My son goes to Mansion House Kids Planet. He's very happy there. Management is great too.

The whole company completely ruined my mental health and they do not care about anything other than getting as many families in so they can make as much money as possible even when they don’t have the staff for the amount of children. Staff are treated like slaves and are expected to do so much with no appreciation or thanks. Staff are so under paid for everything that they do. The work pressure is far to much for anyone to cope with and been expected to do all the key children’s daily snapshots and assessments alongside everything else and being sent to other nurseries all the time as they are short staffed. The constant pressure from knowing that the QIV (like an internal ofsted) is so stressful and overwhelming. The staff can’t take much more. It’s no surprise we are all leaving.

Kids planet recently took over my children’s nursery, as by the sounds of it many others. The company set about carpet bombing the place to put their stamp on it. The fees increased, a ghost fee for ‘consumables’ was added, total funded hours decreased and they brought all of this lifeless brown and beige furniture in to the rooms. Here’s something that may be shocking, kids don’t care about what the furniture looks like, they want colourful and inviting atmospheres. You’re a corporate beast who are sucking the life out of the nursery I once loved my kids going to. Incredibly disappointing all to try to appease the shareholders.

The kids now dislike going to nursery, they cry whenever we drop them off (they used to be so happy going) and cry whenever they get picked up.

The only saving grace is the staff have largely remained the same.

If you see a nursery is run by Kids Planet, I would strongly advise against selecting it.

The staff are really lovely which is the main reason I choose the nursery. The manager and the room staff are are super friendly and helpful.
However the facilities are in need of upgrading.
The rooms are dark and grubby. The rooms need painting, a good clean and some new toys and equipment.

Every parent dreads the day their child starts nursery. I know I did! All my worries melted away when I receive constant updates and pictures throughout the day of she’s getting on. The team at Kids Planet Apley are amazing, they provide a safe and welcoming environment. Immaculately clean and brilliant stimulation provided encouraging constant learning. Excellent menu choices, plenty of variety. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds, can honestly say she has made such progress. She has such a special bond with Sophie and Amber it’s lovely. I can’t recommend this nursery enough for any parent in search of one. Only positive feedback from me.

Kids planet has recently taken over my daughter’s nursery. The service standard has fallen noticeably and I fear that the nursery is not operated with the end user in mind with more focus on profit.
I am less than impressed to say the least with several matters since the hand over has taken place.

To confirm my issues are not solely around billing and invoicing, clearly misinterpretingy email correspondence and have not telephoned me as requested

The staff at kids planet apley are not only incredible kind and welcoming. They strive for our children’s greatness and learning. My son has come out of his shell an immense amount since being apart of kids planet apley. I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else.

My child has been attending kids planet Apley for just over a year. They made the settling in process so easy and made me feel at ease and reassured leaving my little one! She has made so much personal, social and emotional progress since attending nursery! I couldn’t be happier with how she is doing and the main thing, she is happy! She LOVES going to nursery and will ask throughout the week and weekend if she can go to nursery today! The staff care about the children and keep you up to date with how they are doing! I have just increased the number of days my daughter is doing and she is continuing to thrive! She has just moved into a new room and the staff have made the transition so easy and she has settled wonderfully! I can’t thank them enough for all they do!

Staff are friendly and experienced. They do a variety of activities with the kids both educational and some just for fun. They always put extra effort in at certain times of the year, like Christmas, to make it more magical.
Lots of pictures and updates of my child’s progress. My child enjoys the variety of lunches they provide and always has a second portion. Outdoor space is well thought out and well used in good weather.

The staff are incredibly patient and friendly, providing really fun & engaging activities for the kids. My son comes home happy, well fed, and worn out, always a sign of a successful day! The team have been really supportive in helping our son with speech challenges, and have established a fantastic bond with him. Fantastic setting, which we'll miss when he moves on to primary

We are really happy with our experience at this nursery! The management team are super responsive and make every effort to get to know & support each child, and the room staff are really engaged and warm with the children. Our little boy loves it and has gained so much from his time there!

So our child has been here for 3 years now and she absolutely loves it. All the staff always have time for you. All updates are done on time.

My son has been going to Kids Planet Audenshaw for 3.5yrs and is currently now in Pre-School. All of the carers I’ve personally dealt with have been great, along with the admin team/managers who have always resolved any issues.

Our 2 year old son has been at this nursery since shortly before his first birthday and he loves it. The staff are caring and know him well and he attends happily. They’ve supported him in the arrival of his little brother and he is developing really well in terms of language and interest in the world which we really appreciate their support and experience with

We have been parents at Audenshaw for the past 8 years, our eldest child joined when the nursery first opened, our youngest then joined in 2017 and both still attend the holiday club.
We have had nothing but positive experiences, both our children were more than ready for school when the left and continued to thrive. They now enjoy coming back to see their friends each holidays

The staff at kids planet in Heswall have absolutely blown me away after a terrible experience at a different local nursery. My little girl never settled at her old nursery but here I pick up a very happy toddler and she tells me how much fun she’s had. It’s clear the staff here are very passionate about what they do and care a lot for the children in their care. They have been amazing with my toddler and tell me how much they all love her when I collect her. I’m so thrilled to have found kids planet Heswall and recommend them to everyone I meet.

My daughter loves it! She’s always so happy and playful whenever I go to pick her up.

Many a positive recommendations from friends, we knew we had to visit Kids Planet. I was not disappointed. Amazing nursery, caring staff and my son loves it! I wouldn't use any other nursery, thank you to the staff.

Horrendous experience from start to finish with Kids Planet in Wallsend. Had my 1 year old in for settling in sessions and he screamed the entire time to the point he was hyperventilating, handing over to a different nursery worker everytime and didn’t even know who his key worker was. The place is absolutely chaotic and management seem to be more interested in pushing open days to get more children in to line their pockets. When I stated I was pulling him out didn’t seem interested one bit on what they need to work on. Each to their own however I would avoid this nursery especially if your child is rather young.

Absolutely awful company to work in. Though they hire anyone, but don’t look at the proper background of employees. I’ve worked in 2 kids planet nurseries and know people who used to go there and we all have quit. They are always understaffed every nursery. Employees leave left right and centre. And any new employees be wary. There are some things they dont tell you when you get the job. If you ever leave Kids Planet it’s extremely hard to get a new job. Because apparently Kids Planet don’t provide references whenever you find a new job. It’s apparently against the ‘rules’. Then how do you expect us to get a role and earn money if we can’t get a reference from the last place we worked at? Secondly once you’re first aid trained they don’t give you any certificates. So there’s no actual proof you’re trained even when you go to a new nursery you can’t prove you’re first aid trained. What a joke. They don’t want you to get a new job in another nursery that’s what it is I guess. Don’t waste your time applying here!
