I went to the Flo signing. I enjoyed the event, the actual performance, and the signing was great, I got to have about a 1.5 minute conversation with the band and got a photo with them so I feel like I got my monies worth. The reason I am scoring it low was because in the day we received an email to say the event was changing the start time from 5 to 6 due to scheduling conflict, and then I got there for when doors opened at 5:30 and we didn’t start to enter until about 5:50 but there was no communication or updates. Also it was meant to start at 6 and it didn’t start until 6:30 after it was already pushed back an hour. Again there was no updates so we were just waiting around with no idea as to when the band would turn up and the event would start. But the parts which were what I expected them to be were great and for the price it was good, the signed poster was personalised which I appreciated

Everything from the ordering of my purchase to collecting it from your store. The Sales Assistant who checked my ID and gave me the item. Everything was pleasant and professionally done. The service was impeccable.

I tried to get in touch with anyone to discuss details about my intended purchase.
You have no dedicated customer service number and I was calling various stores to speak to anyone.
I was on constant hold and eventually always disconnected. I don't feel I will want to deal with HMV again and only persevered because the purchase I was making was a present. If it were for myself I would not have bothered. Not a good outcome to my experience

The sales assistant used his initiative to check in the drawer below the cd display as sometimes further cds are stored there. When he couldn’t find the cd we wanted he suggest we order from the artist directly and get it delivered to HMV! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 now that’s someone who went the extra mile vs just saying, sorry we are sold out

HMV online is usually pretty good.

I went to your store in person at Oxford street and had to wait forever to be served because one of the sales assistants downstairs was blowing up a balloon instead of serving me on the till. After a while, he asked me if I was waiting to which I replied I had been waiting some time.

Poor customer service; not even an apology made for the wait. I have deducted a star for this.

The lady we dealt with couldn't have been more helpful and provided great customer service. We were looking for something specific which needed to be ordered. The till malfunctioned, but she stayed calm and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name but she is a credit to HMV.

I went to the HMV Oxford Street’s Spider-Man fan event today, after queueing for over two hours, I watched two white customers—including one who had been standing behind me in the queue—be allowed into what staff described as a “photo activity”, while I was singled out, stopped, and told very firmly that I was not allowed to participate. As a person of colour, I left feeling I had been treated differently because of my race.
When I demanded an explanation from the manager, he refused to listen. Instead, he dramatically shouted, “Don’t touch me!” after I accidentally brushed his arm while gesturing during the conversation. It felt like he was more interested in escalating the situation than resolving a legitimate customer complaint.
To make matters worse, one member of staff openly told me that staff could say whatever they wanted to customers and that customers simply had to accept it. I’ve genuinely never encountered such an arrogant and disrespectful attitude towards customers.
The entire Spider-Man event was incredibly poorly organised. Thousands of people queued in the street for hours, only to leave without seeing or receiving anything because of the terrible crowd management. It felt less like a fan event and more like a marketing exercise designed to generate publicity and sales, with little regard for the people who had waited for hours.
If your idea of customer service is using a hugely popular IP to attract crowds, creating chaos, treating customers with contempt, and making people leave feeling discriminated against, then this is the place for…………

Excellent service and an atmosphere perfect for browsing

My daughter and 2 friends attended the Spiderman event today 23/7/26 arriving at 6am. Only few in front of them. When sraff were handing out limited wristbands for being able to get a goodie bag they past my daughter and her 2 friends so one of them asked if they could have wristband as they passed to carry on giving them out to the staff was very rude Absolutely disgusted . All 3 are neurodiverse and massive fans and made the effort and we're enough early as they wanted to get a wristband.

Very easy to order online - arrived at store within a couple of days - kept up to date throughout. Collection process was simplicity itself

Great value and service

Was helped by members of staff to order a vinyl that was not in store, given the option for the offer, and served very quickly.
The item was delivered super quickly as well

The order was carefully allocated to my address, the item securely packaged and delivered safely in only just two days from purchasing 10/10

My order was received in the timescales promised and I was able to pick up in store, the staff there were efficient, helpful and courteous.
