From the off..... After advertising hgv training in Sheffield, I was sent through some dates for my lessons and test in Lincoln? Could not get a straight answer from anybody, some telling me they no longer used the test centre in Sheffield, some telling me they never did! Utter misrepresentation on the website, nothing but a money making scheme, way over the odds compared to going direct elsewhere. The 'guaranteed job' ar the end of training is an absolute waste of time, managed to luckily find work for myself, after have no contact from manpower(agency). Anybody thinking about taking a gamble with these lot, just save your money and go direct through a training centre. Also had my previous review removed. Truth hurts

I have investigated your case and would comment as follows.
Our training partners are continuously reviewed and if necessary removed from our network. They may be removed for several reasons, including pass rates that do not meet our required standards or the availability of courses. It does sometimes take time to update our website and we do hope that any removal is temporary as we work with our partners to retain them. This was explained to you on several occasions and we did in fact arrange your training in Sheffield.
Therefore, I do agree that initially you were offered dates in Lincoln, however you did complete your training in Sheffield.
You state that Manpower have not found you a job. Manpower or any of our partner agencies will not be in touch with you until you have passed your test and acquired your license. I am sure that you understand that this is because they would not be able to secure any interviews until you are in possession of your license.
I see that you acquired your license at your second attempt on 14th November and at the time of you posting this review a period of one week had lapsed. I do not believe that this is an excessive time for you to have not heard from an agency.
I do not know why your previous review was removed, it could have been either because we were unable to identify you as a customer, because it was slanderous or inaccurate. However, we do not remove reviews - Trustpilot investigate and review any "flagged reviews" and remove them if they believe it does not reflect a genuine experience or is not from a genuine customer.
It is of course disappointing that you have deemed us to be con artists as that is not the case.
We do wish you the very best of luck with your new career.

Great team to work with
Very organised team. I paid in 2 halves, that's what I needed. It worked out really well. HGVT organised my medical and multiple theory tests. I just had to confirm whether or not I could go on the 12th, 14th or 16th etc. The booking team at HGVT were helpful and encouraging. And then they arranged the practical with 14 days notice.

A really effective system for passing your test!
The whole system they have is brilliant. You literally follow the training steps online for your theory and hazard perception. If you do an hour a day then you should fly through the Theory Test on the day. Then when it came to the lorry driver training, the centre I used at Purfleet was excellent. I was driving for 4 hours every day for 5 days around the same routes that the test was conducted on the day. Whilst the routes are still challenging, it just made me so much more confident and competent when it came to taking my test. I would highly recommend HGVT & Robinson Training Centre in Purfleet (where I just did 5 days of driver training) if you are serious about passing your test and obtaining your Class 2 Rigid or Artic license. Thanks Demetrios for everything!

My experience with HGVT has been a smooth and easy process, from the start as I was enquiring, to passing my practical. The staff have been lovely throughout and cannot fault them one bit. They are passionate for the candidate they’re helping and are willing to help. I would happily recommend to anyone who is looking to do any driver training. A COMPANY THAT CAN'T BE TRUSTED

James Clifford the CEO of this company and his employees (who are unfortunately manipulated by James) are all very unprofessional awful individuals.
I was transferred from class 2 to class 1 training for my HGV training by manpower however straight after the good news James the CEO of HGVT and the Driver academy group interrupted and said I will stay on class 2 with an excuse that class 1 training is not available, anyways long story short I told 2 of my friends to call in and see if this is true, my friends called in and ended up getting signed up to class 1 the same day James told me class 1 is not available, so I pulled him up on it but he was still adamant that class 1 (thinking I'm stupid) is not available when I told him my mate just called in and got signed up to class 1 hgv training... He ended up getting upset as the truth hurts, you've lied to me, and I've caught you! class 1 is available! you can't carry on lying from here when you've been caught red handed mate, this chap is totally for himself and is all about himself, does not care about anything except himself. Selfish individual, I ended up withdrawing my training with him and this was the best decision I made, I advise all to go for different companies for their training as a company like this, cannot be trusted. A company who only care about their own interest.
UPDATE: ended up getting my C + E licence elsewhere, much better companies out there then this bogus company

Good morning,
Firstly may I apologise for the delay in responding to your review - I have investigated your comments and your training record.
I can see that you were initially awarded a fully funded place on round 1 of the Government Bootcamp training programme, but unfortunately you were withdrawn half way through your learner journey due to non engagement with the team meaning that we were unable to book you for your practical training element. I believe that you had travelled abroad mid way through your training.
You were given a second opportunity to complete your training on round 2 and were assigned a pathway which you accepted and agreed to. You subsequently requested a pathway change which we were unable to accommodate
You say that friends applied and were given the pathway that you had requested, however you have not provided any details to us for us to confirm this.
I would also draw your attention to the fact that the process for applying for a bootcamp place is a little more complex than "ringing up and being given a place on the same day". There are several stages of screening to pass through before any place is offered or secured.
I can also categorically confirm that at no point have you spoken to James Clifford, you actually spoke with a team leader.
You decided to withdraw from the funding training delivered by us because we were unable to accommodate your pathway change request after you had agreed to commence training on pathway A.
May I assure you that we have delivered hundreds of courses successfully to happy candidates and in no way are we "bogus".
I would like to congratulate you on completing the training and obtaining your license and wish you the very best of luck with your future career.
