dice and praying for a smooth trip. Because if something—anything—goes wrong, you’re stuck. No refunds. No meaningful compensation. No accountability. You might get a few expendable miles as a pity offering, but don’t expect a real resolution.
Customer service? Don’t make me laugh. There’s no phone support, just a painfully slow text-based system that feels designed to wear you down until you give up. Have a legitimate complaint? Good luck. Breeze isn’t listening.
It’s baffling. With just a shred of decent customer service, Breeze could leapfrog not just budget airlines but many major carriers, too. Instead, they’re sprinting in the wrong direction, dead set on proving that yes, things can get worse.
If only…
Forced me to miss my flight
They are supposed to accept checked bags for flights up until 45 minutes before departure. I got there 1.5 hours early, waited in line for 30 minutes for them to tell me that they stopped accepting bags and that I wouldn’t be able to check my bag. I still had an HOUR until my flight left. This caused me to miss my flight because I can’t just leave my bag at the airport. And the employee was fully yelling at me while I was trying to be calm and respectful and just ask why they stopped accepting bags 15 minutes early. They then proceeded to take off early, and there were multiple other people in line that missed that flight so I’m pretty sure they overbooked and closed the ticket counter early so they wouldn’t have to compensate people. The worst experience I’ve ever had with an airline, they looked understaffed which sucks but that is not an excuse to just disregard the rules.
