Purchased and fitted a turbo from these people on Ebay. Never ran quite right so took to a specialist who took the thing out and inspected it as it was always reading incorrectly on the car's computer. Turns out that the turbo had been incorrectly assembled with the case twisted so that the actuator could never reach full extension. Also discovered that a very cheap Chinese cassette had been used in 'remanufacturing' so this item was not going to last long anyway. London Turbos refused to take any responsibility for the amount of time and costs incurred because of their complete lack of quality control, even though I had video evidence of the fault. Not a good way to treat a pensioner on a state pension either. Avoid these cowboys like the plague. Definitely not a good idea to buy their units....

A couple of my customers have had turbos from this place, absolute cowboys at London Turbos. First customer had a turbo and the actuator failed blowing up the turbo, the second customer got a hybrid turbo that’s basically an OEM turbo with a bigger core and again the actuator isn’t calibrated correctly. They told him to adjust it and now he has they won’t warrant a new unit. Stay away from these cowboys!

Well I’ve read the reviews listed, all I can say is as a professional Garage we have had several turbos and never had an issue, even when we had a problem caused by a rouge chunk of metal from the original turbo that had blown up damaging the new impeller they really looked after us a sent us a replacement turbo at a discounted price.

Fitted turbo supplied by london turbos on a rebuilt engine run in with daily checks then less than 5 months shaft snapped returned to be given loads of nonsense about my engine then oil used and filter ect ect just wont refund or fix unless pay £120 reported to ebay but over 30 days will have to go down route of trading standards AVOID THIS COMPANY !!!!!

One of worst experiences with these unprofessional people they wasted my lot of time and money

I had a leaking seal on my turbo sent it to London turbos for an exchange cost £297 new turbo arrived installed after only 2 weeks and less than 200 miles the turbo shaft snapped so i contacted them they said send it back and they would inspect it they said oil starvation i did not believe this as original turbo had no other fault but leaking seal anyway had already installed new oil feed pipe so it was not oil starvation new oil feed pipe sump off and strainer cleaned all sorted and put back on received the replacement turbo they charged yet another £150 to repair the turbo it arrived and the vanes are grinding on the inside of the turbo outlet want me to send it back so they can then see how it was damaged in transit yet it came wrapped in loads of bubble wrap and polystyrene pads i could have played foot ball for an hour and it would not have gotten any damage to it again its faulty workmanship i will not be sending it back will be taking them to court for all costs and compensation stay away its not worth the hassle they are cheap for a reason best thing for them to do is close their doors i have videos of the turbo grinding they have seen them yet not interested if they sort this problem out i will update this review

Avoid at all costs. Absolute crooks. Ordered a turbo from these cowboys. Had a very experienced mechanic fit it who told me the turbo supplied was knackered. Spoke the them and told me to send it back for testing, if it tested ok they would send me it back. If it was knackered they would send me a new one. Whilst waiting for them to get back to me my mechanic checked the car over again and it showed that the turbo had let oil through into the inlet manifold via the Intercooler causing damage to the engine. The cooler was clear of oil prior to fitting the turbo they supplied. When they got back to me they advised that the original turbo supplied was fine and would be sent back to me, but then sent me a totally new one. Now if it was ok why send me a totally new one(dodgy). They told me my mechanic didn’t know what he was talking about and that a faulty turbo can’t damaged an engine, it’s the engine that damages the turbo. Told me to take them to court if I had a problem. The two members of staff I spoke with were rude and unhelpful, even laughing at me down the phone. Absolute bull crapping cowboys.

Rubbish company do not buy from them I send my turbo on warranty because was broke after one year they stop responded on messages

It took 2 weeks to get a response out of them as they didn't refund for the Turbo, I asked them to send me a photo of my unrefurbished turbo I sent back. They stopped all comunication. They really can't be bothered talking to people. And I never received a refund. Don't trust them.

Job completed when they said it would be and kept informed and updates along the way. Top job, highly recommend.

Lying thieves new turbo was broken so returned it 2nd class signed for 2 days after purchase tried to get refund and as I couldn't find the post office receipt they said they had not received the turbo that was utter rubbish they basically robbed me of £280 when it's hard enough already DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL.

I normally don’t leave reviews but the service I received was very good. The turbo on my Audi A6 had issue causing limp mode. I normally turn the ignition off and back on again normally resolved the limp mode issue but on a trip visiting family I got stuck car would not go over 20mph (non turbo) London turbo came to the rescue and replaced the turbo due to carbon build up and some damaged on the impeller blade. I used them for convenience due to location but cannot fault their service, they showed me the faulty turbo and agreed a price after some haggling. The car was fixed the following day. It’s been nearly 2 months no issue car power is more linear and no more limp mode.

Avoid this company at all costs.

I made the mistake of not reading their reviews prior to purchase. I brought a turbo in February, by September it snapped. When asking for an exchange (as this company apparently offers a 2 year guarantee) I was offered the part to ‘Fix it’ for £110. When I refused, I was told the oil I used was too cheap!!! Then when that was unfounded, there was a fault on my car and that it was not serviced correctly. My mechanic spoke to them, but it appears ‘he’s not a good mechanic’

This company will sell you rubbish, then argue the toss when you try to exchange it. I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere and avoid this company. Unprofessional and rude.

After looking at the website and following the information there, I made a purchase. Unfortunately the information on their website was incorrect so the part would not fit.

I contacted them to ask for a full refund and that they collect the incorrect parts. They refused stating that I had made the mistake.
Despite showing them a screenshot of the web page which stated in black and white that the part should fit my car, they still refused to accept responsibility so I had to go through a PayPal dispute to get a refund and I was left out of pocket for the return of the incorrectly supplied parts.

London Turbos obviously realised that their website was incorrect as after the PayPal dispute was settled, they altered their website to remove the incorrect information.

If you want a reliable business to buy parts for your Turbos and someone sensible to talk about them, look elsewhere.
