Jessica Trotter assisted me with my new mortgage and she could not have been more helpful. Jessica was proactive in checking interest rates periodically, to let me know whether there was a better offer on the market, or not. Really happy with the service I received on this new house. This is the second time I have used L&C, and would happily recommend them.

From start to finish Lauren was nothing but helpful and tried to get the best deal possible for me with my finances and circumstances. It was stress free and made the process so much simpler. I will definitely be staying with LC mortgages for my future remortgaging

Excellent experience at the start with getting a mortgage offer. However soon changed mid to end of the process, didn’t review paperwork and finances before completion and never picked up shortfall. Due to this expectation to pay a lump sum a week before completion with no option to add to mortgage due to timeframe given to us.
Would never use again! The stress and financial burden caused was massive due to businesses error.
And little care given unfortunately.
We feel when dealing with people finances extra care should be given. And in our situation they didn’t.

One thing that stood out for me was the freindly service from my broker Ian, nothing was to much trouble. He managed to keep my mortgage with my precent lender and a great interest rate.

The online portal was well designed and easy to use

As a first-time buyer, stepping into the property market felt completely overwhelming, but working with London & Country (L&C) made the entire process remarkably smooth and stress-free.

From my very first conversation, Luke was fantastic. He took the time to carefully walk me through every stage of the journey, clearly explaining all of my available options without making me feel rushed or out of my depth.
Before speaking with L&C, I had consulted an estate agent’s in-house mortgage advisor.

However, the upfront broker fees they wanted to charge simply to arrange the mortgage felt entirely ridiculous. L&C managed to secure me the exact same mortgage deal as the estate agent, but with zero broker fees saving me well over £800 right off the bat.

Throughout the application, the team made everything feel easy, manageable, and transparent. Luke and the team were always on hand to answer my questions, no matter how small with fast, clear, and reassuring advice.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received. If you are a first-time buyer looking for expert advice while saving money on unnecessary broker fees, I would highly recommend L&C. Thank you so much for all your help!

From my initial call to the help and support given to me by Sherif, then from Mollie I felt secure with L&C. I had some technical issues as computer said no, but Mollie helped me and gave me alternate modes to submit documents. This wasn't their fault but my tech abilities. The mortgage came through at the rate decided upon and with no arrangement fee. I would recommend L & C to everyone.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Lauren was our advisor - very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Great communication, efficient and very friendly. We moved through the process on to Drew, our case manager, who finished the process. As first time buyers, we didn't know what to expect but would definitely recommend L&C, especially as we are self employed.

I was really happy with L&C initially and found them helpful throughout the process of arranging my remortgage. Unfortunately, as soon as things went wrong, the communication seemed to completely stop.
My remortgage did not complete on time, leaving me on my lender’s variable rate and in a really uncertain position. This was probably the point at which I needed support and mortgage advice the most, yet I received no correspondence or check-in from L&C.
I emailed them myself on 4th August asking for help and advice and received no response at all.
I appreciate that the problems with the completion were largely on the conveyancing side and not caused by L&C, but I would still expect my mortgage adviser to provide some support when a mortgage they arranged fails to complete as planned.
They were genuinely really good up until that point, which makes the radio silence when things went wrong even more disappointing.

Great service as always, Lawrence has always assisted me with my house mortgage and provides the best deals. The process is always smooth being available every step of the way.

Simple and straight-forward, professional and friendly service and very happy with our latest mortgage deal.

Not worth the money you save using them. Constantly having to chase up. A started enquiring 6 months in advance for a simple remortgage and it didn’t complete until mere days before my existing plan ended. I chased up non stop. One advisor would be on annual leave for 2 weeks. Then I’d have to chase up for a new one, be told I’d get a call back and never get a call back. Chase up again to be assigned a new case handler who then quits her job, then assigned another who simply doesn’t reply. Awful service. Ending up paying a whole 0.5% more for 2 years due to their fault.

This is the second time I've used the services of L&C for remortgage purposes and found them to be very efficient, responsive and helpful with access to excellent rates across a wide range of suppliers. Special thanks to Carl Price for the great service. I would recommend to anyone looking to remortgage.
