Really disappointed with my experience with Gliderol so far. Having spent a significant amount of money on a garage door, I was surprised to discover my order was being fulfilled by another company, Fort Doors, which wasn’t made clear when purchasing.

After missing the initial delivery window, my delivery was then cancelled at the last minute due to damage, despite having already arranged and paid for an installation team. I’m now facing further installation costs and additional storage charges while waiting for the door to arrive. The company have avoided resolving this - citing tight margins.

Communication has been poor, and the whole experience has left me questioning my decision to purchase from Gliderol.

I’m still awaiting delivery and hope they can turn things around, but so far the service has fallen well below expectations.

Called the very helpful sales team on 28th September 2026 at 10.30am. Ordered 2 replacement remote control units, delivered before 3pm on 29th September 2026.

I had a Gliderol insulated manual roller door installed a few years ago with intention of motorisation at later date, didn’t get round to it until now.
Checked parts required on website based on my knowledge, but called company to check if correct…glad I did!
Spoke to Cam who in turn spoke to engineers, turned out my door barrel was now obsolete!
Many emails back and forth with the ever helpful Cam, advised on how to measure new barrel size required, order placed, instructions sent.
All components arrived after new motorised barrel construction (just over a week order to delivery, amazing service!), took me an afternoon to remove old & fit new barrel to door and install controller, set limits & program remotes.
Now very happy with my motorised garage door!
I can’t thank the Gliderol team & especially Cam for their help & service enough! Would recommend their doors & service to anyone.

Very dismissive when I emailed about the frame being bent and some of the welds being quite poor on the corners. For the money I spent I expected a perfect door. Be aware they don’t actually make their own doors as mine came from fort doors.

I bought a insulated garage door curtain that came damaged on the edges . Gliderol diminished all responsibility , and the customer service sales manager in a round about way blamed me . The quality of Gliderol has become very poor compared to my previous door I had from them , and metal is so thin you could tear it like paper and wouldn't withstand much effort to obtain access . if you are looking to purchase , my advice is get a sample of a door slat and check before buying.

I ordered a replacement remote handset for my garage door, and it arrived the very next day.. what a brilliant and extremely fast service... Would I recommend... YES !

The team were incredibly helpful in resolving an issue with a door fitted many years ago at my parents house. Definitely went above and beyond.

If buying another door we would not hesitate to use.

Teleco controlled roller door (double garage width) installed on our new build 2019. The actual door is a fairly rigid sectional roller (not flimsy plastic) to not be a risk of storm wind damage, this was organised by Primoris our local Oswestry building company.
2026 experienced a problem with the control panel buttons not working.
Called the company on 0191 518 0455 and was put on the phone with Lee from Technical Support. He guided me through a method to open and close the door, suggesting the control panel was probably in HOLIDAY SECURITY MODE. Full installation and operation documents were promised and they arrived by email 24 hours later, courtesy of Donna.
The door control panel was in HOLIDAY MODE obviously inadvertently done by me. Followed the instructions manual and fixed.
This is excellent after 7 years since installation, no visit needed and no cost to me the customer.

After 1 year and ten days, after many issues, including during the installation. Finally the unreliable open close control failed, the door rolled up snapping supports, damaging frame and door.

I ordered two side-hinged insulated garage doors to replace my tired old up-and-over doors. Ordering process was easy and clear, doors arrived exactly when they said they would. The doors themselves are great construction, absolutely spot-on for size and very sturdy and secure. Fitting was easy as was putting the handles and locking mechanism together. Overall an excellent service.

1st class customer service by Rebecca. I needed a new part for my garage door but after reviewing the website wasn't sure which one. My phone call was answered in seconds. Rebecca asked me to take a photo of the door and email it in with my number to call back. She did so again with seconds. She guided me to the exact part I needed and it's now ordered.

Can't fault my experience. It was excellent.

Delivery, make sure you read the fine print!
You need a fully abled person home to help the delivery driver so his job.
I have taken 3 separate days off work for 3 separate guaranteed delivery dates reasons for delivery failures "damaged door" and " staff are sick".
Currently still waiting for the door.
I had pre paid my carpenter for installation which I will now have to pay again.
When I aired my concerns to the company they replied with it's not our issue.

Would I choose to use this company again?
Absolutely not.

Thanks for taking which should have been and expensive yet simple experience and nearly doubling my cost and adding stress and pressure.

We have a Glideroll garage electric roller door that is now well over 5yrs old, but (unlike many companies who are only interested in the initial sale/warranty) Glideroll are evidently committed to their products even after the warranty period has expired. Rebecca (Sales) arranged for support from Adam (Engineering) to help identify and correct a small problem with the electric remote. Very much appreciated.

Super service and maga strong doors. The staff were also helpful in every way. Everyone has commented on how good the door looks. Thanks to all involved.
