Teachers have been excellent- especially Rashawna Bennett, Baylee Bermejo, Sarah Long, and sub Ms.Flores who was temporary replacing Ms. Bowman.

Tutoring is available! Live classes and assignments are not too overwhelming

Gabriella has been part of FLCCA since 2nd grade, and in August 2026 she’ll be starting 11th grade. Our family feels incredibly grateful and blessed to have been part of such an amazing school community. We’ll always be thankful for this experience and truly have no regrets. Cheers to the Class of 2028!

The teachers have been great. K12, providing the school supply,has been awesome. IXL is a big upgrade from mindplay. The updated program for this school year has been horrible. Having to look for each assignment has been the challenge. We were so used to the program having assignments ready for each day. Honestly, I think changing the system is what made a lot of kids fall behind.

The work load is a bit much for a second grader.

I initiated my child’s transfer from Wisconsin to San Antonio in April 2025 and submitted all required documents at that time. By August, her enrollment was still incorrect, and she was placed in the wrong grade.
Throughout the entire school year, important communication...including emails and schoolwork....continued to be sent to her previous Wisconsin account instead of being updated to her current enrollment. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I was continuously redirected between support teams, with no clear ownership or resolution.
As a result, my child did not properly start school in August and experienced significant disruption to her education. While her teachers did what they could, the administrative process failed to support her success.
After a full year without resolution, I have decided to withdraw my child and enroll her in an in-person school for the upcoming year.
For future families, I strongly recommend improving the transfer process, ensuring accurate grade placement, and creating a clear accountability system so issues like this can be resolved quickly and effectively.
If you want it stronger or more blunt, I can tighten it up even more.

I didn’t like the changes with the system and how we kept getting a lot of glitches this year but than once everything got fixed it was better and smoother also I don’t like how we can’t attend lives with another teacher when our teacher is out because than if we have a issue with the lesson being locked we can’t get help and have to wait until the teacher comes back then we get behind on lessons but overall it’s been great minus those issues

Lone Star academy has always been very accommodating and helpful to our family we will be returning for another year because we love it so much!

I would like for yall to have some kind of sign language classes so students can learn more. Also some technology issues faced during this school year

My children are thriving here but the new platform is hard to navigate. The old platform was perfect there was no reason to change. It is a great alternative to homeschool if you need a more structured program. Keep an eye out if you are wanting to keep certain public school agendas out but so far my children are learning real stuff not the political or personal beliefs of teachers.

Love how my daughter has learned so much from home.
