Never buy a Hamilton Beach product!

I bought a Hamilton Beach (HB) toaster oven from Walmart and it stopped heating after four months. HB wouldn't refund me because I didn't buy it from them directly. I assumed I bought a lemon, so I bought another one from Amazon, and paid for a 3-year warranty because I thought I'd be covered no matter what. After 3-1/2 months, that one also stopped heating. But because it was still under your 1-year warranty, I couldn't use the warranty I purchased. I called HB again, and the cust service agent said they could send a replacement. I said NO WAY because I knew that one would die also!

They offered me a different item, which I chose, but then I had to pay for shipping!! Are you kidding me?! I spent $198 for two toaster ovens, a 3-year ($13) warranty, and the $15 it cost to ship the different item. Why in the world would HB not cover your warranty simply because your customer buys it at their convenience elsewhere??? And how in the heck are customers supposed to know that? Do you have a sticker on the box stating that? No, of course you don't, which to me is highly deceptive to consumers. I wrote a bad review of your toaster and company on Amazon, and I plan to give another bad review on anywhere else I can. I’m guessing that most of your products are bought at department stores, such as Walmart, Macy’s Target, etc. So basically, all of those people will be ripped off by HB when their product dies for no reason whatsoever!

I will NEVER purchase another Hamilton Beach product due to your deceptive and unscrupulous business practices. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!

Repeated failures, zero accountability. Never again!

I’ve never had such a consistently disappointing experience with a brand. I’ve gone through multiple Hamilton Beach hot water urns, each one failed after just a few months. They’ve replaced the units with refurbished ones that also break, showing no intention of resolving the root problem. Their so-called warranty is useless once they’ve swapped a unit, even if the replacement dies just as fast.

I didn’t buy a commercial kitchen appliance to use it for six months at a time. That’s unacceptable. Their products are clearly faulty, and their customer service refuses to acknowledge any responsibility beyond the bare minimum. I’ve wasted time, energy, and money on a brand that doesn’t stand behind its products.

Stay far away. I will never buy Hamilton Beach again.

I am sharing my experience to warn others about the unacceptable service I encountered with this company. They lack a live agent, forcing all communication to be done through email, which is frustrating and inefficient. I placed an order on 5/15/25 and immediately emailed to cancel it just two minutes later. If I had taken the time to read the reviews before purchasing, I would have known better. I assumed a long-standing brand would have decent customer service; I was sorely mistaken.

After my initial cancellation request, I received no response, so I sent several follow-up emails. Eventually, I heard back from a customer service representative named SHELINDA, who responded in a condescending manner. She claimed that emailing more than once only complicates things and places my email at the bottom of the que, completely ignoring my cancellation request.

When my order finally arrived a week later, the coffee maker was wrapped in plastic, indicating it may have been previously purchased and returned. Upon opening the box, I discovered water underneath the plastic, which was absolutely unacceptable. I reached out to customer service and SHELINDA responds. I once again expressed my intent to return the product, only to be asked for the serial number and model number and photo. This request made no sense, as I had already clearly stated my desire to return the item and how can i take a picture of the water when it has been 2 days since I sent my email.

For two weeks, I have been caught in this frustrating back-and-forth regarding my return. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, SHELINDA denied my request. Her unprofessional attitude and dismissive responses have been infuriating.

Finally, after what felt like my 20th email, I pointed out that if I provided my order number, she should easily be able to access the serial number and model number of my items. Isn’t there a system designed for this? ShELINDA's refusal to assist and her petty demeanor highlight a deep lack of professionalism within the customer service department.

I urge everyone: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HAMILTON BEACH. SHELINDA must be held accountable for her gross negligence and disregard for customer needs. This has been an unacceptable experience from start to finish. BUYER BEWARE!

DO NOT BUY ANY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM HAMILTON BEACH — EVER.
We bought a refrigerator from Costco at the end of December, along with an extended 3-year warranty. Less than 6 months later, the upper section of the fridge has completely stopped cooling. When we contacted customer support, their response was infuriating — they demanded a series of photos, including one of the rear of the fridge.

This is a large, heavy appliance and pulling it out just to get a rear photo is both unreasonable and unnecessary, especially since we’ve already provided all relevant details. Still, they refused to move forward without it.

Honestly, my biggest mistake was trusting Hamilton Beach and not going with a reliable brand like Whirlpool or Samsung. Absolutely unacceptable experience — terrible product and even worse customer service. Wish i could have given a negative

Hamilton Beach Variable temperature kettle

My Hamilton Beach kettle started leaking after 4 years of use. I am happy to say that they honored the 5 year warranty and agreed to replace the kettle. It is.unusual to have sich a long warranty (one of the reasons I purchased it) So give them a 5 for that. However I had I to pay shipping costs for the replacement kettle, which ended up being a cheaper model, with none of the same features. Rating a 1 for that. I responded to their customer service in regards to my disappointment that they were not transparemt on the replacement they sent and I did get a quick response from them apologizing and agreeing to sending me a prepaid label to return the wrong model and that they would be sending the correct model. My communications with their customer service rep, I would say went well. Although there were a few back and forth emails, they were professional and quick to respond. I would rate them a 4 on that. So overall averaging out to a reluctant 4 They would have faired much better, if they had sent the correct model the 1st time and didn't charge the customer extremely high shipping fees to replace defective product

HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE!! Do not bother, this machine is #1 with "overload" and constantly plugging the stupid needle! Less than 3 months coffee daily and have had 27 flawless cups. This is absurd! The needle constantly clogs, the dispenser clogs and 1 of the 4 squares is ALWAYS clogged. This is after every single piece has been cleaned, wiped and dried!! AWFUL PRODUCT NEVER HAVE I HAD MORE PROBLEMS! Crappy design!

My Hamilton Beech Flex Brew coffee…

My Hamilton Beech Flex Brew coffee maker did not last four months. After an email exchange I was given a link from some company I never of before to provide my bank account information to pay $14.99 for shipping for a warranty replacement. I can't fathom how a legitimate company operates like a scam call center. The text messages I get regarding unpaid tolls stink of scam less than your so-called customer service.

Do Not Buy - Poor Ethics and no morals

I ordered direct from Hamilton Beach and they sent me used/opened box products.
The company does not have a usable customer service line and they ignored me until I filed a BBB complaint. Their offer to resolve was I send it back and eventually their engineers would look at the items and then if they agreed the dented, smudged, scratched up products were indeed used, they would issue a refund. I said that was not acceptable and they and the BBB pretty much replied with a gfyt. Maybe I will pack it up next trip out east and deliver it in person to them at their corporate office. Or maybe file small claims court and make them spend $$$$ on their atty filing a response for $100 worth of items.

We bought a Hamilton Beach air fryer…

We bought a Hamilton Beach air fryer last year. I found it strange that the pan kept sticking and it took several tries to get it back into the fryer, plus it was very slow to heat up. I didn't use it very often, but just after it ran out of guarantee I fried some chips. As I was eating them I thought a tooth had come out, but no ! It was a screw. And looking into the rest of the chips there was another screw. If I'd swallowed one or, or God forbid my child had swallowed one , that just doesn't bear thinking about. So we decided to send it back and get our money back. Beware..if you try to send it back you not only have to pay the postage but also the postage for the new machine ! Instead, we threw this dreadful machine into the bin and bought a different make, which is superb.Ours was frankly very dangerous and I'm appalled this could happen. Avoid at all costs. It was lethal.

Scam Company Won't Fulfill Warranty

This mixer worked well for a year and a half. The numbers on the dial quickly wore off, but overall, it worked well. However, it recently suddenly broke (the motor still runs but the paddle area doesn't rotate) and despite its alleged 5 year warranty, Hamilton Beach has done absolutely nothing to fulfill this warranty.

Their customer support phone number only works 50% of the time (even if you call within business hours, half the time it just tells you to check the website and hangs up), their customer support email goes unanswered. I spoke with one of their agents and they told me all comparable mixers were out of stock (despite every single colour being in stock online), and they tried hard to have me do the exchange for the mixer of lesser value in their line. I declined and they told me to contact them in a week and see if they're back in stock.

The next time they actually picked up the phone when I called them, they once again pushed extremely hard to get me to take the mixer that was half the price of the one I actually paid for. I once again declined, and this time they told me I should call again in 6 weeks, but even then said the mixers might still not be in stock (again, despite them being in stock this whole time on the website). They refused to do any kind of backorder or fulfillment from their Amazon store. When I asked to speak with the manager, they said they were busy. I asked for a callback, they said they don't have the ability to do that. When I said I would wait on the line, they said they were going to hang up now.

I would've never bought this mixer if I knew they wouldn't stand behind their products. I feel like this company is trying to scam me by forcing me to pick a mixer of lower value despite the same models being in stock.

Hamilton Beach M16 Series

I have a Hamilton Beach, 6-speed Burst, M16 Series, Model 62695R, and the beaters have been misplaced.
On February 9, 2025, I emailed Hamilton Beach to request information on replacement parts (beaters).
On February 10, 2025, I received a response from ‘Kenneth @ HB-he sent me to their website to find the part through their search.
On February 10, 2025, I responded that the Item # was not found & asked for a compatible part number from HB, Amazon, or anywhere. I gave HB the model #’s #62695 & 62695V & asked if they would fit. I also stated that I couldn’t believe they stopped making beaters for my mixer model.
On February 10, 2025, I received my final response from ‘Kenneth’ @ HB stating, “Compatible parts will not be offered”.
Seriously, Hamilton Beach! You need to do better for your customers! I ordered beaters from Amazon, and as I expected, they do not fit.
I will NEVER buy another Hamilton Beach product again. You have proven to me that you have no regard for your customers.

Garbage

Bought a coffee machine with the drip and single cup. Broke down within 3 months. Tried returning it to walmart and they only give 30days on coffee makers. Will send out a new one through warranty but want me to pay $40 for shipping! Why would I pay $40 for a machine that might breakdown again? The machine probably doesn't even cost them $40 to make. I will spend my $40 elsewhere thanks... I have asked about other options like pick up or rebates and nothing..... Garbage products not worth anymore money.

I bought a Hamilton Beach Bold Brew 12…

Just an update 3 weeks later never was contacted by customer service, after 3 request. Says it all. I bought a Hamilton Beach Bold Brew 12 Cup Programmable Drip Coffee Maker, Stainless Steel Accents, 49634 Was missing a part. Hamilton Beach has NO customer service number to talk to a real person, it directs you to there web site. Which tells you to email. Well 3 emails later and NOT one reply. The worst customer service. I will never buy a Hamilton Beach product again. When a company sells a product a refuses to offer customer service when under warranty I am not sure how that is even legal. I would not recommend any product from a company that will not stand behind the product. Very disappointed with Hamilton Beach.

Worst experience

The most ridiculous experience a customer can have ! They send you a link to choose a replacement for their broken badly design product but everything on the link is out of stock !
Never buy any of their products as they are badly designed and their customer service is literally a joke .

Just the worse

I have a slow cooker, coffee pot, blender mixer and waffle maker all Hamilton Beach and every one of them that have silver metal all rusted within a couple months. Just got the blender and nothing locks into place..used for first time yesterday and the plastic blender flew off the base. I had to hold it the entire time while mixing. I buy these because they are cheaper but it would be more cost efficient to just buy a better brand. My poor slow cooker and waffle maker look like I dug them out of someone's trash due to the rusting. I barely used either one... Never again will I buy Hamilton Beach

I bought a hamilton beach blender that…

I bought a hamilton beach blender that did not work the first time I used it. I tried to make a smoothie for breakfast. The motor was on by the blades did nothing. Finding an alternative or method for refund or exchange has been difficult.I have tried all the suggestions given in the manual. Nothing has worked. No response at customer service.

11 cu ft freezer, great product (so far), awful service

11 cu ft freezer (garage ready)...product working great so far (7 months or so), but customer service is horrible. they just couldn't respond to email in timely fashion--had to resend multiple times, then they said someone would call--why not just respond to my simple questions (that were clearly articulated in the first place) via email? I missed their call, and Gab left a terribly inaudible message. so, yes, had to send ANOTHaER email...which they NEVER followed up on. I had questions on clarifications regarding their manual--some phrases were clearly translated from non-English...tsk, tsk...and I guess I'll have to make due with my own interpretation. v sad....:-(

leaving 5 for product and 1 for service, so averages to review of 3.
