Worst experience I have ever had buying…
Worst experience I have ever had buying a car from Hilton Garage, zero personal touch or any real competence whatsoever it’s just lazy to the point of exhaustion to say the least. Half the employees aren’t even working just chatting around, not to mention they don’t know anything about the car to begin with nor want to know anything. They constantly forget to fill in the paperwork too and my car had multiple faults after I purchased it of which it took me a long time to get reimbursed for these issues even though I was still very much in the warranty period. It’s safe to say I will never be buying a car from this truly awful garage ever again. If you want a smooth, easy and professional experience buying a car do not go to this garage. I could do a better job at selling a car than anyone working at this place.

Maxton, we'll take fair criticism on board, but some of what you've described doesn't sit right with us and we want to address it directly.
On the atmosphere and staff engagement — we process over 1,300 cars a month from a single site, and the environment reflects that scale. It isn't a boutique forecourt, and we don't present it as one. That said, staff being visibly unengaged with customers is something we'd want to know about specifically, because a general description doesn't give us anything to act on or investigate properly.
On the faults and reimbursement — if issues arose within your warranty period and were eventually resolved, the process did work, even if it took longer than it should have. We'd push back on the suggestion that this reflects incompetence across the board; warranty claims involve third parties and timelines we don't always control. If the delay was unreasonable, that's a fair criticism, but the claim of "zero competence" isn't one we'll accept as an accurate picture of how your purchase was handled end to end.

Sale went well for a Peugeot 5008
Sale went well for a Peugeot 5008, Hana was very polite and made the process easy. However all went a bit wrong from there.
Turned up to collect the car, I was taken to a side portacabin that resembled a sixth form common room/airport duty free. Young staff members were spraying each other with aftershave, and sat around with their feet in the table eating their breakfast at the desk.
I was given my keys and literally 5 minutes after leaving the forecourt am engine warning light came on, despite the vehicle apparently going through various checks first. I also noticed one of the seats was still ripped which they said they would fix before handing the vehicle over.
I came back in the car and the reception staff couldn't be interested and just waved me to a service centre where I stood around for about 15 minutes as the only staff member was on the phone dealing with what seemed like a complaint.
I handed the keys back, was told they had no courtesy cars and I was left without a car or my 16k I had paid. I ended up having to call a cab and pay to get home.
After a week of not hearing anything I chased them up, to be told it will be any day.
After not hearing anything again, I called up to say the fault had been fixed with a filter, but would now be another week to fix the seat as they had not done that at the same time.
Again no calls received so I had to chase them as the time went longer than stated, and finally I had a call to say it was ready.
During over 2 weeks without my car or my money, they never had a courtesy car to give me.
The almost 3 weeks without it also counted as part of the initial 28 day guarantee, despite the fact I had driven it less then 3 miles. Although they sell extended warranty, they are at selected garages, none of which were near me.
After just a few more miles driving I noticed whistling coming from a wheel, I had this checked elsewhere and the pads are already below minimum. These clearly weren't checked either as part of the presale as I had done less than 50 miles in it.
The whole process has been a bit of a joke.

We apologise for your experience in the collection cabins. We have purchased a new collection site and have been busy renovating it to provide a more comfortable, dedicated space for customers, away from a crowded showroom. We recognise that the temporary arrangement is not at the standard we would like, which is precisely why we are investing in these improvements. The staff behaviour you describe is also not what we expect during a customer handover.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the vehicle and appreciate the inconvenience of being without it while the work was completed. To explain the timing of the seat repair, our trim specialist cannot always work alongside the mechanics. Trim repairs can involve paints, adhesives and extraction equipment, which require suitable working conditions and a separate workspace. This means the mechanical and trim repairs sometimes need to be completed separately, even while the vehicle is with us.
We appreciate that you would have preferred everything to be completed sooner. If you would like us to look into the brake concerns or anything further, please contact our aftercare team so we can review the findings and assist you.

Poor phone contact
Saw a car ideal for our grandaughter, took the model,registration and price.
Couldn't find the car so went to reception who explained a lot of the vehicles were held down the road,after giving the reg the car was there 15m or so.
The whole experience is good and it has a really positive energy. Would have given 5stars but the call back system is very poor,my husband was told he would be contacted the following day but that never happened. We lost count how many times he rang in,he was left on hold for over 15mins then the same again but they cut him off. Good job we wanted the car and persivered, the phone system needs some work but apart from that everything else perfect...

Max was excellent - rather than trying to ‘sell’ us he showed that he really understood sales by listening carefully to his customers’ needs and recognising how important am individual approach is in gaining a customer’s trust. We ended up with the perfect car for our needs with hassle free trial, reservation and collection.

Great buying experience
