We dealt with Jeffrey Ross for our sale and purchase and we found them to be friendly, professional and reliable at all times. Ollie and Lauren at Brinsons in Caerphilly, Sarah and Maddie in Llanishen and Luke and Ruby in Pontcanna were a pleasure to deal with - always responsive, keen to give advice and we felt that they were always on top of all the communication in what was (for us) quite a complicated transaction. Many thanks to all, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! completely unforgivable experience with renting, they keep changing how much money i owe them, they haven’t given us any sort of invoice, the house is ABYSMAL. cracks everywhere, a whole skirting board missing, a huge patch of damp and black mold that will just be “painted over” as said by this same company, light fixtures falling off, a garden in complete disrepair. i wasn’t expecting the ritz, but i WAS expecting all the money i’m sending to these grimy money grubbing hounds, to at least go towards somewhere decent to live. the staff (that i have spoken to at least) are all miserable, unhelpful, frankly nasty people. god forbid you’re ever locked out of a room, because all you’ll get is “what do you want me to do about it”. i don’t know, maybe your job? i hope someone from Jeffery Ross personally reads this, and personally takes it to heart. seriously, what a tragic, pitiful excuse for a company. i hope you enjoy my money, because it’s all i have, besides this run down, breaking roof over my head you call a “house”.

I used Jeffrey Ross estate agents for my university home for the past year, for most of the time, they were fine, leaving us be with a few inspections throughout the year. However, they proved no use when getting our deposit back - they provided false information which then cost us money from our deposit, as well as this, the communication between us and them, alongside Jeffrey Ross and the landlord, was slow and elusive with references made to an inventory that was never established to us or shared with us throughout the entirety of the tenancy. This meant that we didn’t have a clear idea what they were referring to at time, a tactic I imagine was employed to make it more difficult for us to counteract the claims. Additionally, we have been waiting now for over a month with no sign of any amount of the deposit being returned to us. The landlord continues to hide behind to estate agents, and whilst I appreciate they are not the ones withholding our deposit, we had to prompt them after three weeks to even begin the process of getting it back.
Overall, don’t use if you want your deposit back!

I highly recommend the Pontcanna Sales team. From our first meeting, they were approachable, relatable and trustworthy. As a single person selling my home, that meant a great deal to me, and I genuinely felt I was in safe hands throughout the entire process.

Communication was excellent from start to finish. I was always kept up to date via multi-channel communication, and the Keyflo system was a fantastic addition, making it easy to stay abreast of viewings, bookings, feedback and progress at every stage. It gave me complete visibility and reassurance throughout the sale.

The whole process felt seamless and well managed. They took control when needed, but always in a supportive way, guiding me through each step without ever being pushy or making me feel pressured. Their experience and calm approach made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and manageable.

Most impressively was their confidence in the value of my property. While other agents suggested lower valuations and listing prices, they proposed a much more competitive strategy and ultimately achieved the higher sale price they had predicted.

Professional, knowledgeable, supportive and genuinely caring, they exceeded my expectations. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to sell their home.

When my first sale fell through, the team acted quickly to re-market the property, and it resulted in a swift new sale. Professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. I’d happily recommend them.

Our experience with the Roath branch during the sale of our property fell significantly below the standard one would reasonably expect from a professional estate agency.

Continuity of service was notably deficient. Our named agent was repeatedly absent on annual leave without prior notification, and there appeared to be no effective handover process. Covering staff were insufficiently briefed, requiring us to repeatedly restate key details about our property or wait until the named agent’s return.

Communication was consistently reactive rather than proactive. Updates were rarely provided unless explicitly requested, and even then required persistent follow-up.

Marketing activity was minimal and lacked initiative — limited largely to an online listing and circulation within the agency’s existing database. In a challenging market, it was concerning that we, as clients, were left to propose strategies to improve interest.

The mid-process introduction of the KeyFlo platform — without notice or explanation — further disrupted communication and added unnecessary complexity.

When we raised these concerns, the response from our agent was dismissive and, at times, unprofessional in tone, suggesting a lack of accountability. Although escalation to senior leadership resulted in a temporary improvement, this was neither sustained nor sufficient.

More serious concerns arose in relation to basic operational standards:
* Our property was left unsecured following a viewing while we were away, representing a clear breach of trust.
* We were not accurately informed of viewing attendees; on one occasion, a prospective buyer attended with an electrician to undertake a form of survey without our prior knowledge or permission.
* Viewing feedback via KeyFlo was frequently delayed and often lacked any substantive content (eg “Second viewing completed”), undermining its usefulness.

Despite these cumulative failings, our reasonable request for a modest reduction in fees—reflecting the level of service provided—was declined without meaningful engagement.

Taken together, these issues reflect systemic shortcomings in communication, professionalism, and client care. This was a frustrating and, at times, concerning experience. We would not recommend this branch.

They only care about money and profits. Constant lies, promise the world and deliver nothing. Most dishonest estate agents I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Never again!

Super helpful and friendly throughout the process

Maddie at JeffreyRoss was fantastic to deal with and was instrumental in moving the purchase of our first house along when things seemed slow. We were always provided with timely updates, quick responses to emails, and overall friendliness whenever I rang. I would abolutely recommend JeffreyRoss to anyone.

I used Jeffrey Ross to sell my house. Unfortunately I had to pull out of the sale very last minute due to personal issues. Jeffrey Ross were really understanding and helpful during this time and even waived the termination fee. Can’t recommend enough. Thank you

Jeffrey Ross, Pontcanna Branch staff went above and beyond to make sure we could rent a flat in time to start a new job. Our circumstances were complicated and time was short, but Gemma, Ryan, Cody and Maria were so helpful and efficient that the whole process was turned around in a few days. I highly recommend their excellent and personal service.

Good house details prepared and portal info link established. Agreed Buyer sell price established in a reasonable timeframe, but Completion took 6 weeks longer than originally planned. Actions & drive post agreed sell-price being established (Maddie), was good.

We've just signed for our house today and we had a great experience using Jeffery Ross to purchase our first house, would recommend if you want a seamless process.

The only reason for not 5 stars is that there was some info I had to chase up about the property that i needed from management company and have to follow up post completion.Im sure if they were aware from vendor then would have informed me.

I recently applied to rent a property through Jeffrey Ross, and I was disappointed with the outcome. My friend and I, both male, were interested in a spacious 932 sq ft off Waterloo road advertised as 2 bed flat that had two official bedrooms and an additional small room, effectively making it a three-bedroom flat.

Despite the ample space, we were informed that the property was only available for a single person or a couple due to the presence of elderly residents in the building. This decision felt unreasonable, especially since the flat was more than suitable for two individuals. We believe our application was rejected without a valid explanation, as we were not given the opportunity to provide additional context or details about our previous rental history, where we lived peacefully among elderly neighbors for over two years Edward Nicholl Court which is literally 2 min's walk from property we been interesting to rent .

It was frustrating to be denied based on criteria that seemed unclear and biased. We were fully capable of affording and maintaining the property, and this experience has raised concerns about the fairness of the rental process with this agency. I hope that such practices are reviewed, as they can be disheartening for potential tenants in today's rental market.

Have called the Penarth branch in the past and more recently, always get a prompt and helpful reply. I was especially impressed by Jess who went above and beyond to offer advice and provide details of various properties to view. Great customer service.
