The safe environment my kids are in overall, with everything going on in Public Schools.

Enjoy the program. Do not care for the new system. The other one was way more beneficial and easier to understand.

INDGA has been absolutely amazing for both my daughter and son! They truly care about your children and have their best interest in mind.

Hardly any phone communication, and we have not felt like we have been supported for my childs needs in the classroom. Too much screen time and not enough physical bookwork. Also crazy fluctuating schedule. 2024-2025 was great, but this year it went downhill fast. No longer a good fit for my daughter.

(This review is from the 2024-2025 school year. It took me a long time to even write this review because of how emotionally painful it was.) My child’s experience was absolutely horrible!!! I was extremely hurt as a parent upon forcefully withdrawing my son from TNVA. When my son who has an IEP first started, he was somehow put in regular classes which, was frustrating because I was having to do the work for him because of his delay. They were also expecting him to do work on a level that was too advanced for him. Finally, we got him into the SPED classroom and that was the beginning of an unforgettable experience. My son is verbal and can communicate, so he’s not incapable of doing work on his own. His teacher, Ms. Graham was either racist or had something against me for whatever reason, she was lazy, mean, and not a suitable fit to be teaching kids with special needs. She was just putting on an act the times she seemed “nice” (TNVA hires anybody to teach) She talked to them like they were older kids without disabilities. I have witnesses who would be in the room with my son when I couldn’t be listening to how ugly her tone was. She did not communicate well or explain things unless you asked and even then she would barely tell you what you needed to know. When she sent emails, they were structured unprofessionally without a proper greeting. The one time she did explain something in detail was an email she sent to all the parents complaining about the kids falling asleep and that they were already starting at a later time like she was doing them a favor. They were falling asleep because her curriculum was boring to a class of children with different learning needs. She eventually changed the time to an hour early and expected small young children, some with severe disabilities to be fully awake and not fall asleep. She was in a different time zone, so her time was still later than us in CST. That’s a big adjustment for kids period. At the start of class, she would go over what was expected to earn a grade. My son only missed a day or two, maybe three out of the school year. He participated and did what was required everyday. I was sitting right there. A little while after him being in her class, she started to pick at him about little things. I reported her behavior to a supervisor and she suggested I transfer him to another class. I didn’t transfer him then because I wanted to try and work things out without putting my son through all of that. After observing this for so long, I decided to go ahead and try to transfer him. So, in the process of doing that, I find out he has failing grades. Ms. Graham never mentioned this to me because I thought he was doing everything he was suppose to do to obtain a passing grade. The only thing she mentioned was in an email and later announced to the whole class about everyone needing to work in Moby Max and N2y as required. She never said he was failing. He was not able to transfer because of this. So, as a result, he had to remain in her class. The final straw was when she called my son out one morning (I am literally sitting right next to him helping him with his work) saying loudly in front of everybody, “YOU NEED TO BE PAYING ATTENTION” (I don’t want to say his name, but she called specifically called his name). That was humiliating for my son and me as his parent. He was working like everyone else, but for some reason she thought he wasn’t. She had done this several times before, and I just tried to look over her. But, this day, I was done with her mistreating my child. I made a statement to her as any parent would have out of anger and we left the class. After this, I asked to have a meeting with the principal. We got the meeting setup and Ms. Graham was praised by staff and members for her terrible teaching and ugly behavior. I was treated like my concerns didn’t matter throughout the duration of the meeting all because of my reaction to her mistreatment to my son. The principal barely looked up from her computer and didn’t say a word and seemed unbothered, the other staff member talked to me rather cold and rude, and the assistant principal just continuously took up for Ms. Graham actions. I left that meeting with no resolve and no apology from neither one of them. I tried to report the mistreatment to Nashville and several other agencies for kids with IEPs. No one was able to provide a resolution to the way this lady treated my son. I am still working on reporting her and TNVA. I do not care how long it takes or how much time has passed. She does need to be teaching kids with special needs and they need a new staff for the betterment of children with disabilities.
I feel this homeschool program has really helped our son gain confidence in himself. He has all the support and help he needs when needed. This is our second year with INGDA and we are so glad we switched from traditional school to homeschool. We had an issue with our son's computer and they sent us a new one within a weeks time. We really appreciate everything this school offers for the students socially and academically.

Too many changes and chaos throughout this school year. Lack of communication with stakeholders about changes in advance, such as abruptly changing language arts curriculum, and changing math in the middle of the semester. Many technical difficulties with Great Minds and difficult platform at the beginning of the semester.
Overall not satisfied with LSOA this school year. I don't have confidence in the stewardship of LSOA.

What I like:
The structured lessons and timeliness of posting the weekly assignments. The ease of finding out what assignments are missing and what the grades are is something that I like the most.

Would love to see different times for live sessions so it fits our schedule better.

Indiana Gateway Digital Academy has allowed so much more opportunities for me and my child. As a single mom it's hard working around a work schedule and a school schedule and still make time to spend with your children. This online opportunity allows us to work school around our schedule. And now we get to travel more & meet new people as we sometimes go and meet up with with new friends/ classmates we've gotten to know online from school around the state. The teacher are great, and the online interaction is just like being in a classroom still, but seems so much more comfortable and laid back. Less like the brick building structure I knew as a kid. IGDA is wonderful, and my son actually loves school now. We are both so glad to have found you,and been given this opportunity.

I'm very happy with all the support from the teachers and overall staff. My son was switched teachers suddenly but his new teacher Mrs. Wilkins made it easy for him to adapt. Overall great experience.

The teachers are very helpful when a student doesn't understand a lesson and are willing to help them. Teachers are very patient and polite. The lessons are clear on the students calendars and easy to follow.

My family has been with INGDA for almost 3 years now. I will say that it is by far the best decision we have ever made for our children. We will be an INGDA family until my youngest son graduates.

INGDA is a great program and really works for our daughter. She has learned so much within the pressure of in person classes.
