An absolute disgrace! They shouldnt be trading and getting away with scamming people!!

I would never recommend this company!
We booked a van with them for 4 days and they sent the wrong van which was unsafe to drive on the road. We found them very rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional and we were scammed by them.
They took money out of our account without our consent and tried to claim we was liable for their wing mirror hit by another third party which we reported to them as the person excepted liability. They had all the details of the third party and were liaising with there insurance however they took £591 out of our bank and wouldnt return it!!
They are scammers please dont use them their scum and shouldn't be trading and aloud to continue trading!!

Was quoted easily and drop off was on time, only slight compliant is that when we dropped the van back earlier than anticipated, I was told explicitly on the phone that we’d have to wait until the time slot we had selected, but in reality they don’t come and pick it up during the timeframe booked and we ended up having to leave the keys in a bush for them to pick up in the end, after having waited around for two hours for apparently no reason!

If this last bit hadn’t have happened, it would have been a five star review. Just need better communication on the drop off process.

Absolute shambles.
Phoned to enquire about hiring a minibus in Inverness. They told me it would have to be delivered to my home and I couldn't collect it. No problem.
After accepting their quote and receiving order confirmation, it said I had to collect the vehicle from Inverness...60 miles away!
I responded that, ok, but I'll have to extend the hire time by a day for me to travel to pick it up, and would they keep the same quoted price? Received an email saying they would look in to it. Next email just cancelled the booking!
Phoned their 'Customer Service' line and after the guy said they cant help me he hung up the phone!
Avoid them.

One of our group got the dates wrong after booking. It was not a problem the team at Nationwide Hire were brilliant in changing the dates. No hassle no drama.

Nationwide dropped car off at Hotel and collected albeit a couple of days after we left without any issues at all. We took photos as they suggested so this gave peace of mind with collection. I would use again as everything went smoothly.

I needed a small van urgently when my vehicle was stuck in the garage awaiting repair. I cannot fault the van, the delivery and collection and customer service.

The van was delivered and collected on time. It was clean and a pleasure to drive.

Absolute joke of a company.
We hired a 7.5t dropside truck for 1 day to move materials between projects and arranged a driver with C1 licence for the day. Had a message confirming the booking well ahead of the hire date.
At 4pm the day before the truck was due to be dropped off, they sent an email saying we had to pay and extra £485 as they needed to extend the hire to a 5 day period due to their sourcing problems.
Avoid these clowns at all costs - they are merely a broker for hire firms.

THIS IS A SCAM. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR PREVIOUS DAMAGES THAT YOU DID NOT CAUSE!
I rented a van from this company and it was in very poor condition. When I was driving the front window seal came loose and was blowing in the wind, the bottom mirror on the wing mirror blew off. There was loads of old dried glue behind it from what was clearly a previous dodgy repair. They have charged me £720 for this. They also claimed I had made scratches on the van exterior, however they were already there when we received the van (I took a video when the van was dropped off).
They rent out dodgy vehicles and charge you for damages you didn't make. I called them to dispute the charge and they were extremely rude down the phone, and hung up on me after I said I shouldn't be liable for the damages as they already were there when they gave me the car.
Do not use this company. Check other reviews on google and trustpilot - they do this regularly.

Very easy process, van was dropped off on time and was clean and tidy. Communication was great, and although it took a few days for it to be picked up that was no issue to us.

Company went out of their way to provide van of length and height needed for a removal to France from Scottish highlands. Brilliant service delivering vehicle to a “remote part of UK” which is not often well served logistically. Friendly team and highly recommended.

Great drop off and collection service after I was badly let down by another provider at short notice. Van was great - only needed for a couple of short runs.

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! AVOID!!! They'll allow you do a booking on the website, take your money and then tell you the car isn't actually available but won't give you your money back because of their terms and conditions.

Horrible, horrible company. Vehicles are not maintained - the beacon bar on the van they hired to us was rusted through. When the beacon fell off we received a damages invoice for over £700?! When disputed they basically told us tough luck, and accused us on a public forum of "leaving a bad review in the hopes we wouldn't have to pay the bill". That was NOT the case - we left a bad review because their service and attitude is DISGUSTING. Absolute cowboys - avoid at any cost! (Also: check their reviews online... the sheer number of 1 star reviews speaks for itself!)

For anyone wanting to hire a car look no further than Nationwide , I have hired a car on a number of occasions now and every time their service has been excellent , I rarely write a review but this time felt obliged to do so , thank you for making everything from booking to returning so easy for me .

Nationwide are an absolutely useless company. I was overcharged by almost £600 after returning the vehicle which was collected by Enterprise. Nationwide's customer services operative was extremely rude and completely unhelpful. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Arranged and paid for a vehicle, only to be told the very same day, that this company couldn’t deliver on their contract. Apparently, if I wanted the vehicle I had already paid for, it was going to cost over DOUBLE!
They told me the money would be refunded in 1-3 days. Now 10 days without the refund, and no replies to my emails, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you need a vehicle.
