Great customer service
I wish customer service was like that for every other company I deal with. I needed to cancel something and Chelsea was very understanding and did exactly as I asked straightaway - no arguing to keep me on or additional hard selling. For that reason, I’ll consider Home Direct FIRST for any appliance cover. That was the first time I called them, and it was a great first impression.

Horrendous company
Horrendous company, avoid using at all costs. Washing machine broke, never came to fix it but auto renewed a the policy on an already broken washing machine, but whilst on hold to them they state they can only take out/renew a policy if the insured item is on full working order. Sounds fraudulent that they have done this against their own guidelines. Customer services made out I was lying, refused to deal with the issue, Cowboy scam artists, use at your own peril.

You called to claim back in May 2026. We just needed the model number of your washing machine to book you in for an engineer visit. You said on that call you would call back with that information, but didn't. We attempted to call back again 10 days later, but again no reply.

Excellent customer service – highly recommended
I contacted HomeShield Direct on behalf of my uncle, as I hold Power of Attorney. Tamzin was extremely helpful, understanding and efficient, clearly explaining the policies, cancelling those no longer needed and arranging refunds where appropriate.
She made a difficult situation much easier to deal with. Excellent service and I would highly recommend them.
