I needed a Medallion Signature Guarantee for some US shares I wanted to sell, which were in my maiden name. I spent a considerable time Googling and researching how to do this, getting more bamboozled and confused in the process. When I found IWC Probate Services online, they were miles from where I lived and I had never heard of them. I was very nervous, but I needn't have been. One of my ID documents needed certifying by a solicitor and IWC even contacted them, to double-check the legitimacy of the certified documents. As soon as I made the online payment to IWC, ahead of submitting all my paperwork, Loren immediately confirmed receipt of the funds. Loren's efficiency, customer service, professionalism and industry knowledge has been invaluable. If you are reading this, unsure as to whether or not to use IWC Probate Services, then believe all their 5* reviews and believe me when I say I cannot rate them highly enough. The support offered by Debbie of IWC probate services has been fantastic. Detailed and prompt replies have made the experience really quite easy. Initially I'd been trying to handle shares from my father's estate myself to save money but, amidst everything that was going on, and due to the complicated nature and multiple unknowns of dealing with US shares, I'd tried to make progress for a number of months with limited success. It had been stressful and constantly weighing on my mind. The cost is not insignificant.. but looking back now I am more glad than ever that I did pay for assistance as I'd still be struggling and stressing about the whole thing now without the help. As it is.. things are mainly cleared up, and I know that Debbie will be on hand to help with the final stages. Would strongly recommend them if you are bamboozled by the paperwork and complications of transferring US shares.

My NLV application started in October and was eventually approved in December. Throughout this time there have been ups and downs. However Juan Oliva at IWC has been very helpful. I'm very pleased with Juan and IWC's backup all the time I've been working with them.

The expertise of the agent and her support through all the process of transferring the shares inherited from in 2001 passed away uncle, is very good.
Since 2001 this transfer was not possible by Computershare in the US.
In the end after I have contacted IWC in the end of 2021, and after a very good Agent from IWC handled this issue, it was possible to realise this transfer in September 2022. in Dec 2022 it was possbie to sell these shares by Computershare.

I particularly recommend IWC to anyone who has little or no idea of the complexity of realising Canadian shares, escheatment, and forfeited dividends.

Very pleased with the whole process. It involved an updated Will for my house-bound father who has early signs of dementia. Unlike local companies I approached, IWC were very happy to do a home visit and approached the whole process with care, understanding, efficiency and professionalism.
