£3000 order and appalling end result
I made an order for £3000 worth of blinds for my new extension and my existing living room.
I had the motorised blinds fitted first and was very disappointed. There was a 2 inch gap on two side windows where we could see outside and anyone outside could see in. I expressed how I thought this fit was appalling and not at all reflective of a bespoke product and, initially I thought the blinds may have been fitted incorrectly. I was assured that someone would come out and take a look to see what could be done.
In the meantime the blinds in my extension were fitted. These were fine and I was satisfied.
Someone did come out to look at the motorised blinds and told me this 2 inch gap was normal. I expressed my dismay and could not fathom how a bespoke product could have a gap large enough to see through. The person I dealt with, Clare Gill has offered to 'quote' me for replacement blinds that will not have such a huge gap... quote me! she has no intention of making good the awful fit of the product they supplied.
She responded to my concerns saying "However, we will not be removing and refunding blinds that have been correctly supplied and fitted." They were not correctly supplied and fitted if they do not cover the window.
I will be taking this up with trading standards and possibly the small claims court.
I cannot believe this company is happy to fit products that are clearly not fit for purpose and to give such a shoddy, rude after sales service.
I wish I could post photos of the dreadful fit of the motorised blinds to illustrate how badly they fit.
Avoid this company. They do not delivery the superior product they advertise and they remove any reviews which indicate a customer is not 100% satisfied.
