Luckily, I had a great experience. The
Company is so old it didn't occur to me to check reviews.
I was looking for a specific dress and the manufacturers site showed sold out.
To my surprise, they were available on the JC Penny website.
Both colors I wanted, and both in my size.
Received both three days later on my doorstep. I'm very pleased.

Unresponsive when it comes to emails about order. Order never received, the slow customer service rep charged my card twice instead of processing a refund and now I have to wait 10 days for a refund. WTF why does a refund take 10 days! This store is terrible.

I placed an order at the store for 3 cotton sweaters as a Christmas gift and they were supposed to be available at the store at January 6. I told the cashier I would be out of the country until January 15. She told me I had 30 days to pick up the order after available. In January 12 I received an email cancelling my order because I didn't pick up the order. No respect for me, or even for the rules they made. In just 6 days, the order was cancelled.

I purchased a puffer jacket on-line I just picked it up today. This Jacket is amazing for the price. It is everything I hoped it would be. The shipping took a little longer than stated but only by a few days. Great coat.

Been waiting for a package since12/272024 haven't received it yet never had this problem before. Where's my package????

I received a cardigan sweater as a Christmas gift. It was a medium. I wear a large. I went the crumby little Mankato Minnesota JCP to return it today. I liked the sweater and wanted to exchange it for an equal in my size. The crumby little Mankato Minnesota JCP didn't have anything at all on the shelves. The cardigan had the tag on it. I didn't have a gift receipt. It shouldn't matter. With modern technology everything is tracked. Just scan the bar code on the tag and it gives you the time date location and price paid for the item. The unattractive clerk gave me the lowest price on the item within the last 90 days; $10.39. She refunded me with a gift card, which I used to purchase a cardigan on line for three times the amount of the gift card. JCP cons their clientele and still goes bankrupt? They need to just close.

This is one of the last department store chains left. It's nice to actually go there and see the products I'm shopping for. The stores are always under-staffed. It can be difficult to even get purchases checked out. I shop here for clothing, shoes, linens, jewelry and perfume. Some of their products are not the best quality.

I know that I am just one simple individual in this universe but I pray that you have a kind heart and soul. I understand I am not God or someone with high power/abilities however attending school and reading books I learn more stuff as I grow in life. Allow me to get straight to the point with stating that I recently got hired to work in one of your many locations in the USA for JCPenney. My father is a doctor and mother is an attorney both in the military so growing up with values and old fashioned I understand that we must all treat everyone with respect and kindness. My only request is to remain anonymous due to what I’m about to let you know because I understand everyone has their own way of running things but there is some things I have noticed here at work that should be taken in consideration. For example there is an LOD that always hide in the back instead of being in the sales floor taking care of customers or assisting fellow staff. The LOD has favorite personnel because she allows few coworkers slack around or be on the phone talking or using work hours for personal use. Also there has been times that the LOD when cashiers or recovery team or anyone calls them thru the walky or page the LOD she ignores the call. I know there was a visit from the district manager of this store however I feel that if the district manager were to talk with us one on one and get our perspective perhaps you all can see what’s going on in this place. When store manager is around everything is going smoothly but when she leaves the LOD does things that are unprofessional or inappropriate. Another thing is she would be blasting songs that are non family friendly and her actions are driving customers away and making comrades at work feel unhappy. The one thing that I will have to say is that a fellow employee member overheard that the LOD said that as LOD she would tell someone that they should just stop to exist in this planet/world. Now I know many younger generations like myself say stuff randomly and sometimes things can be misinterpreted. Being the time of holidays my concern is that she shouldn’t say something like that because in this timeframe of the years many people could take that what is told to her or him and sometimes can cause depression or anxiety or can cause someone’s life to be affected. My essay is to say that please as a human person in this galaxy take a few minutes of your life to check on everyone and make sure everyone is safe and happy and healthy. Perhaps maybe JCPenney has a different way of running things at this location but there are things here that are at least to my knowledge not work compliance. I have noticed that the LOD she does behave intimidating to customers and associates to assure things are running her way not the JCPenney way. I applied here at JCPenney because I was told that it is a good experience but I think maybe this retail store department has a different type of good experience in their manual. I wish you a wonderful merry Christmas and new years I will pray that perhaps you will personally visit this store location even the CEO just to get your an insight understanding of what’s going on. I’m not asking for anything at all just looking out for every human being because at the end of time we are all people.

I bought a set of earrings for my wife for Christmas that I wanted to buy for years but JC Penny was the biggest mistake. I bought the over 3 weeks before Christmas and the pick up date in the store never happened, I called customer service and all they had to say is that if it does not ship in the next two days we will refund you.WHAT This is a special gift.Customer service SUCKS and very rude.I have shopped JC Penny for over 55 years and now will never shop any one of there stores again.I opened a new credit card with them and now I closed it.Better places to spend my money.The CEO of Pennys needs to be FIRED!!!!!

Synchrony bank master card treats people like criminals. I canceled my JCPennu card. I didn't have my card with me. They had me put in my SS# 6 times. Then they wanted a pic of me on my phone. OH NO! THEY CAN KEEP THE HIGH INTEREST RATE

We were told in the jewelry department to go to cosmetics to check out since there was quite a line in jewelry and no one in cosmetics. The girl in cosmetics was very rude - not one other customer in that area and she bulked at checking us out because she only wanted to sell cosmetics. She whined the whole time about checking us out and shouldn't be doing it.

There is an assistant manager named Rachel Petty that is unprofessional and uneducated she is giving JCPenney an awful image and representation. Her treatment towards people is not acceptable she also has favoritism in helping certain people. Please if corporate executives can help solve this issue I be grateful because one should be able to shop at any JCPenney and feel welcome and comfortable in shopping at any place

JC Penney customer service outright lied to me about cancelling an order, then about fixing the fact that the order was going to the wrong address after it was cancelled and finally told me there was nothing they could do about the incompetence of their customer service team or the fact that I never received my order because it was shipped to as address over 1,000 miles from where I live. I had to cancel the charges through my credit card company. A complete lack of customer service is why they are failing. After being a loyal customer for nearly 50 years I will never order from them again. I just don’t have time to make six phone calls get no results or satisfaction for a glitch in their system!

Years ago I purchased Arizona t-shirts from JCP. When I saw them on sale I bought 10 shirts to replace the old ones. When I got them home I washed & dried them without looking closely at them. When I wore one the next day I was sooo disappointed. The fabric was very thin and the size small was much larger than it should be - more like a medium-sized. It was obvious when I looked closer the shirts were far inferior to what I bought years ago. So sad JCP has declined in quality.
When I went to return them JCP refused to honor the return because I washed them. My message to all is don't wash their junk until you are real sure you want to keep it and watch out for bad quality products.

For two items one an air mattress at $99.00 And the other, large ziplock bags for $2.99. My total I believe was $107.00. I then paid $9.99 for same day delivery. At the time I placed the order both items were in stock and available.

Well JC Penney canceled the air mattress for some reason and delivered the $2.99 bags for the $9.99 same day delivery. Which totaled $13.42 - But, they charged my credit card $151.66
Because, when you place a same day delivery they charge you an extra 25% incase they substitute your item. So, they charged 25% extra of the original purchase. But, I selected no substitutes.

Well I had to call JC Penney and get everything corrected, they gave me back the $9.99. And a 10% discount on a reorder
of the air mattress.

The problem is I had to order the new air mattress through the online representative, because The online website would not let
me order anything until I tipped the person who did the same day delivery.

Tipping is an option and you shouldn't be forced to tip!!! Especially when you're not happy with the service.

Following up with my order from last week. I created my account on UPS like JCP recommended and I have an updated address. But guess what UPS still delivered my package to my old address in another state. This is so unbelievable. JCP lied to me. They got my money and I did not get my package. What a disappointment! All liars!

Don't understand that jcpenny would only have one cashier check out area now. I guess they are trying to be like kohls, but kohls also have self checkouts just really sad that they have you waiting 45mins to pay for your items.

Shipped my order to a 10 year old address and they could care less. They got my money and I did not get my products.

They are offering Lenox Portola 65 piece flatware for $298.00 Really? It's $109.00 on Wayfair or Ebay. Seems like a Holy rip-off to me!
