Pastry was in date by 2 weeks but was moldy. It was purchased on day was using. Left contact details for them to reply but a random company contacted me 2 days later requesting bank details, address etc. I don't trust having another company having my details when can't see any connection. I found a number to check with jus-rol but just get an automatic message saying to use online contact. Nothing has been resolved and no way to check how companies could be connected.

I bought the ready to roll croissants for Christmas morning - big mistake! I made sure the product was well in date, but as I opened the cardboard tube the dough literally exploded out. I wasn't sure if this was meant to happen, so I cooked the croissants anyway. Only when I came across a youtube demo with well-behaved dough did I realise that the product had been faulty. Customer services have been polite but useless - ignoring my query about health concerns re fermenting pastry and (unbelievably these days) asking for all my bank details to compensate!!! I will not buy again.

The new cinnamon swirls are a complete disaster. Loads more plastic in packaging. The cinnamon taste is minimal. The dough is tight and dense….they could have been in oven for 25 minutes and they wouldn’t have cooked properly. My boy used to adore these, now he doesn’t want me to buy them.

Purchased the Pain au chocolat roll and they were more than disappointing. Awful taste, very salty. And even when you follow the cooking instructions they turn out nothing like they advertise. The pastry is not as it should be and tastes almost uncooked in the middle. Was a previous purchaser of these and they were fine, but not anymore. Not sure what’s happened. Certainly no longer recommend these.

Awful, I won't be buying jusrol cinnamon swirls again. Tasteless, messy and the extra added plastic.

Dont know why changed recipe, its awful now. Used to buy every week, WONT BE BUYING AGAIN.

I Jus Ro bought gluten free puff pastry (by mistake) and it was awful I will definately not buy this agin. It was hard when baked with vitually no 'puff' and very hard to cut. Your normal puff pastry is good so why is the gluten free not the same.

Don’t know what you have done but the shortcrust pastry is now terrible, it’s so hard to use and then came out so weird, theres holes all over my pie when it was cooked even though there were none when I made the pie, I can’t use this product anymore it’s impossible

I have already complained about what looked like mould on the cinnamon bun pastry, when I unrolled it. I sent lots of photos, and was told I would receive a reply,which I did, but it came to nothing. The e-mail they sent has gone, and instagram are ignoring me. My 4 year old grandson, would have eaten it, if I hadnt noticed. I’m furious about being blanked now.

The recent changes to your cinnamon swirls have made the product less enjoyable. The added complexity and messiness of the new process have left me and many others disappointed. The end result is now terrible. As a result, I won't be purchasing them anymore. I suggest reconsidering these changes to maintain customer satisfaction.

Haven’t had cinnamon swirls in a while and due to the new recipe I won’t be ever buying them again in the future. Really awful taste and now extra fiddly.

Just here to add my name to the list of people incredibly disappointed with the "new" cinnamon swirl recipe. The cinnamon mixture tastes horrible, and the whole process has become so fiddly. If I wanted to apply my own filling, I would make them from scratch. The whole point of Jus Rol products is to save time. It now takes an extra 10 minutes to prepare these, and they fall apart when lifted off the baking sheet. My family won't eat them enymore.

I sent in a complaint to their customer service, and this is what I got back:

"We are grateful that you brought this matter to our attention. Comments about our products are carefully monitored, because we are continually striving to meet the needs and preferences of our customers. Prior to introducing any product, extensive consumer testing is done. Each product must receive a high rating in our testing program before it goes on the market.

Some of our products have recently moved production facilities and as a result the opportunity arose to develop and improve on our existing high quality product. During development of the new and improved recipes we noted that 70% of consumers prefer the new pastry dough due to better taste, better texture, and a better appearance.

Our new recipe and preparation method for our Jus Rol Cinnamon Swirl contains a separate cinnamon filling container allowing our consumers to apply the desired amount and allows the possibility to create their own.

We understand your dissatisfaction and we take your comments very seriously. Additional packaging is recyclable. It was in response to a request to be able to add the quantity of cinnamon filling by yourself that we wanted to offer this new recipe. Please note in any case that your comments have been forwarded to the department concerned."

So clearly they chose the facility change as an opportunity to re-tool, completely changing the recipe. I don't know where they are finding their test subjects, but judging by the comments here, "normal" people truly despise the new product. If I were Jus Rol, I'd fire my market researchers and revert back to the old recipe. No wonder they aren't being stocked in my local grocery store anymore.

What's more, it appears all one has to do to change the entire recipe of a product is to send in a request, such as how someone requested to be able to manually add the cinnamon mixture. That must mean that they will listen to our requests to undo this hideous change... right? Right?

I notice that, up to now, no one from the company has replied to any of these comments. They must be unaware of TrustPilot.

Wow the person/team who decided to change the cinnamon swirls really messed up. Have seen nothing positive of this change.

What have you done to your puff pastry recipe ! What a mess trying to use your puff pastry block. So soft when come out packet. Brick hard top when cooked and raw inside. Second pie wasted as well It was rolled thinner but was brick hard as well. Wasted Sunday lunch Sorry lost a customer.

The 'new recipe' for cinnamon swirls is so disappointing on so many levels: taste, presentation, application, the environment.
It is so much more fiddly to prepare, does not look anywhere near as good, nor does taste as good and there is the added environmental impact from an extra plastic tub and lid. Please revert back to the original recipe.

We have always enjoyed the tasty easy to bake jus-rol products. Why the low score then? Two words......cinnamon swirls! The original swirls were a firm family favorite but we will not be buying anymore in the current format, what a mess. You had a winning formula and spoiled it, I presume, for profit. At a time when the rest of the world is trying to reduce one use plastics jus-rol seem to be increasing them.

Absolutely awful, why the hell did you change it? Youve seriously gone backwards on this one. Terrible idea making your own and taste different.

New cinnamon rolls are rubbish. Taste awful and a faffy mess to make. The old ones were incredible and we'd buy at least two rolls a week. No longer on the shopping list.

Just opened the pain au chocolate to find no chocolate sticks in the pack very disappointed 😞 should be Pain NO chocolate
